  1. While I wouldn't rule anything out at this point, I'd tend to agree. This really looks like an act of domestic terrorist - in the current context (gun control, bad economy, etc), nutjobs tend to pop up left and right. C'mon now. A bomb went off, not a nuke.
  2. Terrifying stuff. It's clearly no accident. I've seen unconfirmed reports of at least 3 casualties. There is also footage of the blast and immediate rescue response after it... it's pretty clear to me that there will be deaths - this didn't seem survivable for anyone caught in the vicinity.
  3. Apart from the helicopter, the Audi R8, the jetski and Trevor holding a pistol, I'm pretty sure all the other pictures in the mosaic are (slightly modified) parts of previously seen artwork: Michael with gas mask: http://www.igta5.com...est-control.jpg Bikini iPhone lady: http://www.igta5.com...ach-weather.jpg Trevor with sniper rifle: http://www.igta5.com...work-trevor.jpg Chop (barking dog): http://www.igta5.com...in-and-chop.jpg I've also seen the motorcycle picture being used by Rockstar as promo material for Social Club events.
  4. I guess this is sort of old news already, but the official box art has been revealed. As you can see, it follows the same mosaic style that has been used since GTA 3, and reuses a lot of the artwork that we've already seen in the last year or so:
  5. Ok, seriously, the whole mod leaking thing needs to stop now. Sort this out between yourselves by email or PM, but I've had it with threads being polluted by this childish fighting. If an unauthorized file is distributed here on EMP, please do report it and the culprits will be dealt with. If such an incident occurs outside of EMP, sort it out outside of EMP. If I see this incident brought up in another topic just once again, warnings and suspensions will be handed.
  6. Yes, please do. I'm closing this topic anyway. As for the "proof", the offending file has been deleted, and the link does not contain any information that would allow to identify the person responsible. Besides, I can only act on things that happen here on Emergency Planet. Please sort this one out between yourselves, but do report activity on this forum that goes against the TOS. Voodoo out.
  7. Oh hai. So, yeah, I'm watching this topic. If you notice something that is against site rules (that includes model theft, but also harassment and useless posts), please report it through the Report Post button. That is all. Have a good day.
  8. That is sad, indeed, but it is my understanding that the dog died from natural causes? He was 11 years old. For his breed, that's 82 human years. Sadly, dogs (and pets in general) have a shorter life expectancy than us humans... that's something we have to deal with and keep in mind when we become attached to them.
  9. Wow! Way to go. I think you just beat the world record of uncalled for comments. You know who the real idiot is? The one who just won himself a warning and a 2 day suspension. Oh and by the way, your anti-bullying avatar just became extremely ironic. If I were you, I'd change it, lest I be taken for an hypocrite.
  10. Topic locked. You have failed to ask permission to use these models, and as it turns out, it will not be granted by the authors.
  11. New screenshots out today: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/03/27/all-new-grand-theft-auto-v-screenshots Scuba diving! Sky diving! Minigun! Lightning! SWAT! Enjoy.
  12. Or, you know, just do whatever you want, but don't ask or tell us about it. Anyway, even if you look past the always-online component, the game is buggy as hell, and a lot of lies have been told about gameplay components that aren't even there (Maxis says they're "working on fixing them", but we all know how profitable is work done on free patches, so don't count on it). As one reviewer put it, the game is nothing more than a pretty screensaver, but gameplay is utterly broken, and a big step down from previous titles. So meh. Waste of bandwidth if you ask me.
  13. While we're here, happy St Patricks day everyone.
  14. Well he's gotta charge for it to pay for a lawyer when all those different parties (game developer, car manufacturers, government agencies) sue him for illegally making a profit out of their intellectual property. Oh, wait...
  15. I have no doubt that this will happen. However, I don't know if the general public will ever be able to benefit for it. EA is probably already lawyering up for that one, and whoever claims to be able to do it will have their blog posts, download links or Youtube videos taken down in a matter of hours - and that will probably just be the tip of the iceberg of their troubles. Of course such a patch could make it into a torrent seeded from the darkest, coldest craphole in Siberia, but by then, I doubt it will be worth all the spyware and malware trouble.
  16. So it took about, what, a week? Ha. I bet someone's trying to figure out offline saves as we speak. Then again, I bet this guy's going to get raped by EA's lawyers by the end of the day.
  17. Isn't that Square Enix? Unless something horrible happened while I wasn't looking.
  18. 1- Customer rep at EA sees your message. 2- Prints it. 3- Adds it to the pile of customer complaints. They probably have a whole warehouse to store those by now. 4- Sub-minimal wage worker picks up your message. 5- Glues it to a string of similar messages. 6- Rolls the string up. 7- Lifetime supply of toilet paper for EA offices around the world.
  19. I'm pretty sure someone mentioned wanting to do this before. I'm not sure in the end if it was possible or if someone even went ahead and did it.
  20. Seems like I've regained my Moderatory Sense and beat you to it, NFK. *evil laugh*
  21. I wouldn't call it bad taste as much as against site rules and worthy of a 2-day suspension. Fully deserved in this case, as the exact same self-entitled "gimme gimme" arrogant question has been posted in another topic. Kameron, this is your 3rd warning in as many months for a violation of site rules. The next one will result in a permanent ban.
  22. By the way, I don't know if any of you have heard how EA is refusing to hand refunds and even threatening to ban the accounts of customers who attempt to legitimately stop payment for a broken product by contacting their bank or credit card provider... Way to go.
  23. Yep, I know. That's why I'll be skipping that one.
  24. Personally, I would recommend not to buy this game unless EA backs out of the online-only model by releasing a patch that allows to play and store game data offline.
