  1. Welcome!

Firstly, as you're talking about the Kent mod, I assume you're referring to Emergency 4 and NOT EM2012 etc. So I've moved this to the EM4 section.

If you have the .rar file, which I guess you do, you open this with WinRAR and extract the files into your games mod folder. There's a button that says extract, or you can simply drag the folder over to the location.

    Hope this makes sense?

  2. Welcome to the forum.

Need slightly more detail on your issue. Did you put the other mods in the right place? Can you still load and play said mods?

If you've put the mod folders in the correct place, and they work there's no issue.

Oh, and clicking on install package will open the box for you to find and select an .e4mod file for the modinstaller to install. You will only see any .e4mod files, not mod folders with all the files. If you open the modinstaller and you see LA Mod etc. then everything is as it should be.

  3. Certain UK trusts have personal issue Paramedic bags... ;-)  But yeah, I agree with that. I've seen people with all kinds of utility belts and 'tactical' style vests. You just look ridiculous.

And definitely, you'll always be learning. Even with years of experience, you could still come across things you haven't seen before. Never be afraid to ask for advice, whether that be from crewmates, or ringing clinical support (I don't know if you guys have that in the US. Over here, there's Paramedics etc. in EOC that you can ring for advice). It's much better to admit you don't know something, that try and wing it and get it wrong.

  4. Always remember the basics, DRABCD (or DRcABCDE) etc., is important. I don't know what you'd have in terms of equipment and monitors, but treat the patient. Don't always go by what the machines say.

I can't comment on what level you'll be taught, but make sure you properly learn your stuff!

I'd also echo the above about interaction, the majority of the job is being able to communicate and remember you might be with a patient for a significant length of time.

  5. Talking about KSSAAT earlier. They've actually just updated one of the helicopters to an AW169, and I believe they are soon both to be based at one location.

It's not that one is a Kent one, and one is a spare. They are both Kent, Surrey and Sussex HEMS, just cover slightly different areas and can provide more cover than having one could.

New content is looking good! What else is planned? Anything extra ambulance wise... SIMCAS maybe?

    can i betatest this please?

    From the ToS:

    • Work in Progress mods, or Private mods are responsible for contacting people they wish to test their mod. Unsolicited contact for such use will be considered the same as asking a release date, and punished with the same.

That and the fact, asking for release dates is against the forum rules.

  7. Yep, follow this tutorial and unlock the vehicles you want to edit (there's also a download with all the files already unlocked in the download centre).

Then the open the skin file (.dds) with a suitable program (paint.net is one such suggestion) for whatever vehicle you want to edit the skin of, and edit away!

  8. You're lucky we didn't notice your post in January actually. We don't like posting in dead topics. This topic was waaaayy beyond being dead... 9 years is definitely a record.

Unless you've edited game files, there's no reason whatsoever for the base game shortcuts to stop working. What have you tried to fix it? Maybe just reinstall the game?
