  2. Here's what you have to do, Open the LA Mod 2.0 Installer and then go through the installation. When it asks where to install, point it towards Wizardworks > 911: First Responders > Mods so it would look something like this - C:\Program Files\Wizardworks\911: First Responders\Mods. After installation, go to the Mods folder in your game folder and see if it installed. Should be a folder called Los Angeles 2.0. If you see it in the mods folder than it should be installed properly so you would want to load the game and go to Modifications and see if Los Angeles 2.0 is in there for you to load.
  3. I'm not sure how digital games work... The 911: FR file should be in a folder called Wizardworks if I recall right.... Well it seems the link to download LA Mod 2.0 is broken right now so can't really guide you through it unless you downloaded before it broke.
  4. The LA mod installs from a Installer so you shouldn't have to mess with any files unless your trying to put submods in... If you have the mod installed, did you load the mod in 911: First Responders? If not, open 911: First Responders, go to Modificications and click on LA Mod 2.0 > Load.

If you read just a page over, it tells you where the download link is BUT I wouldn't worry about downloading it because there are quite a bit bugs on there and Dyson recommends you wait until v2.3 comes out because most of them will be fixed. Well, if you read the first post you would see FDNY units therefore you are in the New York Submod. Downloading it, read the first post. Installing it, just copy the files into your game directory in the program files of your hard drive. This isn't the place to ask about how to make mods. You can go to the forums home page and look for the modding and mod help section and you will find all the information there.

  8. I'm experiencing all the same problems along with the rest. I'm hoping they can be figured out like missing prototypes and crashes when picking up injured. Dyson: don't go crazy trying to get all these things figured out because it was not ready for release. You need testing time for yourself and the team to figure out all the bugs that may come about. I rather have a complete working mod with a few bugs that can be fixed with a couple patches then a 3/4 done mod with lots of bugs and needs tons of patches. In my opinion, I would just continue to work on the submod and not worry about trying to patch everything up unless you can get it all fixed to have a working submod pretty quick that won't take time away from completing the submod. (Someone else posted along the same lines as I did while I was typing this). I don't think I'm going to host the files right now as I don't want to see anymore people come on here and start reporting the same bugs and issues over and over again.
  9. The game will freeze when your loading the mod. Dpending on the speed of your computer is how fast the mod loads basically, could take 2 minutes but then it could take 5, just wait until it loads.
  10. Your probably missing the file needed for the installer to run. There should be a resources folder, an installer, and another file in there. What I did was I just ran the installer under custom not under any versions and installed it to my Mods folder. Then I copied the files form that folder to a fresh copy of the LA mod 2.0 and overwrote everything. I have not loaded the mod yet so before you do what I say, I would wait until I see if it loads right haha but it should. Dyson: I'm still working on the hosting. I'm running into some problems getting it uploaded so I contacted the other moderator who built the system to see what's going on. He should get back to me here shortly and I'll see if I can get ya a faster download speed.
  11. Xplorer4x4 is not in charge of the older versions of w00d's maps and he strictly asks that if you need help on anything to post in the forums not in PM's. I don't think anyone is in charge of it anymore as w00d's been busy with his new house and all. If I remember right, I thought someone made a fix on that in the older versions somewhere so you'll have to dig through the topics to find it. If not, hopefully someone can assist you on fixing them.

  13. I'm not asking for you to release it early or anything, just wanted to ask these couple questions. Couldn't you release the map since the only thing your waiting for is models and lights or are these needed for the submod to be functional? I mean, if you done all this work from the LA mod, then you could use the old LA lights and models temporarily until people decide to help you out right?
  14. I don't think I'm ever going to get this downloaded haha. Every single time I download it, I accidentally close my download window and then I can't download it again until my time limit is up. Megaupload or Rapidshare is much better for file hosting.
  15. Dyson: I sent you a PM concerning hosting. I should be able to give you faster download speed. Protec and others: Where did ya all install this? I think this file is big enough that you don't need to overwrite it with LA Mod 2.0 or anything but I could be wrong. I"m downloading it now so I guess I will see when I get it downloaded. I think the team needs to delete the third VO in the fire station 1 with the ambulance and just have 2 ambulances because 3 will not work with that type of ambulance unless you space the VO out a little farther where the ambulances is 1/4 of the way out of the FS. Well Dyson just replied about the new map so we'll scratch that for now.
  16. It's for all versions. It's their choice if they want to add in the deluxe missions though such as broken hydrants / sniper , etc.
  17. Well these VO changes in this topic are from us wanting to add a second engine in the fire station not for the problem your having. To be honest with ya, I think you should make a new topic describing your problem because it's kinda unrelated with adding another vehicle and I think a lot more people will assist you (more than me at least). When you do, make sure you upload your LAFireStation, LAFireStationStart, LAToFireStation scripts and if you could a couple pictures with the engines facing backwards and batallion in the second VO. Most of us on here use fraps to take screenshots.
  18. So you have modeled a new ladder truck and want to add another ladder to the game, correct? Did you rotate your station when you placed it on the map? There isn't a extra VO that is causing the vehicles to park backwards. I don't think an extra VO will cause that. It's your rotation in your script that may be the problem. Lol, well, it's going to be a lot more complicating fixing your scripts because you changed all the turn to's and gates. Did you make a backup of your script before you made all these changes?

  21. Well, as they said above, either look into replacing the vehicles for what you want since it is pretty basic or download Xplorer 4x4's submod. Highly recommend Xplorer's submod if you want to have additional units at stations. Also, I may be reading this wrong but Fire Station 1 already has a Aerial Ladder, USAR, Fire Engines 1 and 2, and ambulances at startup so no need to modify that station. Fire Station 2 is the only thing you need changed to your needs. No new script needed, just need to modify the LAFireStation, LAToFireStation, LAFireStationStart scripts.

  24. Upload your LAToFireStation script into a zip file and upload it on here so we can take a look at it and maybe get it functional. Well, your second problem is a easy fix but your first problem I'm not positive on. I have my ideas but I'll wait for the script. In my opinion, when you send the units back to station and the garage doors don't open is because the station is all backwards (the gates and virtual objects). Did you turn the station around in your map or is it in the same position?
  25. What do you mean "for this level"? This map is just the same size as any other map because I've played it before.
