  1. Windows 7 already has tremendous driver support. I would make sure your video card drivers are up to date. BTW, Microsoft is now offering free upgrades to Windows 7 when you buy any pre built PC running vista, and you get discount if your purchase a copy of Vista.
  2. The instructions. In the original file I accidental put it in the medical vehicles rather then the fire vehicles. I didnt say upload it, i said post it
  3. No the only fix is here: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ost&p=86437 The guards do work though, just not the icons.
  4. The same way as the LA Mod which has been covered a 1000 times on the forums.
  5. Alright I will hold off on repacking the exe files until I hear back from you.
  6. Opps, I will fix that now. Originally everything was spelled wrong as it was spelled lifegaurd instead of lifeguard, so I had alot of typos to fix. Thankfully it was easy enough to edit the dds file and swap the letters around. BTW, to add to jsuttons post, the vehicles folder thats spelled wrong is in the units folder. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ost&p=86437 As far as I can see the siren script is fine. Post yours here and I will make sure its right.

At this time the LA mod is pretty much considered to be the best mod out there. It provides tons of features as well as stability. I hear the winterberg mod is great, just not very stable.
  8. Thats fine but dont waste peoples time with "I have an error" if you cant give some one a rough idea of what the error said or atleast what script it referenced. Anyways the first post has been updated with attachments containing the fixed instructions.
  9. I do see one small error, I dont know that this would cause the problem but in the instructions.txt I stated to insert the lifeguard truck above the coroners van. Thats the wrong place. Remove it and place it above this line instead: <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/heavy_equipment_squad.e4p" count="2" />
  10. Thank you. I need specific errors, screen shots or typing them out will do.
  11. Updated first post. This has now been released as Beta 1! Enjoy and hopefully some one fixes the bugs.
  12. ^wow, I had no idea it was so complicated, well perhaps I should say diverse? I assumed the answer to my question was yes. Glad I asked and thank you for your detailed response.
  13. I would focus on the RAM for now. I would think you would need some old DDR RAM, which should be cheap these days. With out more info its hard to say for sure but this would likley work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231047 The integrated video chip sucks but it may get the job done barley, as I believe I ran EM4 on the same video chip 7 months ago. I would also make sure you have the latest drivers. Install these drivers: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 Download and install. Should you get any errors then you dont need to install that particular driver.
  14. Yes it is. It just involved editing the shortcut. Search the LA Mod forum for the instructions and modify them to suit your needs.
  15. Isnt this kind of like this: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?showtopic=6729
  16. I asked this before and my post seems to have been deleted, what else is new. Anyways, I was wondering does LACoFD work strictly in area outside the city limits and cover all area out side city limits with in the County?
  17. Has any one tried EM4 in Win 7? I dotn for see it being an issue but just checking.
  18. Yep and its not going to happen sadly. I came down with food poisoning from Subway, so i havent felt to good today. I did what James suspected to be the problem(the unit images were to big) and it doesnt seem to be the case. Since no one else has stepped up to attempt to help me solve this minor bug, I guess I will release this as a beta version tomorrow. I would do it tonight but I need to touch up the install instructions. To make this easy on people, it will come in an exe file that wil copy the needed files, but your still going to have to edit a few files manual but as long as you can read,as well as copy and paste it shouldnt be hard. Official Beta Release Tomorrow 100% for sure!
  19. So just reskin the lightbars and in the editor change the corona type to blue instead of red. Just a tip, look good so far.
  20. ^I could be wrong but i think they use Ford Expeditions for the most part now. The light bars are called highway bars I think.
  21. BTW, the script isnt really hoppahs anyways, it was from EM4/911FR, and like myself he edited it to suit his needs. Update: Now I dont want to lock my self in to a release date here because that hasnt worked out so well for me So instead let me say this, I think there is a 90% chance of release today. I got the random unit script working! The truck is now in game. The Guards are now in the game. The only true bug left is that I can put guard in the truck but the unit images arent functioning quite right in the dispatch screen, but thanks to james I am pretty sure I know what the problem is!
  22. The best thing I have found to do, is update your video cards drivers to the latest. You can go to nvidia.com and try your luck there as they have an automated driver search, but if your running an ATI card, or a something like an Intel Integrated video chip, it wont do you any good.
  23. Thanks mikey been noticing a similar problem, although I do believe i tried most of those things, i will double check in a bit. Thats why i think its best to use imageshack. You can get something for windows that will allow you to right click and image, and upload it to imageshack right from windows. Nice work Bama.
  24. A topic for everyone to show off light set ups you like. Oconomowoc Fire Department 2008 Expedition Command unit. 2008 Crown Victoria from Delafield Police Department I have a feeling some will feel the expeditions over the top, but I dont think that can be said about the CV.
