  1. You messed up your info text. Gotta follow the instructions. First of all: <string name="ID_NAME_LES">LACoFD Life Guard</string> <string name="ID_PURPOSE_LES">The LACoFD Lifeguard truck is used for beach front rescues.</string> Where did you get LES from? Thats not in my instructions. If you want it to be called you have to changed every instance of "LIFEGUARD_TRUCK" to LES. Secondly you should have 3 lines for the lifeguard, just like every other vehicle does.
  2. IUS? Yeah I think I am going to take advantage of that to and pick up a 64 bit edition rather then paying $100+ for 64 bit XP. Thing is I cant decide on weather I want to upgrade or not as soon as its released. I think Im going to preorder and then give it a bit just to be sure they dont manage to screw it up between now and then.
  3. AMR 2 is a box style AMR Ambulance people wanted me to release as a submod, I think I have found an easy way to do the pics now though.
  4. Yeah I know I the truck pic needs touched up, but its not the to priority. As for instructions, i dunno how it got changed back, but i went ahead and uploaded an individual text for now. Thanks for pointing that out.
  5. Ok due to a number of things I have added Beta 2 to the first post. The icons did not seem to work for me, but since there were alot of changes this is officially Beta V2. Starting with Beta 3 I will include a text file to indicate the current version. For those with Beta 1, just download the new rar and install the exe.
  6. yep lol thats why i said they walk like they got a stick up there ass. It doesnt look abnormal for the diver to waddle, but lifeguards another story. I doubt that can be changed but I plan to look into it. I also noticed the units folder for the vehicle is spelled is wrong. I made another typo. Its spelled 155lifegaurd when it should be 155lifeguard. This is probably why it doesnt work. I am going to repack the exes now and attach them to the first post in about 5-10 minutes. I also spotted an error in the unit.xml file for the truck.
  7. That could easily do it:p BTW, always make a back up before applying mods, especially a beta one.
  8. Windows 7 already has tremendous driver support. I would make sure your video card drivers are up to date. BTW, Microsoft is now offering free upgrades to Windows 7 when you buy any pre built PC running vista, and you get discount if your purchase a copy of Vista.
  9. The instructions. In the original file I accidental put it in the medical vehicles rather then the fire vehicles. I didnt say upload it, i said post it
  10. No the only fix is here: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ost&p=86437 The guards do work though, just not the icons.
  11. The same way as the LA Mod which has been covered a 1000 times on the forums.
  12. Alright I will hold off on repacking the exe files until I hear back from you.
  13. Opps, I will fix that now. Originally everything was spelled wrong as it was spelled lifegaurd instead of lifeguard, so I had alot of typos to fix. Thankfully it was easy enough to edit the dds file and swap the letters around. BTW, to add to jsuttons post, the vehicles folder thats spelled wrong is in the units folder. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ost&p=86437 As far as I can see the siren script is fine. Post yours here and I will make sure its right.

At this time the LA mod is pretty much considered to be the best mod out there. It provides tons of features as well as stability. I hear the winterberg mod is great, just not very stable.
  15. Thats fine but dont waste peoples time with "I have an error" if you cant give some one a rough idea of what the error said or atleast what script it referenced. Anyways the first post has been updated with attachments containing the fixed instructions.
  16. I do see one small error, I dont know that this would cause the problem but in the instructions.txt I stated to insert the lifeguard truck above the coroners van. Thats the wrong place. Remove it and place it above this line instead: <vehicle prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/02 LA Fire Department/heavy_equipment_squad.e4p" count="2" />
  17. Thank you. I need specific errors, screen shots or typing them out will do.
  18. Updated first post. This has now been released as Beta 1! Enjoy and hopefully some one fixes the bugs.
  19. ^wow, I had no idea it was so complicated, well perhaps I should say diverse? I assumed the answer to my question was yes. Glad I asked and thank you for your detailed response.
  20. I would focus on the RAM for now. I would think you would need some old DDR RAM, which should be cheap these days. With out more info its hard to say for sure but this would likley work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231047 The integrated video chip sucks but it may get the job done barley, as I believe I ran EM4 on the same video chip 7 months ago. I would also make sure you have the latest drivers. Install these drivers: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...-1&impid=-1 Download and install. Should you get any errors then you dont need to install that particular driver.
  21. Yes it is. It just involved editing the shortcut. Search the LA Mod forum for the instructions and modify them to suit your needs.
  22. Isnt this kind of like this: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?showtopic=6729
  23. I asked this before and my post seems to have been deleted, what else is new. Anyways, I was wondering does LACoFD work strictly in area outside the city limits and cover all area out side city limits with in the County?
  24. Has any one tried EM4 in Win 7? I dotn for see it being an issue but just checking.
  25. Yep and its not going to happen sadly. I came down with food poisoning from Subway, so i havent felt to good today. I did what James suspected to be the problem(the unit images were to big) and it doesnt seem to be the case. Since no one else has stepped up to attempt to help me solve this minor bug, I guess I will release this as a beta version tomorrow. I would do it tonight but I need to touch up the install instructions. To make this easy on people, it will come in an exe file that wil copy the needed files, but your still going to have to edit a few files manual but as long as you can read,as well as copy and paste it shouldnt be hard. Official Beta Release Tomorrow 100% for sure!
