Agreed, as much as I hate those light bars, it is more realistic that way. Our State Police STILL use the JetSOlaris bars which are almost the exact same, and they use the old school rotators versions not the LED versions. Slowly there moving to the Arjents though.

Um not all of us here are children. I am 24 and lived on my own almost a year now, and hope to get out of this place in December when our lease is up. In the past 6 months, with in 200 yards of my apartment there have been 4 fires, 2 over doses, 1 pantie thief(literally the guy was stealing womens panties from the apt laundry mat), 1 residential break in, 1 commercial robbery(guy robbed subway, and led police on a short high speed chase) and even more I cant remember, and the thing is, while these are some of the cheapest apts in town, its an growing commercial district. EDIT: BTW, telemarketing places hire damn near any one on the spot. I make $7.25 for the first two weeks, $7.50 for the next 2 weeks and can make $1.00 an hour on bonus pay(so technically $8.50 an hour), then move up to $7.75 for about a month and can make another $10 an hour in bonus pay(so almost $18 an hour), and still can advance 2 or 3 pay rates with in the first year. Try making that kind of money at McDonalds(no offense). Most telemarketing places pay damn good money and hire any one on the spot(including alot of ex-felons so long as there felons not cc theft or something like that). They train you in, give you time to get the hang of it, and so long as you can sell and meet goal your good to go.

Mike, or Novious, in larger cities like Chicago I notice they have officers standing in intersections directing traffic to help keep intersections clear for the most part I would guess, but are these types of officers utilized in LA much?

Well as NFK said, that would make traffic worse, but not even for said reasons, but if you divert traffic behind it, that will back up traffic on the opposite side of the roads as they will have to stop to allow traffic from behind the patrol car to turn around.

You mean external? You already know the anser I am sure but for the sake of the question, the eSATA drives can handle the data much better, but heat is still a concern for most external hard drives. Its a factor on internal drive performance/reliability, but most cases have better air flow then most external hard drive cases.

If you had bothered to provide information perhaps we could have figured that out for you 3 weeks ago. USB Drives are best suited for data storage, not running games off of. USB drives have a much slower access time then an internal SATA Hard Drive.

I love the idea, and it would be very easy to accomplish. The admins just need to create a new user group basing the permissions on the current group, and simply disable there permission to download stuff. Of course thats not a full proof method, because any one with a half brain can figure out how to get around it(which i wont say in-case Stan and Hoppah like the idea) and of course stan could always write a little php code that processes a list of IPs and bans that IP from the download center scripts. Of course that not full proof either, but then general idea is worth looking into imo.

Start->Programs->Sixteen Tons->Emergency 4->Emergency 4 editor. This editor lets you assign commands, edit lights, parts ot the map and some other stuff. To create your own vehicles requires you to make 3d Models and paint them. This is not easy. You need an app like zmodeler to make the models.

Why dont you look at the benchmarks. You will see that the point I was trying to make(sorry it was late). Take a comparable ATI and NVIDIA card. The ATI benchmarks will fall ever so slightly short of the nvidia card, so much its not going to be noticeable in the real world. The ATI will have a cheaper price and perform almost the same as a comparable NVIDIA card. I have to agree with not going to future proof, but keep in mind he needs something powerful enough to run things on a 27 inch monitor.

Yes, it is very very hard to do in EM3 if memorey serves me right. Just switch to EM4 Its better then EM3 in every way.

And since it is part of the game it is likley hard coded into the game. Now being a software engineer, you may be able to reverse the games files to revel the code. I had a program to do it but i forgot what it was now. Anyways if you can do that you can see the code for the traffic light failure and perhaps modify this to suit your needs.
