  1. Your display memory is a bit low (256 MB). You can try upgrading your virtual memory to compensate that. See the technical FAQ, crash to desktop section. Also make sure you set all graphic settings to low (no shadows etc).
  2. Did you insert the correct path when running the installer? The installer needs to point to the game path. By default this is: C:\Program files\[game publisher]\Emergency 4 or C:\Program files\[game publisher]\911 first responders. It should not point to the mods folder. By default this is: C:\Program files\[game publisher]\Emergency 4\Mods or C:\Program files\[game publisher]\911 first responders\Mods.
  3. You can copy the map file from this mod into the LA mod maps folder. But you will not be able to use the fire stations, police station and hospital anymore. This could cause some script problems.
  4. You should be able to upload it into the download database. But it won't be visible for other users besides yourself and the admins untill an admin checked it for virusses. You can also upload it in this thread and then I'll add and check it for you.
  5. You should remove the K-lite and nokia codecs. They interfere with the game.
  6. Well let me see... I'm sorry but without a logfile and DXDIAG file the image stays a bit blurry...
  7. Well in my game usually just one or two people run from the gunfire, it's easy to send them away again. But if you have a lot of people on the sidewalks, maybe you could try playing on the lowest graphic settings (no shadows, etc.). If that still doesn't clear up the problem you can try to deminish the number of people that appear on the paths and walk on the sidewalk. Just open the editor, load the LA MOD and load the freeplay map. Start up the paths menu (edit --> paths) and at the spawn points of the pedestrian paths, just lower the number of people that appears per minute.
  8. By default it is in German. In the first post you can find an English manual. Bennie made an English translation he posted in the download centre. But it hasn't been put back yet. It will probably be available again within a week or so.
  9. It should be digitally available via atari's website. BTW: post moved to EN general and merged with the "where can I buy EM4?" topic
  10. Are you sure it's just the normal EM4? Have you tried playing freeplay or a mission to see if you have the LA MOD units? Well the 1.8 story is just plain weird then. It should have completely deleted it of your hard drive. Maybe you can try cleaning your hard drive and bin to see if it matters.
  11. It's a mod that enables you to play the role of a German paramedic. You need to respond to emergencies and administer the right treatment and drugs to patients or else they'll die (and you won't get points to upgrade your vehicles).
  12. I hate to break it to you, but you're the one that keeps going off topic with your weird assumptions like the one below. Just a friendly word of advice: stop reading James Bond novels and start living in the real world. The KGB doesn't exist anymore, in fact it was abolished almost twenty years ago when the USSR collapsed... All off topic deleted so let's just talk about the West-Midlands mod again. [EDIT] @ B.A.R.C.: I said let's talk about the West Midlands mod again, all off topic comments will be deleted without notice![/EDIT]
  13. Check out the UV mapping tutorial. You can add colors in sketch úp I believe, but they will disappear when you put the unit in game. So ultimatly you will have to UV map the model in order to get the texture on.
  14. Did you make any changes to your game? The error seems to be either in the siren script or the basket (for the ladder truck) script. Maybe you should try redownloading those.
  15. Topic locked since you already started a topic about this in the LA MOD. You are only allowed to create on topic per problem. This one will be deleted after a few days.
  16. This is not a bug, it's just caused by the (lack of) game AI. Use police officers/fire fighters to get them back on the sidewalk. They will either stand there on the sidewalk or continue their route if there is a path nearby. BTW: asking the same question once is more then enough. Your other topic was therefor locked and deleted.
  17. If you use the shortcut you do not have to load the LA MOD via the modifications menu. You can just click the shortcut and the game will start as normal, but when you see the main menu the LA MOD is already loaded. Just click missions and you'll see the LA MOD missions standing there. About the 1.8 mod thing, you should not deinstall your mod using the modinstaller, you should have deleted all 1.8 files prior to installing the 2.0 version. But as long as you don't click it, theres no harm.
  18. That thread is locked for a reason... just read the title.
  19. Look at the windows vista section of the EM4 game FAQ to make sure your settings are correct. If they are, try redownloading the mod and reinstalling it, there are a lot of errors showing some parts of the models and the freeplay map are missing in your version. If that still doesn't work try downgrading to video drivers from 2008.
  20. If you want to contact Hoppah for asking permission to use scripts etc. you can best reply to the copyright topic. he reads that every now and then.
  21. Not if you bought a new game, all recent copies are already patched these days.
  22. And are you sure you have the UK version and not the US version of EM3? If you have them modinstaller when you installed the game without any patches, you have the US version and you do not need to install patches. Installing patches corrupts the game in that case.
  23. Check the moding FAQ, I updated it last week
