  1. You run disk 1 (says install on it). After it is finished (about 10-15 minutes) it will say put in disk 2. Put disk 2 and it will start up the game after a few popups.

Don't worry about the installing disk 2. That is a separate process and if you don't know how to do it you don't have to worry about it. On some games it speeds up loading rates, etc, but in GTA V it does the opposite and creates graphical loading errors, etc.

  2. My guess from experience is that the F(F) like you said probably means two counts of Felony charges.

For (DF) I'm guessing it refers to the police report. From what I find it looks like different services start with two letter abbreviations.

    EX:

    Abandoned Vehicle Reporting/Removal (FN-1700.0250)
    Accident Records (DF-7000.4590-150)
    Active Arrest Warrants (DF-7000.4590-020)
    Community Crime Prevention Programs (FN-1500.1550)
    Crime Investigation (FN-1300)
    General Crime Prevention Programs (FN-1500.2150)
    Law Enforcement Education/Information (FR-4500)
    Municipal Police (FL-6500)
    Noise Abatement (JD-6500.6000)
    Police Reports (DF-7000.4590-700)
    Rabies Control (JP-1500.1700-700)
    Sewer System Maintenance (TE-8920.9000-830)
    Traffic/Parking Ticket Information/Advice (FT-9100.9100)

Therefore the DF refers to Police Report/ Warrants/ Accidents. Just a guess though, its all I could find.

  3. I'm not sure what your plans are for the future of this version are, but I got a potential idea. Did you guys think about using a smaller map size, maybe 1/2 to a quarter size of the current map and just include one, maybe two stations on the map for the standard version? I'm not 100%, but it should allow more computer to play it while still giving a NYC feel, plus it would make it more of a in depth game since you have fewer units to manage. Just an idea, I know it would more than likely take a lot of work.

  4. Oh, so you're saying the explorers are the two on the EMS and three on the engine?  So you have five explorers per shift?

No, five fire fighters. Typically we will only have one explorer on per shift. We have had two before though or an explorer and a civilian rider. Our staffed station isn't very big, so anymore people would be uncomfortable. However, our new station station is almost complete and it is massive.

  5. FDNY wouldn't be all that great. Most explorers don't have gear and most of the posts aren't based out of stations but local community buildings. You are better of at a department that gets you involved in operations and training with fire personnel if you really want to be a fire fighter.

I am a Cadet for the LAFD. We get to ride out to any emergency and we even get to work at a structure fire if we get one. We throw ladders, lay supply lines, and make entry using forcible entry tools. Any of you guys get to do this kind of stuff?

That's like my department. We are on shift with crews and get to operate as part of the crew. We train, run calls, eat, sleep, workout, etc. everything with the crew. It really is awesome for upcoming recruits like myself. It really gives 99% taste of what it is about. Can do everything except go into a total IDLH or a similar situation (ie. Vertical Ventilation, etc.)
