Hi, I was just on facebook, and I forgot completely about pictures from the mock disaster I participated in.. Here they are: Airport Authority Chief RNC car, with some people led in the dirt.. And an SJRFD firefighter entering the bus The SJRFD taking off jackets as the fire was extinguished and Triage was started.. The guy in the back is ARFF, he was there for 45 minutes stood with the hose and SCBA on.. He did nothing until someone told him he could return the hose and assist with triage.. The poor ARFF guys had to stay in full gear minus SCBA for 2 hours in blazing heat.. (forgive the pun) PS, that's my leg in the bottom left hand side. One of many pictures facing the units... The two white ambulances are owned by eastern health, the red one is SJRFD, and the two ARFF trucks at St. John's Int'l ARFF... Had to crop to cut out fake injuries and faces... the girl is my friend This is the triage unit, stored at the bus station. Former city bus That's it that doesn't have fake injuries shown, or that don't have any Emergency personnel. Hey if we are all going to die, does that mean I can become warn happy? And warn for every minor infraction? After all, it'll mean either we have a baned community or a really good one when we all die, that way so when future generations look back... oh wait there won't be any... Oh well.. I think Hoppah said he will continue trying to figure it out, but it isn't a priority and he will worry about getting out a lsightly bugged version of 1.9, then see if he can fix it..

Yes, you may. Thank-you And well I know it is a good achievement, however I don't want to make a big deal out of it. I just stopped two people from committing suicide. Nothing heroic, now burning buildings, no hanging from ladders, and no air tanks involved. There are guys here that have saved many more lives than I have. Yes it's a great feeling, and I plan on making a career out of it, but once again, lets not make a big deal out of it. After all, If I get a big deal for one life, then we'll have to devote a day to congratulate every firefighter paramedic cop and everyone else on this forum for every life they have saved...

Textures Some people start a mod project and they spend their time on making models with textures in SketchUp. As everybody here knows textures made in SketchUp can't be imported into the game. So these textures are useless. Yes this does consume time, but it does kinda give an idea of how it will look. It's completely up to the author how they want to do it. Models Some people start a mod by making some SketchUp models or taking some from Google Warehouse. These models will probably never get converted and will never get in-game. Some people tell others to make them a couple of models for their mods. Well OK this is acceptable only if you have made some models on your own but when you don't know how to make a model or you don't have a mod team please do not start a thousand projects. Giving people some pics is nothing in front of giving them a complete mods such as LA mod. Sketch up models can be made to be put in game, but this may take a bit longer. Some people don't have the skills right off the bat to make full models, but when they make one in sketchup, import into Zmod, and then have to edit it more, it builds their skills. Scripting When some people start a project they are saying there will be ten missions with terrorists and terrible disasters. Could you please stop telling us lies? Making missions like these needs tons of programming and mapping experience(and sometimes a better game). Making new features for EM4 is really hard to do. You will need programming experience and patience. You need to first lay off with the accusations. It's one thing to ask a question, or point out something, it's another thing to call someone a liar.. Not every mod comes out with missions right off the bat. The creator wishes to make these missions, and the mightn't be in version 1, or even until 1.3 or longer (depending on how big the updates are) before we see the first missions. Do you think Hoppah started out with all the knowledge he has now? No. He started off with a bit and he built on that. Mapping A whole new map is not useful without new vehicles to play with. Spending your time on making a map for your mod while you don't have any models ready is not recommended. A new map is a really hard project so please start one when you have some versions of your mod released or when you have your new units ready. If there is a mod team, and there is 5 people on this team, and one of these people doesn't know how to model, or script and they are the UV mapper, then they can't do anything without the completed models.. They can start working on a map at that time. Yes I agree, you have to have your priorities straight, but if the team is still working on the mod, then it's okay to get a head start on the other things Web sites I see many people starting a mod and making a website in three or four languages without a reason. The time you spent on making these websites could be used for learning how to model or how to skin. You can make a topic here and then continue your process and please focus on making the mod and not these websites. This is a bit direct don't you think? Once again, I know this whole is probably aimed at a few groups, but this one statement seems to be aimed directly at one group. Once again, if a team want to start on another thing early, and there is someone doing nothing at the time, then sure. After all, why not? This is getting a little too personal, and some parts seem to be focused on some groups. Yes it's perfectly fine to say, shouldn't you be working on this, instead of starting a website, or you should start a few units before taking on a new map, because it's such a large project, and this isn't something you should try to take on first, start with the basics.. It's fine to give constructive criticism, but you HAVE to respect other members. Every single person here has agreed to. This means instead of saying, this is wrong, and you don't know what you are doing, try to help them, if you can't and you don't know how to, then don't try. Basically, just try to help and be nice about it, and make sure, if you make posts not to use any mod team names in it.. -NFK

Now, I don't know for sure, I have never seen this show, but seeing as it is in LA, then it may have been a CHP unit you saw. CHP does have several white units.

Haha not a problem, And saving a life isn't a big deal, it's only been 2 lives this year... Nothing amazing, I'm sure many people on this forum have saved many many more this MONTH. It's not that big of a deal

I love Canada and our simple Alphabet soup, learn MP, navy, air force, army, RCMP, CSIS, local police, and a bit of french, and you are good to go.

Hey, you'll find a few that actually fly planes, while being in them... And actually there are a lot more that don't fly... That used to make me laugh, the part of the forces taht is supposed to fly spends a lot of time on boats, and the ground, and the pilots are massivly out numbered by the non pilots lol

I wouldn't be able to do military, (not due to requirements) because I just don't have it in me to put up with the things soldiers do from killing enemies, dealing with pushy officers, and secret lives

Well this was like a welcome thing... No classes, I will never have any of them in my classes.. This was just in the hallway and such. #1, oh no, prepare for more Complaint for me, shampoo in my eyes

Well I'm really good with numbers, there was 25 of them... Each only gave me 1 dirty look, except for her 5 best friends, they each gave me 2, one when they came in, and one when they saw me later on throughout the day So no I didn't really count..

The uninstall reinstall trick doesn't work this time.. It was a known bug caused by a script.. No matter how many times you reinstalled, the script would still be there, thus the only way to solve it was to fix the script, which hoppah did do.

now I fill both stations, send a EMS supervisor out, 2 motorcycle units, 1 motor boat at the island (deluxe) 2 Patrol cars, place a CHP unit on the highway, and put a supervisor SUV at the station. I won't call anything off map after that except for tech vans, tow trucks and the occassional US&R dog for missing persons..Everything else I handle with my on map teams... Sometimes I will adjust the unit staffing manually, like for bird flu, I'll send an ambulance with 2 hazmat officers if it is by station 1..

I did that once, had nothing except the default map units, plus a tech 3 cop cars, and tow trucks as needed... Worked well, then I had a gas explosion, big one, needed all FF resources from Station 1, then there was an earthquake... Totally threw me off there

Haha, well thanks for the compliment, but even though I may be an okay writer.. not so good at the selling part, which I need before any publisher will publish my book... Not need, but it'll help, and my eBook isn't doing good at all... And the sharpshooter thing is controversial, seeing as CB is sometimes a kill factor for that excuse the pun And authors that don't tp list like steven king can expect like 15 grand or so a year per book.. That's for somewhat popular books... Not enough to keep a living
