  1. Start building a bridge first thing, ironically on most the missions you should start building the bridges first, with its slow rate you kinda need it doing it's thing while you are cleaning up the opposite side... Hopefully by the time the bridge is completed you will be done everything on the side you can access, anywhere you see an exposed injured person that is inaccessable send over a medivac to keep em alive, if there is only one in the open go ahead an medivac them. If you manage to get the bridge completed and clean up the cars fairly quick everything is smooth sailing. Just remember to keep the crane if I remember right you will need it on the other side.

  2. The FBI Tahoe is a 2007 Tahoe, one which I personally have not seen in service yet, chances are they have not gotten them yet. The vehicle you described in the link is from a Fleet Service Vehicle Dealer, they prep the vehicles for service in various places, typically not just federal agencies. That vehicle is a Chevrolet Suburban, while they are commonly used in the Federal Government agencies, there is no rule that says because one fleet dealer says they supply agencies that they all must use them. The US Gov. buys things from all over the place, while I myself have not seen a 2007-8 Tahoe, I have not seen a new Suburban yet either so I have no idea if or when they will pick them up. The FBI Tahoe in the game was done along the lines of a what if? type of deal since nobody anywhere has produced a definitive FBI truck yet that is 2007 we had to speculate at best if they used the Tahoe what it may look like. The Suburban you linked to looks more like it is a DPS or Secret Service Motorcade Detail Setup by what all it is carrying in it and it's lighting setup and equiptment loadout. Good find none the less, but unfortunately in the Federal agencies the unmarked units do not typically carry banners that say "I AM FBI" or "I AM DHS", in the end without grilling the operators chances are without some knowledge of who's where you can't tell who owns what vehicle...

  3. I wish I could, unfortunately he won't meet my conditions and give me a castle with a dungeon so I can continue my noble work.

The only non-bus prisoner transport I have seen was today after I made this post, it belongs to the LA CO Sheriff's Department (thnx to Mikesphotos for showing me the pictures of the vehicle). However, the Van in question is not going to be in 1.6, there are already enough things added at this time and the van is not exactly a critical update to add to the game yet so it may get done in a later version.

  4. The way that emergency handles lights whether or not we can totally simulate the effect given by a rotator remains to be seen, if one were willing to be excessive with the lights I am sure it probrably could follow the rotators around but then maybe 10 computers in the world could handle the lighting effect... You can, however simulate the effect given by rotators with minimal effort, I did not really even try to tamper with the lighting much I just wanted to see how the visibility was of the bar it's self and test the animation and it's script. The rest of the system would depend on your ability to apply realistic lighting to the animation which is not exactly an easy task with the RPM which they would rotate. However I suppose you could make it rather realistic if you put in alotta time.

  5. The way we have it currently setup is that when the flashing lights are on the animation for the rotators is active, when the flashing lights are out the rotators stop. This is scripted so it may be altered, but something like the traffic advisors or flashers that are marked as special lights should work fine as the script is. With regards to a video, maybe Hoppah feels like handling that end, I do not feel like trying to make a video showing off the animation of the lil rotators twirling.

  6. The only problem I have seen about it is without the camera hack you can see the bar tint and the interior of the bar but the animation is barely visible, since the LA MOD is not designed for the cam hack whether or not the animtations are worthwhile is the only area of debate... Yes you can see em if you look for them, but otherwise you probrably would not even know they were there.

See Below for Camera Hack Images:

  7. Instead of being a total smartass I think I will actually put in my thoughts on the topic of new things vs. redoing the old.

New units and vehicles serve a point if they improve the mod, if they don't there isnt much point in em but to say no more of anything is stupid, the LA MOD existing rides are fine for the most part the way they are. Very few of the vehicles are out of date to the point of being a fault to the mod. Lastly, the Models that currently exist in the game are pretty detailled as they are, if they were cubes with wheels I would say I agree they deserve to be updated. Most of those which need to be updated or phased out are having the things done to them which they require, for the most part the majority are perfectly acceptable.

  8. what the LA mod adds to the gameplay in toys it still has in necessities anyway so the water pumpers with hoses works rather well, I did that mission with 4 of them flanking the plane and a 5th to roam, then sent other vehicles to the airport terminal entrance to go deal with the internal fires, a ladder to deal with the people stuck in the plane for that aspect of the mission, there is still another task you need to do but you'll figure that part out if ya have not failled already due to it.

  9. Here is a Code3 MX 7000 Lightbar on the LAPD Slicktop for testing purposes, the rotators on the upper tier are animated and this bar has the ability to turn the animation on and off when the lights go out :1046275747_biggthumpup:

Thanks to Hoppah for the helping out with the script that makes this possible and the cursed alpha that did not cooperate with me.

  10. The FBI included in 1.6 have in essence what is plain clothes but is not really, it is a standard windbreaker that they tend to wear around on scenes... The concept of a Plainclothes cop probrably would not change anything because of the fact the game recognizes a cop as a cop, as was said previously. To change the negotiator may be possible, but in my opinion the cop still has to show his true colors in real life enevitably, you can't just run around arresting people without notifying them of who you are so it'd be cheating if it were possible to make a wolf in sheep's clothing cop. It's just my opinion I grant, I don't enjoy most of the cop missions but even I don't wanna cheat THAT bad :1046276313_Up_to_something:

  11. The theory behind animating is rather simple but the actual details are where you can and probrably will fail at, the screenshots required will hopefully make it easier to understand, unfortunately those who natively speak a language would be ideal to re-write the tutorials for each respective language since simple grammar errors may cause the whole process to be lost in translation.
