We included a plane crash in the Manhattan mod the game just repeats one or two car crash events so I only had it once or twice ever. Events like that are fun but I prefer to put them in a mission rather than freeplay because the game can load that one event everytime you play if it wants and it can become tedious
-
Unique events how? Literally every mod had hazmat calls and they're all the same based off the base game
-
That's actually not true, I've edited coronas in the mod directory and they have loaded in game just an FYI
-
As far as I'm aware with regards to looping audio of a static source (not moving) you use the code above but change the "true" to "false" as that specifies whether the audio should loop. That's the logic I went off anyway
-
Once again back to topic, on topic posts only.
-
Regardless the discussion is over all further posts will be on topic and any further debate can be taken to an alternate topic.
-
We've all said our piece now, everyone leave it and move on.
-
I'm not referencing you at all. Idk what your situation is.
I thought there was an exodus going on or something. If that isnt the case, please correct me.
I wasn't sure but just wanted to clarify because I don't know of any other mods leaving the site. But regardless the rest of my post still stands, the hostility on this place is reaching breaking point now.

Looks great, really nice to see some actually gameplay, its like everyone sighs relief when they actually see gameplay, not just another screenshots mod!
So yeah keep it up man, loving what we've seen. I also love how no matter how good a mod is Em4 loves to overtake cars backwards.

They went through it only recently because I believe one of the mods decided now was the time.
And yes, every mod that has been active for the last year is getting audited. Even mine. I have to prepare my documentation like I'm trying to prove citizenship.
This isn't about taking mods down, but rather asking them to correct the credits. Its just that some authors are too prideful to admit they're wrong and would rather remove their stuff from this site than fix the issue that was pointed out to them.
I'm not aware as to whether or not you're referencing us or not. But would just like to clarify that, especially in our case, most people don't have the facts to go off. We, for example have complied to all the required ToS updates, we've also removed a very old model back from when we were mearly a submod and played by the rules. I have moved away from the site because I wanted to, not because of pride.
I'm just grateful that when I started getting in to this, people were nice, helpful, sharing and collaborative. That's the only reason I ever got anywhere with this hobby. Now people are so concerned with calling each other thieves and liars that the community has become hostile and I'm not surprised we've hardly seen any new mods.

To clarify a lot of things I just wanted to publicly share what has happened in the past couple of days to avoid any confusion. 48 Hours ago we received a notication from NFK making us aware that an anonymous user has reported copyright violations on a large number of our models, skins and files. We spoke in depth about the allegations and began providing evidence (such as the detailed credit list) to support what we were saying.
The allegations claimed that we had knowingly stolen a large number of files from various mods, which for the most part we were able to quickly dismiss but this required a lot of proof and discussion. After this and getting in contact with Rafael we found that we had indeed used 3 models from the NYC mod, 2 of which were no longer in the mod, but regardless they had been used. This is a throw back to the days where this mod began, as a submod, using LA engines edited to be FDNY and whatever we could get together to make a mod. These were very early days in our modding careers, but it led on to several mods which have seen us deliver constant upgrades to our models and reworking our game.
With the credit threshold requiring a readme crediting all users at this point (not to specific vehicles, just general credit) we had always credited Hoppah and Mikey as their mods had both inspired and acted as a base for our work. Since this time (4 years ago) we had obviously purged all models used from other sources (besides Nnico and itchboy) as we obviously wanted the mod to be a submod.
I was not aware that our Ford ESU, that had survived from the submod right up to Manhattan Mod v3, featured parts of Mikey's ESU truck, which regardless of crediting him anyway we had not intended to use, I had been reworking the model with itchboy but was completely unaware it was still based on this model. After being made aware of it by NFK we immediately accepted that we had to remove it and would do so. But this was the only infringement, which we had, technically been showing credit for in readmes anyway.
So to summarise..
Yes we were in the wrong, however minor this is. We did not intend to breach any copyright and over the course of 4 years we lost track of a few things. But after a very very in-depth inspection into our stuff, this was the only violation and was a very minor one, we hadn't simply reskinned something and called it our own.
Due to the reaction of certain members this had been made into a way bigger deal than it in the end turned out to be, we've been made out to be full on thiefs just taking from everywhere and ruining people's experience. But to that I'd just say this is a game, we made and honest, very small, mistake. I just hope anyone with any sense can see through some of the name calling going on here.
The mod will continue but due to the current shape of the community we will be taking our work elsewhere, we'll keep any releases posted into this thread.

For the meantime and foreseeable future all mods by us will no longer be active on this site. Follow us on facebook for future updates

Ok due to this mod being subject to copyright claims by anonymous users I have been asked to provide full credit list on a unit by unit basis in accordance with updated ToS. We have always fully complied with the rules and regardless of this annoying me and seeming to be a witch hunt I've decided to publicly post this list in the interest of transparency. Below is a full detail of everything, where it came from and who was involved.

Right I think thats everything, took me well over an hour so I hope so. There can be no issue now. All itchboys works were either collaborations or public release granting us permission. Hoppah and Mikey's models are from LA granting us use. The skin used of Mikey's was a base skin from NYC to make the skinning process easier when we trying to put out many units in a limited time frame, there's practically nothing left of the original skins but if the moderators deem I will remove them all together. Nnico granted us permission through LAMA to obtain his QRA mod to salvage what he had started into the Manhattan Mod several years ago, granting us permission for those, along with some publicly released Nnico works. Bama's objects are downloaded from the downloads centre granting us permission for those. And finally the Rockstar Games buildings and Itchboy's vehicle packs are imports from other commercial games so no author issues there.
If anyone out there feels they have been left off please just contact me, I really don't want to have to go through all this again, but as I said to the best of my knowledge this is everything.

Em4 units aren't scaled I people but I scaled everything including civil up for the London project I'm working on and it took time
-
so does anyone have a fix?
because it is happening to me
I used to fix this by pressing all the directional keys on the keyboard both at once and individually really quickly and it would just snap out of it. Try that.

You need to learn to do one of the main roles in modding which is either scripting or modeling. If you can master one of these (start with simple edits) you will be able to lure people into your projects but as it stands you have no experience and no skills so no-one will make it for you. You've also advertised for a team of 9 people, none of which to make anything new just script and reskin, a simple reskin mod would require just one person to work on it. Even the biggest mods like LA only had about 3 people actually working on it.
Just some tips I hope you look into some stuff and start picking up modding this game as its fun and not too complicated.

Latest gameplay video, first fire gameplay video of Version 2. Let me know what you think of all the updates

Nice job Dyson and the others that assisted. If me and my friends like it we might use it as a series w/ your perms of course.
You have permission to do whatever you want once it's released

Are you planning on adding the Nissan Altima to the NYPD?
Nope, the units list is now final for v2. Just finishing gameplay now

Brooklyn BoF mod v2 coming soon. Photo credit goes to Obenfrankengamer taken using his custom graphic ENB.
The mod is coming along nicely lots to show in the coming weeks. I'm completely re-doing the traffic set up with the hopes of achieving redirect functions similar to the original game whilst keeping a high traffic density.
The mod has also been optimised further for lower spec being made on an Intel pc so definitely Intel friendly.
The update also features a new homicide call custom script using BMA's call out script, more to come on that soon.
There's also a new firehouse new map texture and plenty more!

I think a 3D modelling one from poly to in game would be great that's what I get asked a lot

First off just wanted to say you guys have done an incredible job, and this by far is my favorite mod. i do have one bug though im noticing quite a bit but haven't seen it reported yet. The station that has the 2 engines and the battalion chief and for some reason a civilian SUV, when i send the SUV back to HQ and put the other pump into service the other engine seems to back up and park on a slant blocking off the door to the rec room. and the engine that is now in service pulls in forward. Is there any plan to fix this or??
Yeah the reserve engine function has been removed, it caused to many minor bugs
-
I rest my case...
No. What people are saying is that you can either have just one person who knows how to actually mod this game this one project, one direction, one city. Or shared knowledge and multiple projects with different approaches cities etc. that's all, noones giving anyone grief.
