  1. Wait, now I'm confused. There's something in the corner that says 4x29, and the number on the right goes down to 00, and then it goes to 3x29. So you administer 3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1 shock, 1 dose of epi, every 30 secs, or just keep repeating that until the time of 30 secs just runs out? :gruebel:

3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1 shock, 1 dose of epi, every 30 secs, or as many of them as you can fit in before the counter reaches 00. Once you're at 1x00 the total points are summed up and the game decides if the person is reanimated or dead. The higher the point score, the more likely it is that the person will be successfully reanimated. The number before the x indicates the block you're on, the latter two how long you have left of that block.

  2. Yeah thanks, so how long should you wait before pressing the compression button again? I think I need to do 2 compressions, 1 breath, and repeat that twice, but I don't know how long I should wait before I press the compression button again... :gruebel:

3 or 4 breaths, then 6 or 8 compressions. I just click it like crazy until the counter in the lower left hand side of the screen says 8 after HDM..somthing. The time between presses doesn't matter, as long as they're registered. Thena shock and a dose of Suprarenal (Epinephrine), and Cordarex or Atropine depending on if its V-fib or asystole, and which block I'm on.

You shouldn't use suprarenal/suprarenin/epinephrine for longer than the first 3 blocks. After that you should switch to atropine. This is because epi raises the blood pressure in addition to the heart rate, while atropine doesn't affect the blood pressure. Too much epi, and you risk over doing it, giving the patient a stroke. Which kind of goes against what you're trying to do :P

    EDIT: Added some more info.

  3. Oh thanks so much! I thought you had to make 30 compressions, 15 breaths, and administer all those medicines in 30 secs. I was like, HOW DO YOU DO THIS?! But still, thanks. ;)

Hah, yeah, you barely have time for the 3 breaths and 6 compressions, and then you have to throw in a defib and administer some meds :P 4:8 breaths and compressions work as well, but I'm not sure if it's better. Revived someone with that yesterday, but got a pretty low points sum (the more points, the more likely the person will survive).

One thing I do, is to send the doctor with the ambulance on calls where he has already been alerted. If the beeper shows "RTW, NEF" he has been alerted already, and will show up outside the hospital. By just holding back the ambulance a little, and sending him with that instead of the NEF, I think you save some time on scene. To compensate for the loss of the NEF driver as a helper on the scene, you can bring one of the others in the ambulance, it can fit 4 :)

Can someone upload the updated version (with patch) it dosent work for me and I can't find it now.(tried link in first post).

Also, do you ever need to call police or fire (status 5)

See the "Download" section of this forum, and check under Small Mods for Emergency 4. I think the patch and full game should be there.

I've never had to call for fire or police, not sure what funktion they serve.

  4. I have Windows XP so I installed service pack 3. When I install the game the game didn´t launch because the Rockstar social club didn´t install so I opened the disk 1 (I have the original game) and manually installed the social club.

Finally I played, but i had to put lower graphics cause my computer worked slow. I have avast and it works fine.

I think the GTA 4 installer is a shit.

I hope this help you ;)

Yeah I have Social Club and all that crap as well. I have the original game too, or I wouldn't ask for help here :P My problem is (according to the Rockstar forums) the Visual Basics packages, or some other package that I can't remember but installed. Net frameworks or something I think.

Anyway, I installed everything I needed, tried with every version (tried starting the game after applying each patch), but to no avail. Seculauncher just won't work.

  5. Oh thanks. A few more questions: When do you use it, what is the best way to revive someone who's had a heart attack, and how to you transport away a dead person. I called teh funeral director but I couldn't get him to do anything. :gruebel:

    1. You use it when there is a risk that the patient has injured his/her neck. For example traffic accidents or falls from height.

    2. From the Starters manual: "For a successful resuscitation you will need to do more besides giving compressions and

breaths. You will need to intubate, defibrillate and give medicines to get the heart started

again. According to the guidelines for CPR a special protocol must be followed.

In game we try to bring back the sinus rhythm in blocks of 30 seconds, within these blocks a

number of treatments needs to be given. The more these ‘treatment blocks’ are successfully

completed, the higher the chance of a successful for reanimation is. But even with the best

possible treatment not every patient can be rescued.

The ratio between compressions and breaths should be 1:2. A block of 30 seconds in game

represents 5 minutes in real time. In one block you should give 3 breaths, 6 compressions, 1

defibrillation and 1 injection of Suprarenal. In case of ventricle fibrillation (V-fib) a one time

injection of Cordarex in the second block is also very helpful. In case of an asystole you

should give atropine after the third suprarenal injection."

    3. First you have to call him using 5 on the radio (then find him in the list in the lower left corner I think). You then have to click on the map where you want him to drive. Once he arrives, I think you might have to get him out of the car, the normal way you get people out of cars in Emergency. Then while having the person with the stretcher with the body on it selected, simply click on the funeral director. You have to fill out the same form as you do in the hospital.

  6. Hmm, gotta give this game a try. When it came out, I didn't have a decent computer. Now, however, I do! :D

Though I can't say I'm a huge fan of RTS games. I'm more the turn based strategy, real time battles type of guy, like the Total War series.

  7. Me too I can´t play. I think I need Windows Service pack 3, do you have it?

Bazz, your videos are good :12:

I have Win7, and I update it all the time, so.

Tried getting it to work again a while back. The only thing I accomplished was to break avast! Antivirus. I didn't notice, so I was without working AV for quite some time :P I aparently deleted som Visual Basics packages it needed when trying to find the VB package GTA IV needed.

Bah. This game has been portet extremely poorly.

Aitor, how did you get it to work in the end?

  8. No I mean palk next to plase where pulse saw.

You mean the life bar? The orange one means the patients heart has stopped, and he needs to be shocked back to life :P Once it runs out, the patient is dead. Once it's filled up the patients heart is beating again, and the bar turns red. Only the emergency doctor can revive a patient (the ones found under menu 4). Normal ambulance personnel can not do this. If you hold down left shift when sending an ambulance, you automaticly send a doctor as well. Hope that helps!

  9. How can i handle hazmat situations?

    I send the dekon-p truck ..

But i dont know how to uncontaminate the peoples..!

There is a special function for that. Find the button in the Fire Department menu that says somthing like "Local formation". Don't remember exactly what it says, but it's something with local. Click that until the Hazmat symbol comes up, and the tooltip reads somthing like "Call Hazmat formation". Ones that's there, just click on the map. You'll get some vehicles from the Winterberg station, and the DEKON-P, which can rig up a decon tent. The GW-Mess van from Winterberg is really just for various measuring gear, extra Hazmat suits and extra SCBA-gear.

  10. Just to add to what Alex has said, as for question 1, hydrants can only supply a certain amount of water. Once that limit has been reached, connected vehicles will start running dry. For major incidents you shouldn't rely on a single hydrant for your water supply.

As for question 2, most vehicles can place a portable pump. Can be handy for those hard to reach spots, though I've never really had the need for them. The TSF class vehicles do not have an on-board pump or water supply, so you have to use the portable pump. These come from the smaller fire departments. The TSF-W however does have a on-board pump and water supply, and can be used like the larger ones.

As for question 3, C-hoses are larger than B-hoses, and thus carry more water.

  11. Hi guys,

I don't know if it is a bug or other thing but i think that in other versions when i used the "Start Triage" button of the doctor on a patient then if i click on the patient i could know how is him by the color (green, yellow, red, etc); know i can't do that, it simple doesn't give me anything when i do that (using the newest version 7.5 Artico).

The commands that the doctor can do (use stethoscope, basic check, etc) are really "connected" to the patient injury type like in RTS or not?

Someone can translate this section of the manual? It is related with the use of keys (left-shift, right shift, etc): http://i52.tinypic.com/zsnyau.png

Another thing, the handbook is not translated to English right?

Which doctor are you using to start the triage? A normal emergency doctor or the LNA (the ones that comes with the mass casualty unit)?

The commands for the doctor like basic check etc. are used if you enable the superdoc mode. I've never used this myself, so I can't give you any more info on it I'm affraid.

    Translation:

    Left Ctrl

Firedepartement: Alert units by beeper and siren

EMS: Redirect vehicle to different task

    Right Ctrl

Firedeparment: NOTE: Here the document is outdated, as it refers to a vehicle that is no longer in the game. Now the button is used to call a single vehicle for technical rescues, IE people trapped in a car.

EMS: Ends current task for selected vehicle and returns it to base. (Not sure if this is still in use TBH)

    Left shift

Firedepartment: Sends a fire fighting group, IE you get an ambulance, a police car and the GW-Mess in addition to the regular ones.

EMS: When having an ambulance selected, clicking when holding down this button will send the nearest availavle emergency doctor with it.

    Right shift

Firedepartment: Send a single vehicle from selected department.

EMS: Ambulance responds without lights and sirens.

NOTE: I'm not 100% sure if these are all still in use, and if the functions are still connected to the same buttons. I know I use some them all the time, but I can't quite remember which button I use :P

As for the handbook, that is being translated, but I'm currently the only one doing it, and I'm pretty busy at the university these days.
