  1. You can see in the pictures, the cars have some doors open.

Does someone know how you can do that within the game?

Or how to change your view, so you can look closer to a vehicle and more horizontal??

Some of those pictures have been made in the editor. Most of them actually. So they're staged.

    Hej guys!

firstly i want to say that this is indeed an awesome mod!

but i have a question for you guys.

what kind of missions do you got?

    i got

    - drunken person

    - vehicle crash! (biggest crash was 2 cars, 3 injuries)

    - fire (small)

    - automatic fire alarm

    - strucure fire

    - terrorist attack: some kind of chemical can, around 10-20 ppl got affected)

    - missing child

    - homicide

    - psycal rescue

Normally these are just small incidents. do you get missions with big explosions or something like that? or car crashes with more vehicles?

    greets

I just had a "Fire (small)" spread to the entire wooded area north of the central street. Had 7 or 8 LHFs and a TLF fighting it. That's the biggest fire incident I've had.

  2. Yup, we need EMTs and Paramedics. Mostly Paramedics I'd say. You'll receive training of course, and you'll probably be paired with an experienced partner (I assume, NFK?). I've got a few good links about prehospital treatment if anybody wants them.

  3. Use the redirect traffic command. Place the first waypoint where you want the redirection to start, IE in front of the first vehicle. Then place waypoints where you want the traffic to go. Place end waypoint by holding down shift and clicking. You place waypoints by right clicking on the ground where you want it.

  4. No helis yet I believe. There are two that service Berlin, Christoph 32 from ADAC, and Christoph Berlin which is run by HDM-Luftrettung and ASB. The first is a RTH, the second is a ITH. The ITHs have more equipment than the RTHs, though both are manned by doctors.

They had some issues with the number of units in game causing engine errors (according to the tweeter page). Though that seems to be hardware related. If you have a newer CPU, preferably multicore, the errors do not occur. I think they may have cut down the unit list to accommodate people with older computers.

  5. A couple of tips I just thought I'd post.

For the animal in traffic, oil spills, animal attack: Use the KLEF (fire dept. van). The firefighters can "arrest" the dog, but only the KLEF can transport them away. You can do this for both animal attack and animal in traffic. If you shoot the dog, you need firefighters to remove the corps before the mission is completed.

For automatic firealarms, you need a ELW (command car) in addition to whichever other vehicles you need to put out the fire. Only the guy in the yellow vest can reset the alarm.

For traffic accidents, don't forget to clean up the oil.

The redirect command can be a bit tricky, but I've found that if you send the traffic to the next intersection, it works better for some reason. Might be coincidence though. On the "main street" in the middle of the map I redirect the traffic around the scene, not into the opposite lane.

In the missing child case, the kid is close to one of the trees. You don't need dogs (nor do you have them) to search for it. Just have a paramedic treat and transport.

For the homicide, you need the crime scene technicians to check the body. After they've done that, one of the people close to the scene will be revealed as the killer, IE draw a gun :P Sometimes it can be difficult to spot him/her, other times he/she starts shooting at the crime scene people. I always call a patrol car to the scene when I send the crime scene techs. If the body is in the water, use the swift water rescue car found on the police page. It's the only one in the right most row.

    EDIT:

To clean up the hose connector, you need to hold down Shift. That will give you the "Pick up" command :)

That's all I can think of atm.

    EDIT-2:

Thanks for a great mod guys! The GUI is just amazing, the incidents are cool, models are sweet...oh, and the new SoSi logic is nice! Don't know how many have noticed, but at least the off map vehicles only switch the siren on when going through an intersection. Very realistic! One thing I'd like though, if it's possible, is for the sirens to turn on when they catch up to, and pass, a slower vehicle. I think the old one did that?

Will be get to use the BW-NAW, and Christoph 31 and Christoph Berlin in the future? :D Especially the BW-NAW, I think that looks so cool :P

  6. Okay, let's go through this step by step:

    1. Download the setup.

    2. Run the setup, you do NOT need to install this in your Emergency / 911 game folder, just let it install where it wants to.

    3. Once that's done, run the "ERS starten" program. You find this either on your desktop, start menu or under C:/program files/ERS Berlin. A prompt will open, where you can select either ERS Berlin, or regular Emergency 4. It will tell you that the mod hasn't been downloaded yet, and ask you if you want to download it.

    4. Wait for the download to finish.

5a. If you're running EM4, you can now click "Start Game" in the same prompt used to download it.

5b: If you're using 911: FR, it seems that this won't work. Start the game the normal way, then go to "Mods" and activate it like any other mod.

    Hope that helps!

  7. They just never seem to be able to fix the person in pool bug. On the German part of their forum they've suggested anything from arresting him to trying to have the medics put him on a stretcher. Non of it has worked for me so far, only thing I can do is triage him :/ And the only way I've been able to end the mission is to wait for him to die, then have the doctor triage him so that he puts the tarp over him, then he's close enough to the edge for the coroner to pick him out of the water.

  8. Hi !

I have a small problem : In the hotel (in the center of the map), you can't get in the room in the left (when you are in front of the entrance).

So when there is a fire with injured people in this room, you can pick up the victims.

    Any solution ?

    Thanks

I talked to a friend of mine the other day, and he had the solution to this. The only thing you need to do is equip a fireman with an axe, then select the "Use axe" command from the menu. It won't pop up by itself like on normal door :)

  9. Hi sorry if someone else has said this but i have downloaded the winterberg mod and update, but when I go on the mod installer it sais "this mod is not valid" :1046276372_bawling:

Can't say I've heard about that error before, no.

So, you've downloaded and installed the mod file, correct? So that there is a Winterberg Update file on the mod directory inside the EM4 directory?

At which point in the update process does this message pop up?
