And I just had a downer If you get a victim with amputations, bring along the amputated limbs, or you'll get a crappy grade even if you do all the other things right.
-
Well is there a way to limit the amount that can be dispatched at a time?
The way I read it, it's an issue with how many units you can actually have in the game, not the ammount of units on a scene. The ERS team would like to have more unique units, but the game won't allow it.

Had a good moment in this mod yesterday. I've been reading quite alot about emergency medicine, both pre-hospital and ER care (for the ERT RPG). Finally got some use for that So here is a little tip.
Had a car crash victim that was pretty badly injured and unconcious. I did the normal thing, IE admister oxygen, get IV access and start saline, bandage, imobilize, move to ambulance, call helicopter. While I'm waiting for the helicopter I'm looking at the victims vitals, and notice suddenly that the pulse Ox is dropping, and pretty quickly at that, despite being on oxygen (Had dropped from the mid/high 50s to low 40s in the short time it took to complete treatment). I suddenly remember that you can intubate in this mod, so I do, and get the gratifying "correct" sound (and actually remembered to click the ambu bag once to start the manual ventilation -_-). Lo and behold, the O2 sat starts rising I realized I must have missed this quite a few times, I've had a few car crash victims code on me before the helo arrives, and failed to bring them back.
So the moral of the story: Know what to look for in in the vitals 100 O2 sat is good, dropping sat despite oxygen supply is bad, very bad.

It takes a few minutes before there is any movement in the progress bar, at least the first time you play after installing or updating.

Hmm, I remember having the same problem once, with a fire. I think it sort of solved itself, either the people outside sprayed it for long enough, or the guy I sent in with an extinguisher managed to spray through the wall. For people lying injured in there...I don't really know, I've never had that. You could try just ordering the doctor to treat him, see if he passes through the wall.
-
Walked right into that one xD
But slightly back on topic though, can you use the editor to change how fast things burn once they catch fire? For example how long it takes for cars to explode? And can you set a general rule for that, or do you have to edit it for every vehicle?
-
i have no idea, play with it and see what comes out of it
Hahahaha, I'm so putting that in my signature! xD
-
The problem seems to be that EM4 can only handle a limited amount of prototypes loaded at the same time.
In ERS we pushed it to the limit - so sometimes when you play long enough and call too many units the game crashes :-(.
Ugh, not another engine imposed limit...that's what killed the Wuppertal mod >:-(
-
Isn't it possible to open it with an axe?
-
Do you have the latest update? I know marco did some work on the script for that.
-
Uhm, let's see if I've understood you correctly. You are asking if you can supply the fire engine from open water, such as a river or a lake? I'm pretty sure you can, think I've seen it in a youtube movie once.
-
Huh, strange. The cursor should change to the "can not click" one, the red circle with a line through. Alternatively just right click it while having the FF selected, without clicking the grey buttons.
-
You don't pick it up. Read the manual You just pick up a hose, connect it to the engine, go to where you want the wye (or in this case the 3-way splitter/distributor), open the equipment room (the top grey button on the right), and select it. The firefighter will then deploy it.

He didn't say, I just read the twitter post.
-
Just take the files from that folder, and paste them in the main Wegberg folder. It's just like it unzipped them.
-
Yeah...but he also says that there may not be a workaround for some strange assignment error in the engine :/

And here it is, the Wegberg English Manual!
Original manual and pictures by the Wegberg Team.

Enjoy!

I have been working with Superstar on a translation, and it should be done very soon, tomorrow or the day after
Would people here be interested in an English manual to go with the translation?
-
You find it here: http://forum.winterberg-mod.com/portal_module.php?module=67
You need to register to download.

it didnt even load for me crashed to desktop once it was about to begin endless
That's because you're not supposed to play Endless The game is mission 1 in the campaign, just like the RTS mod
-
thanks. i think for now ill just leave them in the trucks, lol. earn them up some overtimes.
GREAT MOD. and for me it doesnt matter that its all in german, ill figure it out. and there is a english translation comming. keep up the good work
Too bad they don't get paid, it's a volunteer department If you still have the guy in red available, he has the "Stop civilians" button I think, so he can shoo them outside If not use firefighters to escort them out. A bit fidly, but it works for now.
I think I found the reason for alot of the BTDs/CTDs. There is something wrong with the siren script for the TLF. It doesn't come on when I click the siren button, when I click it many times the game crashes, and when the TLF arrives on scene and is supposed to turn of the siren automaticly, the games crashes.
The error messages says something about mTestSir, or mSirTest or something like that. And something about object not beeing in current scope.

Happened to me twice. Once with a whole group of people, once with a single man while the rest left. It's a bug.

I got this one event...I forget what it was...like Burning KFZ or something, and I couldn't find where it was! No dot on the map and the street wasn't on the GPS...
Was probably a specific location, like the gas station (tankstelle), or something along those lines. Just look for the red dot on the map.
Vehicles:
ELW: Battalion commanders vehicle
LF: Fire engine w. 8 fire fighters
TLF: Fire engine with larger water tank and 5 fire fighters
DLK: Ladder truck
RW: Rescue vehicle with shares and other rescue gear
GW-N / GW-Nachschub: Supply truck
MTF: Crew transporter, to get additional units to the scene

So when will this be released?
I kid, I kid! Don't ban me. <_<
Can't believe I didn't check this thread out before The pics look great, nice work
As for the standpipes (thanks for posting that btw e34p, didn't know what they were called and I'm trying to translate a mod where they're used), the Wegberg mod which was just released uses them, and I think I've seen them before somewhere, so it's definitely is possible. Though more of a long term thing for a future release.
Again, nice work so far, looking forward to trying it out

I use the normal speed as well. And I've JUST started getting A grade on some of them, I'm still getting a lot of Bs. http://emedicine.medscape.com/ is pretty decent, though that's more for ER care than pre-hospital treatment. Wikipedia has quite decent articles, but you have to know what you're looking for.
As for videos, I could do that, but there are so many different missions. I've had this mod for I don't know how long, and this was the first time I had someone with amputations! The Cardio 5 calls are the worst to any sort of guide to, because here you can get anything from someone with high blood pressure sitting on a bench waiting, who only needs to be put on oxygen and transported, to people with seizures due to hypoglycemia, to cardiac arrest.
I don't really play this mod that much. I switch mod when I get tired of the other ones. Some days I play the Florian Hamburg mod, some days Winterberg or Wegberg, and LA mod on rare occasions.
