aerial ladder to a quint or quad

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if you can add hose connections to the ladder truck and any thing else that has to be done to make it a quad or quint. Also are you limited to 4 hose connection or can you have more

You can add them but not sure they will work, although the concept interests me. I believe you would have to script these changes, and i havent checked to see just how hard that would be.

As for hose connections, with the LA Mod you are limited to 4 hose connections. Any more will cause a crash I believe.

What about scripting the truck sprayer than adding it onto a pumper truck

I'm not an expert, by any means, but, I believe the problem is the type of vehicle (FF's RW, Police StW, etc.). I believe you can't have an aerial ladder (FF's DLK?) mixed with a pumper (FF's WB?). I'm pretty sure thats the issue...

If I recall correctly, Hoppah or Mikey once said it's possible, it just has to be scripted. I dont believe LA Uses quints. Maybe in the county but not city. Anyways the script would pretty much have to combine 2 vehicle types.

LAFD quint 187 :P

If the vehicle existed, the user could always choose whether or not to have it as an option. So, for the purests who are deadset on solely haven't LA vehicles, maybe they wouldn't make it available. For me, who's just looking for realistic American vehicles, I'd welcome the unit. It would have more versatility for me than the current ladders.
