Newfoundking
I said Tokyo, mainly because I seen that you made it. So I figured it might be tokyo, seeing with the Tokyo mod, and such, and what purpose would having it be FDNY or the paris FD have for anything.. I took a educated guess, and I was right
Ami89E1234
woulda guessed China cause they got 1.3 billion people and since they have an army of over 237 million troops i figure theyd have overly large fire departments too

Commander Rasseru
Shitty site they got ( LOL)But yes, they are a very large based department, and its overwhelming to see their resources. That because he showing the link to the English page. The Japanese website of it is better looking. http://www.tfd.metro.tokyo.jpHe shown other website because it in English?Yet a great Fire Department don't need a cool looking website to their jobs. This website is the most useful. http://www.tfd.metro.tokyo.jp/ts/sa/index.html

pyrothijs
Ah yes, the bane of forums.Someone post the tutorial on making polls. :facepalm:I really don't see why anybody shouldn't be allowed to make a poll. Nor is there a need to suggest a tutorial about that subject is nescessary. I thnik most members don't need any help with that.

I thnik most members don't need any help with that. i think that he is talking about the way the poll is made, it is possible to tick every single answer, but only 1 answer is correct so the poll should only have allowed 1 box to be ticked, and not all of them

aussie firie
We always used to say we were, with 70,000 volunteers. But we are a state service. This came from their website...There are 2,100 rural fire brigades in NSW made up of just over 70,000 volunteers who provide emergency services to over 95 percent of NSW (2005-2006 Annual Report figures.) (http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/dsp_content.cfm?cat_id=1245) i couldn't find the numbers on tokyo though

(http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/dsp_content.cfm?cat_id=1245) i couldn't find the numbers on tokyo thoughGrade and ranking would be in two or three groups.Main Group is know as the Fire Department's Main Forces and Organization PowerSub Group is seen as support only. Because the are rarely call into service and limited in areas of service.------(Main Group)Full-time FirefighterPart-Time FirefighterBudgetApparatusFleet SizeStationsHQ CommandsAdministration Layoutetc. (Sub Group)Volunteers Firefighter (Not seen part of the Main Department)Civilian Firefighter with Official Training Program (Most times not seen as part of the department)Funding by...SupportAny Equipment they have.etc.------Third Group has to be Combine with Main Group or Sub Group. Not both and can least be only at one of the Levels. (Government Levels) Township/LocalCity by sizeCountry/PrefectureStateNation------So you are comparing a Volunteers State Services to an....Metropolitan City type with a Full-time Staff Department.Your comparing of the Two service are not fair at all levels.Plus the Rural Fire Services are always big because of combining many departments as one.You see what my point is?If I was allow to combine Japan's Departments to the area size of New South Wales?More likely Japan would have more Full-time and plus Volunteer Fire fighters.Numbers of Volunteers in a Fire service means they only have more man-power. Plus N.S.W. don't say if they are fire fighters or a person who sits at a desk all day. The Tokyo Fire Department's 2008 Fire Service Review has more data facts to know others things.http://www.tfd.metro.tokyo.jp/ts/sa/index.html
aussie firie
I see your point. The 70,000 inculdes comm's officers, catering, firies, etc. We don't have to many paid people. But all firefighters are volunteers.
