Kent (UK) Mod (Dev Release)

Recommended Posts

Yeah, they're the TFL/BTP engines. They're not actually run by BTP for their use as such; TFL use them to respond to situations such as rail obstructions and specialist emergencies in the underground, which require an urgent response, so the BTP drive them. This is opposed to fire engines, which are not specialised for the underground and would take up valuable LFB time

What happened? Search his name up and it's his latest video. I think the point is more that nothing did happen as he didn't understand anything and what he did do was like: armed robbery, let's send retained fire crew and beat bobbies. He just needs work on the whole realism idea.

The vivaro looks decent, not my favourite base model but, as you said (much) earlier, that's life.

Again, it's awesome to see you are still bringing new stuff out so often!

Will riot shields, new armed officers and police medics, as well as the Vauxhall all be ready for next update and will the riot script accompany them? Thanks again! :)

Nice info hands up! Didn't know about that

Isn't he from the US? Lol the uneducated swine I'm kidding, yeah I haven't seen any of his videos, but I prefer using the roleplay/realism when playing the game. I can't understand why people play it just to rush through the events.

i like role playing them, thats why the kent mod has all those different positions for firecrews and hart :)

lol, yeah I like to role play as its a bit boring other wise.

That's what I thought Scotty, just wondered if it would take more work to get them in. What about the riot script, did you get it or still waiting? :)

Still waiting on a response I'm afraid.

I may sound a bit of a noob but when Scotty releases a update do I delete the old Kent mod version and reinstall or is there a folder you put the update in?

You have to delete old versions and install new because I don't only add/change things but I also remove things so if those aren't removed it can interfere with other bits (As proved when somebody installed the last update wrong). :)

BTP Ford Focus Estate IRV

-----------------

One thing I added to this vehicle (Not visible in the screenshots above but definitely in-game) is a reflective tape look to the Battenburg. Would love to hear your opinions on this so I know whether I should add it to all the other vehicles or not.

Why in Kent do they put numbers on the roof? They don't in my county? But nice focus

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"Aerial roof markings are symbols, letters or numbers on the roof of selected police vehiclesfire enginesambulancescoast guard vehicles, cash in transit vans, buses and boats to enable aircraft and/or CCTV to identify them. These markings can be used to identify a specific vehicle, vehicle type or agency. The markings, depending on the vehicle, or information required, may also be displayed on the bonnetboot, or other areas of the vehicle visible from the air." - Wikipedia

---

Kent do not use these markings on a lot of vehicles, mainly traffic and armed response. The vehicles above with white writing and black boxes are not Kent but BTP (British Transport Police).

Looks great!

About the reflection, it sounds absolutely awesome, but I would want to see it personally or in a video first as I think that could easily be a bit over the top and blind you. Could you give us a video? :) thanks

I got kind of angry saying like why do u need so much police! And then he sent the public order vans to HQ I was like wtf. I mean if you don't understand an amazing mod and then put it down because your an ignorant bastard then don't play the mod!

All I'm saying is that Scottys mod is absaloutely spectacular and TACRfan and if u don't know how to play UK appliances then one don't make a video and two criticise it!

Great job tho!

That was a long rant :/

To accompany the rant, scotty, I was wondering, as my father and grandfather are both cat 2 driver trained police officers, is there anyway you can change the speed the veichle drives at dependant on the police officer inside say a cat 3 was normal speed, cat 2 was faster and cat one then would only be traffic units such as BMW 330d and Volvo V70 and X5

It's not an actual reflection but the hexagon looking texture that is part of reflective tape (Like below and in the third picture from my post) :)

class%202%20yellow.jpg

^ The same type of material used for the markings (Battenburg, Jam Sandwich, Chevrons etc) on Police Vehicles.

Interesting idea, I'll definitely consider this as I was hoping to add the General Purpose patrol car used by Kent Police which an Officer told me can use the blue lights as a warning at a scene or to pull over vehicles (As the drivers of these vehicles [Like the officer I was talking to] normally only have a basic driving ticket). So this would be good so you don't get these kind of vehicles speed off or have a normal patrol vehicle go faster then you would on the motorway.

will the BTP units have different sirens?

Some use Premier Hazard sirens as opposed to Whelen so, yes :)

im sure you would be very interested to know about my grandfather scotty

On his time as a police officer he made it to chief superintendent. And he later went on to be the supervisor in South Wales hq for the m4 motorway. He was given an unmarked jaguar! I was amazed !

But yeah I would love to see the bmw being driven by cat one drivers

Wow!

I was told a story by one of the Watch Managers at my local station. For their Officer Vehicles/Response Cars the Station Managers used to get a certain amount of money to buy a car and get it fitted out with all the Emergency Lighting and siren equipment and the old station manager at my local used to buy Jags and other flashy cars and get them kitted up - Much to the amusement of the firefighters but "not a very good public image" apparently :D

Whether it's connected or not Kent scrapped that and now just use Marked Officer vehicles haha.
