  1. Early look at the texture of Evans Center 2 using Itchboy's Sutphen Cab. Scrapped the original rear of the engine so I can do it more efficiently than before.
  2. The shadows in the corner are not due to the UVs or texturing. In Blender when you do a cycles render it requires a "light" and "camera" to be placed in the file. This causes there to be actual light and shadows dependent on where those are placed. I completed the UV and placed the model in game with the texture in .dds form but it still shows as an untextured model so I may go through with Zm2 to see if I can solve that problem. And if you do need some help send a PM and I'll give you a hand with that. Also, here is the finished model of the station with a different interior wall texture than the exterior.
  3. I'm not keeping the walls thin. That was the easiest way for me to do the UV (Like I said, not very good at doing them). What I'm going to be doing is now adding basically another 4 walls inside and connecting them together on the top. So that it appears like there are thicker walls when its really two different ones.
  4. Just an early look at one of the stations that will be on map. This is only the exterior of the building where EC Engine 4 and EC 7-1 will be stationed. If there is anybody who is willing to lend a hand with UV mapping it would be appreciated heavily as this took me a good 3 hours to figure out all the way.
  5. Those textures are amazing. And I'd say forget about the heal script for the time being. If down the line you eventually want to try adding it so be it, but it's not a necessary thing so why go through the aggravation and difficulty.
  6. Most likely have to set up the turnto points to be used with a one gate rather that for a two gate entrance.
  7. Okay update. Finally figured out my computer and am getting back into this mod. Decided I'll start with something simple due to school going again and am starting to create a new map of the hometown. Very limited progress on the so far but this post is mostly to give an idea of what this mod will be like. Evans is a very Rural area so much of the map will be woods and residential homes. Green lines show roughly where roads will be and the yellow area are where homes will be placed. The two red circles show where the 2 fire stations will be on this map, only a total of about 9 fire units on map, 2 engines, one ladder, two EMT-B ambulances, one utility unit, one heavy rescue, and 2 chiefs cars with potentially some fire police units and volunteer POVs. The blue circle is where the police station and AMR station will be placed. Here there will be 2 paramedic level AMR ambulances and 4 police cars stationed. Most likely in the bottom left of the map I will place a hospital, even though there is actually no hospital in this town. A couple different buildings on map will be a high school with football field around the orange circle and there will be a car dealership where the purple circle is. If anyone has suggestions regarding this map or mod in general let me know and I will give it some thought and get back it you.
  8. We have a combination of them all. Theres enough hydrants around that we typically will only call a tanker when it's a brush fire or when there's a hydrant failure. Our company SOP is the first engine goes straight in and will start fire attack and the second due lays in a supply line and supplies the first in engine.
  9. Personally I'd do one at a time. That just helps my brain think it through better and just focus on that one part first.
  10. Since this will be missionscript ran, maybe look at something like Helping Peter to start. Where there isn't as much as something like RTS but a basis to start with.
  11. Generally in my area we do not really have a way to deal with escaped large animals. Sometimes the state DEC officers or animal control through the town will hold the animal until the owner arrives as they usually have a trailer to move their own animals. Maybe you could make the Montana FWP truck be able to tow a trailer than the animal can be put into.
  12. I would personally compare it more towards Wegberg mod. Both are more in depth than other mods out there currently and specifically they both have SCBA levels and different scripts than you can get in free play generally as they are mission based.
  13. Older GMC cab by the looks of the hood?
  14. I mean I suppose that does qualify as a roof ladder lol
  15. Generally 20ft or 24 ft extension will get you up a 2 floor residential. Most companies will carry one of either length on an engine plus a roof ladder. However for the way the map you have is a rig with a 20' or 24' should work perfectly.
  16. Just posting an update for anybody following this mod, I'm still working on this when possible and have been messing with trying to model my company's new Engine 4. However my computer's fan is basically shot so I'm using it as little as possible until my new one comes in so I don't burn up the hard drive. Hopefully, fingers crossed, I will have a lot of progress to show soon.
  17. Will the Dillon Chief be a POV like many volunteer companies have or will it be a fire department vehicle more along the lines of what the original Montana mod had?
  18. The GMC Sierra should probably be a POV. In rural areas most volunteers that I've seen will have SUVs or pickup trucks.
  19. Just so people are aware as to how to UV map in Blender I feel stupid because of how easy it is. The easiest way is to open a separate viewport and to set that port as "UV/Image Editor." Next in the main viewport with the model go into edit mode and select all (standard key is A) next you will either click the tab that says "Shadings/UVs" or by pressing the "U" key. The easiest step is to press the "Smart UV Mapping Project" and to add at the least 0.09 Island margin. Lastly just press ok in that popup box and in that UV mapping viewport will be the UV map of the model.
  20. Okay I have a question for anyone following this mod on what unit of these they would like to see. I would make a poll however I do not know how to do this. Would everyone prefer to see the old Angola 6 which was just taken out of service or the new Angola 6 which was just put in service? Reply to this whichever your choice is. Top is the new ladder and bottom is the old ladder obviously. http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/monthly_2019_02/5c71e6ee1e21e_Angola6New.jpg.4eeec9b996f68166d0fd0153b6453a78.jpg http://www.emergency-planet.com/uploads/monthly_2019_02/5c71e6ef437de_Angola6Old.thumb.jpg.ef904872385ec927a70e8e245d63d5be.jpg
  21. Yeah I realized that afterwords. What confused me was two days ago I exported a model just fine without having to check textures. Not sure why all of a sudden it stopped having an "automatic texture" or something but who knows. Thank you very much
