  1. I love your reskins, they're very well detailed. However, as a helpful outside comment, I believe FHP uses all blue lights. I didn't catch it until I saw your slicktop reskin with the red mirror light.
  2. I send my dispatch calls in a long and winding way, compared to you guys, but I think it fits a bit more realistically. 1. 1 BLS engine and PD to control the scene, then I send in a task force (Light force plus another engine) and have Hazmat rolling just in case. 2. PD first to clear the scene, with USAR close behind. 3. BLS engine and PD as control, with light force standing by. 4. unmarked CV as a SWAT response unit. If I need anything more, I call in the SWAT Heavy Rescue Truck. I occasionally get a few losses this way, considering how long it takes to staff everything properly, but I prefer having my incidents assessed first. Excepting gas explosion. That gets all ALS, BLS, Light Force, and either more ALS, BLS, or Tenders sent in as needed.
  3. I believe an older version of the LA Mod actually had it set up like that, back when the Light Equipment Truck was still around. Perhaps you can import the freeplay files from that version... and tweak the vehicle lists to keep the new ones.
  4. Yes, LACoFD unit is the Heavy Equipment Squad. It gets misstated sometimes because it replaced the light equipment vehicle from the first few releases.
  5. I have 911: First Responders, and the suggestion worked for me. Here's a step-by-step: 1: Right click your EM4.exe file. 2: New-Shortcut, or Create Shortcut 3: On your new shortcut, right click properties. 4: The Target: section should say this: "C:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Em4.exe" 5: Change this to: "C:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Em4.exe" -editor That's all I did, and it works just fine. Don't forget to rename your short cut!
  6. @Mikey: I love the DTS. It's very well done. @Hoppah: The script sounds awesome. You guys are amazing, even outdoing yourselves. I know that script was brought up a long time ago, before any of us thought it would be possible. And you did it. Congratulations on such an amazing mod, and keep up the good work, guys. You make the game thousands of times more fun for all of us. ~Novius
  7. Hey Hoppah, while you're at it, why not just expand the map and do the entire U.S., or even the entire planet. It can't be that hard. Seriously, guys. How many times did he tell you that a second station was too much effort and pointless, but you whined so much (Not everyone, mind) until he broke down and made it. Enjoy the fact that you have what in my opinion is one of the most spectacular item ever placed on a computer, ever. Take another look at the mod, sit back, and stare at the detail, ponder the countless hours of effort, and the fact that despite all the posts where people are complaining about this and that and asking for the same thing a thousand times, he still works on the mod. Thank you for what you've done, Hoppah, and keep up the amazing work.
  8. you're right. I could have found one somewhere else, but it looks so good, I couldn't resist. Let's see what you've got next, sir. Novius
  9. :1046275142_sniper: Dude! you gotta get one right to put one up! Anyways, Here's mine:
  10. I third this. I have played so many mods, I can't begin to count. I think Winterberg and LA are pretty close in terms of which mod is the "best". As much as I have to say how well both mods are done, Hoppah is half a world away from LA, and the look of the mod is amazing, even without the painful scripting added to make the game 1000% of what most of us could pull off in years! Cheers, Hoppah, you are a king among men. I'm sure I can speak for us all to simply say thank you for all you've done, and we all eagerly await seeing those genius ideas in your head!
  11. In Game... Slicktop Crown Vic, Charger, Camaro IRL Slicktop CHP, all the motor carrier units i.e. Chevy 1500 pickup, unmarked Chevy Tahoe SUV
  12. Welcome to the forums! Hey man, don't take this the wrong way but please edit/remove your post. it has already been stated that hoppah will NOT add a second station, the coding element is just way too time consuming. Also, please do not type all caps. it portrays yelling, and is offensive to everyone. plus, it is against forum rules. Thanks, and have fun! Novius
  13. ZOMG THIS IS THE BEST MOD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Hey Mike: Am I correct that unmarked/slicktops use blue/yellow flashing facing the rear? I've seen it that way in quite a few places, and I see that Hoppah noticed them on the SEB Rescue Trucks. I'm not sure if it's required, like the CA Steady Burn Law, but I've seen it that way on movies like "SWAT" and "Dirty". Thanks for the great info! Novius EDIT: I've found some pics of slicktop CHP Units that have red & Blue over a treaffic advisor, but I'm sure I've seen blue & Yellows, too (Check the back of the bomb squad van on policecarsite.) This pic is not mine VV Pic of CHP Slicktop Rear

    Jobs n Stories

I have a story. I'm a security supervisor in michigan, and we have a furniture company that annually puts up tents with furniture on sale inside. I was supervising 9 different stores within a 50 mile radius. So I get a phone call from the (Name removed) police department about 30 miles away saying I need to report to one of my stores IMMEDIATELY. As I get off the highway, I see a police cruiser with the officer eyeing me and my uniform, and likely the amber bubble light on my roof (it wasn't lit up at the time). He pulls ahead of me and all the sudden there's another cop behind me. I get a phone call: "This is Lieutenant (name removed) with the (removed) Police department. are you flanked by cruisers?" Me(a little freaked out-"Yes, sir I am". "Turn on your amber, you are being escorted." So I do as I'm told, they turn their lights on, and I'm escorted to my store at about double the speed limit, with their sirens wailing and we're blowing every light and stop sign on the way there. we pull up and they are standing at my door before I open it. "Sir, we need you to speak with Captain (Removed). He's the commanding officer on duty." I meet the commander and he's FUMED. Our contracts are never armed (No firearms allowed). Apparently, this guard had a gun, and he was patrolling inside the tent. An officer stopped by to see how thenight was going, entered the tent, went around an armoire, and was met with the barrel of a handgun(Don't know what kind, they wouldn't tell me). So I got to spend 3 hours talking to officersand apologizing, file an incident report with my company, and then repeat the process the following morning with the Store manager. Looking back, that escort was the coolest thing I've ever experienced! I felt like the president for 3 and a half minutes. LOL
  16. I hate to ruin everyone's year, but I'm sure you've all heard Atari has pushed it to 12/31/07. *cries*
  17. I would watch BioDome with Pauly Shore non-stop for 3 weeks straight, while listening to a continuous loop of Yanni albums and fingernails on chalk. Oh, and I'd Drink RC Cola....... *shudder*
  18. :6: so i hate to be the one to ask this and look like a total n00b... has anyone done a walkthrough on the LA- only missions? I'm having difficulties.... i.e. the second Experimental aircraft crash mission (L.A. only) I can't seem to get the fires out fast enough and either lose or, as I just finished playing, get a 23% with a time of over half an hour(bad), personal injuries(bad, but none of my units, all soldiers on the base), and property(bad, due to fires spreading out of control). If none have been made yet, I have been able to get 100% on some of the missions and would be more than happy to contribute to said LA mission walkthrough. I appreciate everything you guys do, and especialy all the help, seeing as I can't do half of it Novius
  19. I've noticed the textures flash oddly as well, but I attribute that to RAM and I don't really trust my UniChrome card for anything.... I will put a screenie on a photo album and supply a link tomorrow or later today, I need sleep. I'm a bit too noob here, not sure how to add a pic to posts, but that's irrelevant, bc the pic would be too small anyway. I'll edit this post, so I'm not doubling, with the link. I appreciate the help! EDIT: Link is here to the pic on photobucket. I pulled out all the maps and everything so you can see. Thanks, guys.
  20. So, I've had this problem since I started playing. It doesn't freeze the game or anything, but it's getting annoying. Instead of the panels (Calling units/game speed/etc and the buttons next to the minimap) I have gray square buttons. To make it more interesting, the lower left hand panel is a gray rectangle, and the call buttons turn a grayish hue (like a faded red for fire, blue for police, light gray for medical, and puke colored tech) I know this is wrong based on all the screenies everyone has posted. I have the retail game bought in the US, not sure the version, but I haven't had many other problems, so I'm not sure if I need to patch or not. Here's my specs: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) 446 MB RAM AMD Sempron Processor 3300+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz XP Home v. 5.1 Build 2600 VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP Graphics card @ 64.0MB Drivers have been updated since I got the game. Any thoughts? I'm really disturbed here.
  21. i will upload the english version mod pdf later tonight, I am on the wrong computer at the moment. EDIT: I just uploaded the English EM3 Mod pdf to the site. Sorry it took so long, guys.
  22. :6: wow do I feel like an idiot. I want to formally apologize I don't know what I was on when I wrote that. The post was originally intended to throw out an idea, and I totally wrote it wrong. I have no intention of skinning over the LA mod, never my intention but apparently I don't know where my brain can be found. Where I was trying to go with that was that I would like to make a mod with more than the standard number of vehicles, I haven't seen any other than in LA mod, but I have since found a tutorial on that very subject written by you, hoppah. I hope I am understood, I was in error and deeply apologize. In any case, I'll leave all the bi gmods to you, Hoppah. I think I'll just skin the current EM3 Vehicles and call it good for now.
  23. So, I'm going to look into the making of mods, But I don't have a clue as of yet. The Idea I'm envisioning would be a Mod for Michigan state police. I'm going to put something in the request a skin area as well, as that might do. Here's my grand Delusion: Grand Rapids, Michigan mod. GRPD Units are hard to find pictures of so the city of origin would be flexible, but my thoughts on the matter are basing the mod on LA mod: GRPD (or other city) replace LAPD units in mod LASD Units to be a county Unit scheme(they're all similar here, so it doesn't matter which, though Grand Rapids would be Kent County) CHP would be MSP, complete with blue color, revolving red light on the roof (similar to a blue light from some of the european ambulance mods/original game, but red and double the size or so) and potentially the shark fin (light up sign on the hood with the words state STOP police) they used to use for side stops, but are kept for antiquity. Fire units would reflect the city of choice (I do't think the skins need to change much from LA to do that. Emergency Units would be based on a local ambulance (example: Life EMS has Green and white units, so that would be the main unit, keep Fire EMS similar to fire units as Hoppah did in LA mod, switch LAX ambulance to a different local unit that I haven't thought of yet. potentially keep the Tech units the same, though maybe change the Lighting unit in LA mod to a different cab, like a maybe even make it into a pickup truck. I don't know if this will ever be made, as I said I'm not sure even where to start, but MSP has a very unique setup that no other state has on their cars, and I'd love to see and play it. I know it'd need Hoppah's approval for editing the LA mod and approval for all the vehicles across the board. Let me know what everyone thinks.
  24. Truly the work of a master. thank you for the quick and helpful reply. You sir, are an artist and a gentleman. Your work amazes me yet again.
