You have to change the scripts for that (so lights go on automaticly) and the lights of the vehicle (change light types).
That is quite a lot of work for a not-so-important thing.

I've changed minds about using things from my mod.
I hope everyone understands and agrees.

I've made a list of what I want to include certainly in v1.1
FREEPLAY:
- Police station & hospital buildings.
- Fire station (Open House).
- Parking script for fire station.
- GoToHospital + GoToPoliceStation script.
MULTIPLAYER
- Fire station, police station & hospital buildings.
- GoToHospital + GoToPoliceStation script.
MISC:
- Coroners + Coroners Van.
- Vehicle lights improved.
- Text files improved (including unit info).
- Increase 'fire resistance' for all vehicles.
- All bugs from v1.0 fixed.
The multiplayer map won't have a parking script (for fire station) and an open Fire station, because there are multiple players.
You have to divide the trucks inside the station or use some kind of spawn script for the station (to assign vehicles to a certain player) and I don't want that (yet).

ah, great news on the release. Now I just have to wait on them to release the english version. UK or US, doesn't matter to me.
My mod is English.
But I bet you mean English version of Emergency 4.

You need to change the ID of the unit.
Therefore, you need to edit unit.xml (Units folder), protraits.xml (Specs folder) and the languagefiles portraits.xml and infotexts.xml
In all 4 files unit ID's are given.
For example:
unit.xml:
<unit id="CV_LAPD">
portraits.xml (Specs folder):
<portrait prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/03 LA Police/cv_lapd.e4p" text="CV_LAPD" unit="CV_LAPD"/>
infotexts.xml:
<string name="ID_NAME_CV_LAPD">LAPD Patrol Car</string>
<string name="ID_PURPOSE_CV_LAPD">Los Angeles Police Department</string>
<string name="ID_TOOLTIP_CV_LAPD">LAPD Patrol Car</string>
protraits.xml (In Lang folder):
<string name="ID_PORTRAIT_CV_LAPD">LAPD Patrol Car</string>
as you can see 'CV_LAPD' returns in every file. That's the unit ID.
Make sure that's corresponding. Don't use orginal ID's (like STW or MTW) because you will get wrong pictures then (I suppose that's happening to you).

You are all wrong.

Hoppah, can the marines use the handgun when they drop the assault rifle? It looked like that in the trailer. If so, does the same work with the sharpshooter?
Also, have you considered adding a plainclothes/undercover police officer, perhaps to ride in the unmarked car?
No, the sharpshooter stays the same as the original one.
So, the sharpshooter can't drop his weapon.
The marine without the sniper rifle can also use a handgun.
There are no undercover or plainclothes police officers in v1.0. I don't realy see the point of adding those, because terrorists won't 'see' difference (the will attack them too).

any possiblity of a L.E.D lightbar being released?
Baz has vehicles with LED lightbars in his Maryland mod.
If I have time I can create one too, but you can ask Baz to release one of his LED lightbars too.

Yes, you can't use a watercannon and hose connections at the same.
You need to change the vehicle type for that or spawn a new prototype (what I did).

Conclusion:
- Dubbing sucks.
- "germans, french, italians, spaniards, polish, greeks and other civilized europeans" are too lazy to learn English.

v1.0 is finished, but the mod need to be tested first.
And I don't have much time for that, so you need to wait.

There is no Dutch topic, because Dutch people can read and write English too. So a Dutch topic is not necessary.

I wouldn't see the point in having campus police or school rent-a-cops
I have a question for you, hoppah. The two fire engines, how many hose connections will they have?
Also, the ballistic shield, will it have the same effect as the "stop persons" command by police? Or does it just boost the armor on police units?

Both fire engines have 4 connections. I can't add more.
The Ballistic shield protects the unit (so it boosts the armor of the police unit). It doesn't have the same effect as the 'stop persons' command.

"bring in more troops" command was useless.
lol, I used it alot while testing my new missions, so it isn't useless.
That's just your opinion.
But with Emergency 4 you can send new vehicle directly to a spot on the map so that command is useless in Emergency 4.

Yes, you have to do the same thing like when you attach a hose to the truck.
You will see a small icon when you move your mouse over the 'connector'.
When all hoses are detached you can 'Disable the Hose Connections' and the vehicle can be moved again.

I will only add supervisors (+ cars) if they have some kind of special abillity (command). I don't want a lot of useless units in my mod. So, that's why I haven't made supervisors (yet).

The start up is in German after you've loaded the Los Angeles Mod?
