  3. thanks for the videos, thats exactly what i needed. how do i know when to send the units out, cause every time i send a truck out it seems i forget someone and i see them running like 1 min after i send the truck, lol.
  4. i was tinkering with it...and nothing, lol. i dont know how to put out a fire. could you post up some videos on how to set this stuff up. i dont need a translation, just videos, lol. thats how i started on the winterberg mod. this is great. like what you have put into it. keep up the good work.
  5. for me i like that one, but instead of real units why not use ones from the mod? just a observation, might show off some work people did, make them showcased a little.
  6. He is currently working on a version for 2.0 but it takes him time because he has other things going on for him. I dont know if he is still active but if he is he would be working on it.
  7. the best way to learn is to look at the scripts others have come up with and modify them. see how it works then try one yourself and see what you get. it takes time, practice and patience. a C++ book might not hurt either, lol.

  12. ok, one step at a time, what map are you trying to edit?
  13. on line 333 (i know this sounds stupid) but you have LADDER2, make it Ladder2 and see if that runs.
  14. for the xml file did you add it to the top and bottom sections?

  18. ok, good. you need to go to your firestation script and make the same changes to add the ladder2. add the obj_ladder2, vo_ladder2. also you need to go to the area where the hazmat was and make sure it has been changed to have the ladder2.
  19. i dont have a clue about that stuff. right now i have no em4/911 fr.
  20. ok, open the editor, you can find it in the start button. just go to your em4/911 fr file and click on the em4/911 fr editor. it will open and on the top there will be a modification tab. click it and load the mod. when it loads find the map tab on top and click load. open freeplay (either one dont matter). when it loads go to the edit tab aand click VO (virtual obects). in the list find fs_hazmat and change it to fs_ladder2. go back to the map tab and click save. overrite the old and exit. load up the game and see what happens.
  21. they should be siren01 through siren06. i dont know how you have them labeled but that is how they should be. the wave file is right but are they mono toned (i think they have to be)?
  22. in the editor did you change the VO from hazmat to ladder2 in fs2? the script looks solid.
  23. post just the start script so i can see what it looks like now. i guess we will do this one at a time.
  24. did you change the siren script at all? and what did you name the sirens?
  25. did you replace what you needed to? you needed to delete the VO_HAZMAT and replace with VO_LADDER2 and go down to where the ladder2 spawns and replace VO_HAZMAT with VO_LADDER2. see what that looks like for ya.
