Okay ... Maybe it's me but I noticed if you park a cop car on a two lane road and redirect the traffic in ONE lane, you redirect the traffic in BOTH lanes. Now, it would be nice if the cars in the second lane went past the scene without turning around also. That might have to do with pathing, maybe its possible, maybe not but I would be nice. As far as redirecting goes, what do you do if there's an accident blocking a lane? Let the cars pile up. Or perhaps you have a fire in a residential area, I've noticed fire spreads quickly to surrounding areas. Thus, you have to send multiple engines to areas around the fire. So, putting your units "out of the way" isn't always possible.

My Thoughts Likes: Well to begin its a new map, so new events, new places to explore, new dispatch policy, and breaks up the old monogamy. In addition to that we get a new Fire House (St. 2), and new building such as Walmart, and Ralphs, and a nice river. Dislikes: The Tiller, I've always thought the rear of the tiller seemed off. For any given reason the tiller can fish tale, as if the rear driver was drunk. I know we said the games engine didn't permit this engine, and we wrote it off. Also, when you place a FF on the ladder he looks as though hes standing straight up when you raise the ladder, we know this is impossible, but it happens. I won't complain though seeing as we got something we first thought impossible, after intense discussion. These tiller issues may be fixed in the future, maybe not, for now I'm content with the normal ladder. I'd add some suggestions, but I believe they'd interfere with the tillers realism. Traffic: Pathing issues? Will this get fixed, or will traffic jams always bug us. Overwhelming: The first call I got was the normal stroke, fall, etc. Then a hostage situation, not long after that a fire, I put the fire out then theirs a car accident, while I'm dealing with that a riot breaks out. All the while I'm dealing with the hostage situation, and hes shooting at my police who are returning fire. On top of that I'm dealing with a car accident a block away, near a shrub fire. I like the realism lol, but just feel overwhelmed at my dispatch center My thoughts .. love the game, liked to see a few minor changes, that's about it though.

I'm not an expert, but I have a question. Of that 32 MB in your ATI RAGE Ultra Card, how much is dedicated. Normally, I believe your suppose to have (at a minimum) 256 mb dedicated, and the 768 ram won't effect your game, but I think it'll make loading take a while (makes it slow). Anyway, I'm not an expert, just going off past experiences. Hope this helps.

Your semi-correct, the SecRom error has nothing to do with copy protection (with vista anyway, its another issue). 911 First Responders wasn't designed with Windows Vista in mind. In order to get 911 first responders to work you need to set the games compatibility to windows xp. Right Click On The Game > Properties > Compatibility > Windows XP (Service Pack 2) If that still doesn't work, then load the control panel and search for the User Account Controls (type UAC) and turn them off (you'll have to restart the computer). The user account control pops up when you change a program, it says something like "program A wants to do this, continue or cancel". The UAC interferes with the protection validation thus the game won't load. So, if you can live with the UAC off, then your game will work fine, IF your drivers are updated like everyone else has mentioned. Hope this helps.

The dark side eh. Well, I'm apart of it as well, my Dads been a Maryland State Trooper for 13 years give or take, and he loves it . Unfortunately, I'm a Pyromaniac, and I've been in trouble a time or too for playing with fire rofl (nothing major). So, to prevent myself from ever "accidentally" burning a building down I figured I'd join the FD. Makes more sense to put them out, then to set them, plus its a lot less hassle. I do have one question Hoppah, I was reading your manual and I noticed most units were labeled (those that report to station 1, or 2), such as Engines 1, 2, and the ALS ambulances. However, I noticed the ladder, and Tiller weren't labeled, is the tiller going to fit into station 1? Or, do we have to call it from off map; because if that's the case then it probably won't see much action. I'm just curious though.

Alright. 1.) Lights; I've seen a ton of reskins, and they all have specific lights to resemble their related cities. Now, what I want to know is HOW? I've read the tut on "rotating blue lights" but those are for UK, NL units, not really US units. I need to know (if there is) if there is a tut on redoing lights. If not, then I need someone to explain (in detail), how to go about doing this. In other words, if you don't know anything don't post. 2.) Units: I've seen this so many times but I can't find it, wheres the url for the "replace the hazmat unit" with a light equipment truck. Edit: I found the URL, but this doesn't help me to much. Where do I go to replace the Hazmat truck with the L.E.V truck. 3.) I'll probably get killed, but. How the hell do you do reskins. Is there a tut for it? I was going to be nice, but you just struck me the wrong way. I wouldn't say others "don't know alot", cause then you leave yourself open to look like a dumbass, WHICH YOU DID. I wouldn't start quoting another areas response policy when YOU don't know jack. First and foremost you DON'T leave anyone behind, I'm sorry to tell you this but 3 or 4 seconds it takes to get into the rig WON'T kill anyone. And, if YOU are going to die that fast YOUR already dead. In addition to that, the engines may have paramedics on board, but without proper hospital treatment your still not out of the woods. And to continue, since I'm actually a fire fighter... There are serious legal/ punishments actions that can be taken against the engineers (the people who drive the rig), and fire fighters. Both parties are responsible for being on the rig, and making sure everyone's on board, and since this is a brotherhood the WHOLE crew usually ends up getting in trouble. In addition, this issue is game based, no procedure based. Having made yourself look more retarded by saying "I'm sure you can change the timer" made your IQ drop that much more. So, I'd think before you start questioning someone's intelligence. and talking about something you clear don't know jack about. Good Day.

* Dispatch Policy* When the game loads up all personal reports to their designated vehicles (FF's to the fire truck, and paramedics to the ambulance). As, the game progresses, and I send units out returning units report back to the fire house. I do no sound the alarm to refill all vehicles in the station, instead I hot key the Battalion Chief, and an alarm is sounded for each specific unit (if on isn't ready). Unfortunately, sometimes a fire truck will leave with 3 out of 4 fire fighters. When my Battalion Chief sounds an alarm for a fire truck, the fire trucks lights come on, and fire fighters report to the engine. Then, (sometimes) 3 of the 4 fire fighters will be on board, while the 4th one is heading towards the truck it will leave. Thus leaving one fire fighter stranded, other times the 4th fire fighter will open the door (not being on all the way) and the engine will leave. The game (obviously) recognizes this as all fire fighters on board (and while this is fine), in real life the engine is not allowed to leave if a fire fighter has the door open getting on board. This indeed as annoying, especially when you arrive to a fire with 3 units, and find 1 standing in the bay alone. I don't believe this is a bug, rather the game mistaking the engine being full when it is not. And ... I was just wondering if this minor issue will be fixed in 1.9

I actually registered, and this is my conversation. There is no fixed release date. The mod is finished, when all work is done. Your question, whether the mod will be translated to english, I can't answer, but I think, that you will understand the most, although it's not in english. Hmm. The Wuppertal mod looks good, but I still have an issue with it. Like so MANY other mods its in German, and there isn't an English translated version. Now don't get me wrong I like the mod, but to me English is like the second language everyone in the freak world learns. I mean really you might see someone speaking German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, or Chinessee, and then all of a sudden they start speaking English. So, there isn't a shortage there, when they start making English variables so we know what the (insert what ever you want) is happening instead of having to post "what does this button do", then I'll get back to you. In addition to that what's with Germans are nerdy, I'm an American citizen and I'm beginning to wonder about this Damn country. Japan is surpassing us (and they had a TOUGH road), I wouldn't begin to talk about Germany. Wait .... everyone we've conquered in a war is smarter then us, odd. Dumb question. I've tried this all night, I open the .info file into a notebook, and edit it. Then when I go to save it it'l say cannot create (file name) make sure the path and file name are correct. Whats up there?

My sincerest apologies for now elaborating more. 1.) Unions: They have never had one, and will never have one. 2.) I wouldn't work there: Well considering I live in Tennessee, I'm going to college, and the economy is shit, any job is welcome. Money is money, it doesn't matter how you earn it. 3. Get the tapes: LOL, their are a combined 10 cameras in our building, none of which are outside (where this happened). They line the cash register area, down the side halls, along the grills, and in the office. 4.) Get a lawyer: I was, in fact I had found a few numbers. Luckily for me I did some research, went down to our owner operators HQ, and told him what was about to befall him. In return any past issues, and this current issue were removed, and I'm on a paid weeks vacation. Not as good as a law suit, but meh. In the end, yeah Fuck McDonalds. Alright, so I'm curious as to how everyone else would respond to this. A little background info: I work for McDonalds (me and my girl, for now until schools done), and if you know anything about McDonalds you know we park people sometimes. We do this so we can cook food, etc, just to keep the line moving. Sometimes people complain we "forget" about them but then again 1 minute is to long for some people. Anyway It was Friday August 21st, 10:00 PM E.S.T. (time to go home), and my girl and I were running out two final orders. We had a $32.00 order (pretty big), and a $27.53 order (semi-big). It took about 5ish minutes to get everyone's food because of the time. Nevertheless, we took the food outside, well the guy in car B (the 27.53) was already out walking towards our building (he was a fat redneck, I moved to Tennessee ... bad idea). He said "I though ya'll forgot about us". My girl said no we just had to big orders, and I said just be patient and you'll get your food. Anyway, we went back inside and clocked out, then we proceeded to walk out the door. We were about 4 feet from the door when the fat redneck made a comment along the lines of "I don't give a fuck about the other people, or I don't want to wait". Anyway I told him where he could go, and in his fatness he though he was going to fight me. Unfortunately, I have a black belt in karate if it makes a difference, and 7 years of that shit hasn't left my head .. so he failed. Anyway, he complained to corporate, and they told my head manager. We had a talk, it went something like this. Manager: Did you cuss a man out on Friday Me: Ye Manager: Your not allowed to do that while on the clock, etc Me: I was clocked out Manager: They said it was 8:00 pm Me: In what country? It was 10:06 P.M., it was night, and I was off the clock. You need to take a chill pill in the mod business. This has EVERYTHING to do with the LA Mod. That's what I've been trying to play and been failing at.

Like the title says, I'm an idiot. As you already know I was having issues with 911 first responders loading and working. After some trial and error I realized what Hoppan was talking about when he said I needed to turn off the UAC. I turned off the user account controls, and the game load. Ah ah ah .. it loaded a black screen, and crashed. So, I did more research and learned I needed to update my graphics card. Well, it turns out I was running some intel family chip with on 64mb of dedicated memory, yeah probably why the game didn't load. Unfortunately, the idiot who sold it to me told me it was good with games, wrong! Anyway, I returned it, and I have a labtop on back order. I just want to know before I buy it What do you guys think, WILL IT PLAY 911 FR, and the LA Mod. 1.) I reinstalled the LA mod, do I have to install the patches that fix the errors in the game or are they installed alrady. 2.) When I send the LA firefighting toe truck out the game crashes, anyone have any ideas? 3.) Is it possible to add another mod. What I mean by that is; when you install the LA mod it gives you an option to switch between the LA, and the normal mod. I want to download the wood map, and give it its own mod spot. So I can switch between the LA mod, the normal game, and woods map. Without having to change the map textures in the LA mod everytime I want to change maps.

I posted what I did for a reason. Hoppah's work is spectacular, regardless of how easy or hard some areas might be. Its amazing how someone can script, or even create their own mod such as this. Which is why I said no one except him should be allowed the 100% credit, re-skins are nice but what I'm saying is its a re-skin. Not much credit is given, its not a drastic change its more ascetics (appearance). I just think re-skins of high quality, not crap, should be recognized. I understand it may be "easy" but you can tell who put the time and effort into it, and who didn't. But, I'll leave it be at that. I don't wish to cause a war, or something to happen on Bama's thread. His re-skins are amazing even if their easy to do, their still high quality to me. And, Soldjaboy. Question. Why aren't re-skins allowed? 100% complete and total creation of the LA Mod is given to you (Hoppah), and people aren't releasing your Mod with different vehicles so why not allow re-skins to be shared. It's not like there doing any different work then you, and it takes true talent to do what they've done. Not to mention theoretically speaking all US engines are similar in design, so by saying "design your own models and we'll see", that's a round about statement that doesn't end. Plus, LA? I mean really whats so special about LA wild fires? Drug addicts, yeah its a big city but no one cares about it. Your from another country granted, but how many immigrants come to America and say "Lets go to LA!" none. If LA was so important they'd have made a series about it, have they? Just a few questions. 1.) Is their a tut on how to change light bars (make them different, change the colors around, etc) 2.) How do you change the paint scheme on a car (I know though paint or photoshop but is there a tut for that). I want to change the color scheme for cars, and engines along with the light bars I just need to know how, Thanks.

Actually, I like the state police. Their paint scheme is a little different then most cities. However, the NYPD would be a nice addition.
