  1. Why not make them Delta? *cough, cough*BlackHawkDown*cough, cough*
  2. Lol yeah, especially considering some of us see more parades yearly than we do calls
  3. Why not make it a mustang or camero or some other overly-powered imported muscle car?
  4. You're right about the Transport truck; it was the Barracks from GTA San Andreas. I'm absolutely loving the way things are going so far Hoppah, awesome work! If I might recommend, though, that you scale the MRAP a tad bit bigger and/or the soldiers a tad bit smaller, as they are definitely not proportional from what I'm seeing (could also be my point of view though I guess)
  5. If you do Hoppah's way, why not try it with the stryker? I'd figure it'd be just as easy
  6. Off-topic: Lol it's a Pierce. On-topic: I'm just curious; do you have any progress report on how the next version of the mod is doing? Thx bama!
  7. You can use the current version of the script now; just download and install using the directions Hoppah provided. Hoppah does not have an estimated release date as of yet, so I would recommend doing this, unless you wanna wait
  8. A couple of the rigs we've used recently were originally FDNY vehicles (at least two service/rescue type trucks). It's pretty common practice of recycling rigs in my experience
  9. You have to edit the file in the Specs folder named freeplayparams or something like that. I can't give you a specific line that you need to edit, but it's in the first group I think. Hope this helps!
  10. Alright, well I've tried a couple times to manually edit e4p files, specifically just editing the destination folder(s) and names of the other prototypes and models liked to it, so that I can have, say, two different ladder trucks in LA Mod, but don't wanna have to manually set up the ladder and such. However, every time I try to save it and load it in the editor, it crashes my game. Any help?
  11. That's what I ended up doing; having them get a different piece of equipment (they can't get the same equipment or use that original piece at all)
  12. I've had that too. Just have him walk somewhere, then have him put it down. Two other problems I just found: First, I deployed the guys from Ladder 21, mainly bc I thought it would be faster to do that to get the jumppad (which it was). I then had everyone put their stuff down and get back in the truck. However, when I later had them get out, they still had the equipment with them, even though they put it down earlier, and what's worse is that they couldn't put it down anymore either. The second issue that I have been having is the fact that all I'm getting for callouts is a huge amount of NYPD stuff, an occasional EMS run, and a couple MVA's/Car fires. Now, I've played freeplay twice so far. I think I'm gonna just try editing the parameter file to have it so the only calls you can get are Fire calls, and see how that works. Edit: The waiting time in between calls is a bit too lengthy, even for me. I would recommend seeing if yinz could shorten that, even a little bit.
  13. If I may make a request, could someone possibly make it so that instead of hooking up the ladder truck to a hydrant you would instead hook it up to an engine, which would then pump water to it. Most (if not all) US ladder trucks don't have their own pumps, but rather rely on the pumps of fire engines to supply their deluge gun in the bucket with water.

    Ideas for a new Mod?

Hmmm... u consider doing a GTA V mod? I think that'd be pretty cool to see. Get bank heists and stuff, but obviously you'd be the Emergency Services trying to prevent said from occuring and what not
  15. We'll I was just indicating if it would be possible, not requesting anything. My team and are pretty capable, and could most likely creat such a vehicle if we wanted to, as long as it was possible with minimal scripting (although we could probably manage otherwise)
  16. That, and/or seeing the possibility of having top-mount pump units, whereas the guy would be up on top of the rig like he is in the US Army Mod? Yay!
  17. Another version of that would be an engine connecting to a ladder truck or another engine (sometimes the first arriving engine goes right in and starts fighting the fire, while the second due engine sets up a supply line for the first due engine to use. More common in urban areas where response times are much less.) Another idea I just had is to turn the pump on/off, whereas when it's on the truck won't move and it checks the water levels, and the rest of the stuff works, and when turned off it saves that number of the tank level and stops checking until turned on. Would help with any potential lag and be more realistic
  18. Oh, that's a good point, routing water through trucks to other trucks in general
  19. Would it be possible to have a blitz gun working ingame? Would it be possible to have/require a second firefighter to be with the first firefighter on a hoseline? Would it be possible to set up a dump tank, and then have a command where your designated water tender will go back and forth between the tank and the closest designated fill station? Would all of these be possible with the limited tank script, and/or work in Freeplay? Many regards!
  20. Hmmm... would it be possible to set up a dump tank? That could solve the issue with rural departments, and could even be useful in the US Army mod
  21. Why not make the smoke act as a toxic substance, and poison everyone inside, per say. Also maybe makeit very heavy smoke. Then when you vent the structure the smoke dissipates some. Also maybe make it a requirement for entering the structure, otherwise there'd be a chance of a backdraft (I.E. explosion at the door when the FF tries to enter the structure)
  22. Hey, what about vent ops for structures? Will we ever be able to see that in the SD?
  23. Hey guys, if I may note for those of you who don't want as many, or any pd calls, etc... can just edit the freeplay xml files and lower the frequency of that particular call Edit: Here's a short list of the things I found: -Some models are altogether missing, others are lacking wheels and such. -The crane needs at least one operator added to it, otherwise u can't move it -You can't purchase any more new vehicles (I.E. You can't have 11 Standard NYPD CVPI's) -When using the Turnout On/Off, it typically only works with half of the crew -Vehicle placement at the stations is buggy, whereas your guys can't exit the trucks at times -(This one most likely was just that round, but) When I played I always had a ratio of 8 NYPD Calls to every 2 FDNY/EMS Calls, and those two FDNY calls were either medical runs or mva's -(Minor)The boots at 54/4/9 House cause the firefighters to change into SCBA -(Minor)The noise for when Battalion 9 has someone enter/exit is similar to firefighters suiting up into SCBA I recall there being other things I noted, but alas I don't remember at this time
  24. I think that call is the False Alarm that they have setup in the mod, but don't quote me on this
  25. You have to edit LAFireStationStart, LAFireStation, and gotofirestation (or whatever that's named) to change the vehicles in the station. You can find these in Scripts/Commands, and they are readable by textpad or better
