lol i would but i dont know anything about script modifying
HAHA.. yeah, I thought I did, but, I guess I was wrong
-
ya i forgot how much work goes into such a simple task.....
No worries man.. it happens And, I suppose it wouldn't be too too hard to have 3 parking spaces for 3 or 4 units to choose from; look at the ALS ambulance script for returning to base. That could probably be modified to suit your needs
-
well what i was thinking is, if i were to buy the large ambulance, instead of having it patrol or just be in the way, i could have it park in a empty parking space at FS1 or FS2. The same would go for any other unit i bought.
Yeah, see, what you wants is to pretty much pick a unit, pick a parking spot, and they go there. You can only assign one unit to each parking spot. I'm sure making it so that the units search for an open parking spot and park there, but I don't doubt the scripting would be a nightmare. It may be possible, but not without a LOT of difficulty
-
i just want to be able to buy extra units and be able to park them in the empty parking spots at FS1.
Do you mean you want to pick a rig, and a parking spot, and have them park there? Cause the only options you have are to assign each specific unit a specific parking space...

What about scripting the truck sprayer than adding it onto a pumper truck
I'm not an expert, by any means, but, I believe the problem is the type of vehicle (FF's RW, Police StW, etc.). I believe you can't have an aerial ladder (FF's DLK?) mixed with a pumper (FF's WB?). I'm pretty sure thats the issue...

Lynch mob?

Yeah his dad who was "Supervising" (By reading playboys in his office) is being charged with manslaughter I believe. Oh and while responding to the Middle school my best friend's ambulance got hit by a ford taurus.
You know, that just pisses me off to no end. Both cases.
The father.. seriously? W.... T.... F.... how can you allow your son/daughter (<don't wanna offend anyone) to work around a wood chipper, while you're pullin your pud in the office? Like, I hope he feels like SH*T for that!!!!!!
And, how the F**K do you hit an ambulance? Are you deaf and blind? like.. Flashing lights and sirens mean nothing to you?
Sorry. I just had to vent about that...

i can look at your scripts (both of you) and help you out, but i cant do anything to the map because my computer is revolting and i cant play games. i could tell you what vo's you need to add though. i would be happy to help.
PM'd you
-
thanks for the fast reply and welcome! i have learned a ton about the game from this site! you guys are great! ya im not comfortable with modding any scripts just yet so i guess i will just make do with what i have. thanks alot!
anytime and, if I figure out my scripts, I can take a crack at yours

haha, I'm going to have to guess Tazer
I'm assuming it would hurt, however, we're both finding it funny

Looks a bit extreme for a P.O.V., but it's your car, not mine.
Agreed. Isn't the objective of Reb/Blue/White/Green/Pink lights to get the attention of drivers, and announce that your there?
That ^ is like using a P.A. System to whisper something in someone's ear. It's a little thing called:
Which, in searching for, allowed me to find:

Hello all, i have done a search and can not find what i am looking for.... what i was wondering is .......is there a way to command vehicles to park in parking spots? a example would be if i buy a additional unit, and i want to park it at FS1 , can i command it to park in a open spot that way it isnt in the way at the station?. I see screen shots of people that are doing this, but i dont know if it is a homemade script or am i just unaware of how to do it in the game. lol. Thanks is advance!!
Jeremy
Jeremy!
And, in answer to your question, you have to modify scritps. It is possible, but, make sure you know what you're doing first. I'm ready to heave my computer out the window, because I modified some scripts, and they aren't working. That means my game won't work. It's very annoying, but possible

Child stuck in a tree.... This should be interesting. I want to know why a kid is stuck in a tree at 1:15AM, I guess I'll find it in a few minutes.
EDIT: Cancelled before we even responded, child was assisted down by PD.
haha thats awesome! gotta love those late night climbers eh?
Also.. how did PD assist him/her down? 9mm slug? Tazer? you be the judge
-
lol, I like this one where the EMS captain is giving you a funny look.
Probably because it was at the scene of a suicide
-
You killed me...
I bet if they dont followed protocol and SOMETHING happend they would be in big trouble.
Haha.. I'm glad you liked it
And yeah, thats why they had to do it. They got in sh*t as is, for entering the Station. The Chief's changing the CAD now, so that if that ever happens again, then the next due Station gets the run

I got another one for ya's:
02:30 (ish) EST, Fri, 27 Nov, 2009:
Fort Erie Pump 1 dispatched to an Unknown 9-1-1 investigation. However, the address was 119 Bertie Street. That's Fort Erie Fire Station 1. Now, not only did the dispatcher give the responding Firefighters the map grid, but she also gave them cross streets to their own hall
But, it gets better. You see, in Fort Erie, the Fire Department 'acknowledges' the call. In the past, we've had problems with tones not going off, pagers not activating, etc. So, now, if no one acknowledges the call within 5 minutes, Control attempts to contact the Station on the air. If no response after two tries; Control re-tones the call.
So, seeing as it's THEIR Fire Station that they're responding to, you'd think they'd be right on it, right? Wrong. They had to re-tone the call, because no one got the call.
Now, Fort Erie's protocol on Unknown 9-1-1 Calls is to stage 1 block out to wait for Regional Police to clear the location of any danger to personnel.
So, what is it the fire fighters do? Do they wait a block away before going to the station to get the truck? Nope. 10 or 12 guys go into the Station, put their gear on, and 6 of them jump in the Pump. The rest, they stay in the building in case they need the Rescue. So, Pump 1 responds from 119 Bertie St to 119 Bertie St, but, they have to follow protocol. So, they drive around they block, and stage at the corner, waiting for police to clear the building they just left.
I have doubts on whether or not the become a Fort Erie Fire Fighter anymore... hmmmmm.....
In the end, it was a phone malfunction. But, boy, did I ever get a kick out of the staging situation

Yeah.. The LAToFireStation.script. It's pretty intense, I'd suggest gettin to know a bit about scripting first, and make sure you back-up your files. I made the mistake of not backing them up :'(
