  3. So what's up bros? I'm working on my personal mod adding in a new firefighter unit, a person. So I've made the prototype, edited the skin, edited the model, edited the unit, edited portraits, edited the car which the unit is assigned, edited the units in the editor, edited vehicles.xlm, edited info texts and the other portraits. When I startup and go to test out the vehicle ingame it crashes, though the person and the vehicle load in the editor. I've got a very wtf face going on and many internets would be given for a solution. Log file attached. logfile.txt

  12. This is to clear up most confusion with people who don't know how yo use the mod installer, so I've created a tutorial to help clear things up, if this could be pinned I would love said mod forever. Anyways... First find your mod that you want to download, for this tutorial I have chosen my Judgment Day Beta mod. Other mods for emergency 3 can be found here on the site's Download centre After finding your mod, click on its link in the download centre, a new page will open with more specific details about the mod in question and the option to download it. Click the download button that is boxed in red only. You will then be taken to the site's agreement for download. These are the terms of agreement that you must accept to download any file from the download centre. After you've read this go ahead and accept the terms. Now that you have accepted the terms your download will begin. On Firefox your browser will display a confirmation asking if you wish to download the file, select save file and then hit okay. Your download will start. Upon the download ending select the file in your download que, and right click selecting the "Open containing folder You will be taken to the location of your download. When you find your download you will need to extract the file, To do so right click the zipped mod folder and select the "Extract all files" option. Windows will then ask you where you wish to extract the files to.Extract them to a location of your choice. Now you need to open your mod installer! This is going to be (By default) in your start menu under Strategy First > Emergency 3 (If you have the united states version.) Once there find the mod installer icon and click on it. When you start up the mod installer a small window will appear, since we are installing a mod we will select "Install package" Now navigate to where you extracted your mod file, this will differ with user to user. When you do find your mod click it once and hit Open at the bottom of the browse window. Your mod will now begin to install, this may take a long time. If more than 30 minutes passes your computer is likely frozen. Once the modinstaller has finished installing your mod it will display the following screen: That's it! You're finished, now exit the modinstaller, open the game, and launch your modification from the "Modifications" button on the main menu.
  13. Reinstall the game and the mod, then patch the game.
  14. Ironic actually that you mention something happening at a 5 guys, and also ironic of your username, last time I was in a five guys some dude in a robocop costume came in screaming claiming that he was Alex Murphy, grabbed someone's food order and threw it at the manager.
  15. Yeah, but if it runs in 16 colour depth 256 isn't needed. But I did do both.
  16. Every time I try and play it instantly crashes to a black screen and displays an error message that is the same in the log file. Log file: Warning: \Projects\Emergency2\Projekt\Base\Direct3d.cpp(213): Could not find mode 1024 768 # 16! Warning: \Projects\Emergency2\Projekt\main.cpp(1206): Error Initializing Direct3D I know it's a display issue, now the question is wat do?
  17. I'm Ewan Raven and I'm 29, I made JD mod and I'm a very tired individual, I joined emergency planet in it's arguable hey day and have been playing Emergency since I was 15. Uhhhhh what else about me... I'm a supervisor specializing in technical rescue with the fire department, I had a troubled youth, and I have no mother or father anymore.
  18. Yeah trying to see if it will work for multiplayer.
  19. ^ there ya go that was my work around.
  20. I was part of the group that translated it, I will see if I can get it for you.
  21. Googling to try and solve this issue too... Starforce is notorious for crap costumer support and had a lawsuit filled against them for DMR using rootkits that were believed to steal personal information (I think lol) I'm looking for a work around, well I have a work around but I can't post it on the site.
