  1. I have no problem saving/loading my games. Your trying to save through the main menu while playing the game right?
  2. These are the settings I use. It usually allow for enough time to finish and clean up an event before another call without out to much down time: If you want more time at the beginning to put units on patrol, etc use this too: They can be found in /mods/(mod name)/Specs/fp_params_endless.xml
  3. Did you guys include the fire alarms script in the mod?
  4. Figured it out. Gimp doesn't give the option to export as a 24 bit, 32 bit, etc. for .tga files. If you flatten the image before exporting, it turns it into the equivalent of a 24 bit. Thanks Hoppah. Erfd
  5. I have a problem with a map texture I'm trying to import. I exported the file from GIMP as a .tga. When I try to import the map .tga, it finds it and when I try to save it as a .eft the editor crashes. Any ideas on what might cause this? The dimension are 8192x8192. erfd
  6. It would be neat if you could randomize it. A lot of times with POC/Volunteer departments there are situations where you'll get anywhere from 20 guys to two guys. It would add a unique challenging aspect of the game where you might get a structure fire, but only have four guys show up, or have a fire alarm and have 15 guys for a false alarm.
  7. In regards to strain the mod puts on the computer, is it about the same as V2? In other words, if you could play V2, should you be able to play V3?
  8. My local volunteer/poc dept has two ALS ambulances. 2 emts assigned to each 12 hours and two contract paramedics. The emts respond from home and medics are at station. I'd also feel one of the more common calls in a small town are MVAs. Most departments around me (big and small) carry extrication equipment on engines even if they have a large rescue truck. Everything varies by area, so what ever bama decides works
  9. It was on there site: http://www.feuerwehr-wegberg.de/index.php/aktuelles-menue/item/102-am-22-06-2013-wird-die-wegberger-modifikation-in-version-6-veroeffentlicht I followed a link from their facebook page (posted June 10th).
  10. Its good enough to get the point across though.
  11. It is being released on 06/22/2013 (22/06 outside US). (Roughly Translated)
  12. You can't/ don't have too. Just clear the scene. (I made the same mistake )
  13. I cannot believe how anal you guys are about the rescue truck, there is nothing wrong with it at all. It looks great. They said they will take suggestions, this doesn't mean that they have to change every aspect of the mod just to make everybody happy. In fact, its impossible to make everybody happy. Give a suggestion, if they like it they will add/change it. If they don't like it, it is their mod, not yours. Get over your selves and make your own mod if you want it to be exactly how you want it to be.
  14. Looks like a good start to the project, nice to see more people working on it.
  15. That is true if you know how to use the editor good like you or me. However, if he doesn't know how to use the editor very good yet it might be harder. ( I was answering his question above.)
  16. If you delete the main protoype for the vehicle, all doors, wheels, lights and so on will be removed from the vehicle. However, they will still be in the editor and can be re-added on to the vehicle easily under the 'childs' tab on the prototype editor. You would also have to redo all the settings for the vehicle such as type of vehicle and properties.
  17. One thing you could add is a fire chief and have the fire chief vehicle parked at a house. It common for small departments to utilize duty officer/chiefs to have a response vehicle to make sure an officer/chief is able to respond to a call and take Incident Command and give a size up as soon as possible for responding units.
  18. Some states don't allow volunteers to have lights or sirens.
  19. Its kind of funny, in Minnesota there is a Gold Cross Ambulance. I don't think they service the real Stillwater area, but funny regardless.
  20. The way I handled calling in all the vehicles in off map every time is starting a game, sending all units to the station, and then saving a game. This way, you start the saved game and all units are stationed. Just use this as your new start button for free play.
  21. Guys, I think they get the point that it could be setup different. I've seen hundreds of different setups for different volunteers from rural to metro areas. Theres so right way to represent all volunteer departments in a single mod.
