  1. I'd recommend a grass rig/wild land for fighting vehicle (like the red one in la mod). Along with that a tanker truck would be very common for rural areas.
  2. Anyone know if its possible to purchase this game in the US? There is only three choices for countries on the checkout. Never mind: For people outside of Germany, Austria, and Switerland: simmarket.com has the game available worldwide.

  4. I don't think that's an ambulance. The video is showing the different the lighting function. I believe that unit is a personnel transport from previous versions.
  5. I like it after playing the demo. It really puts you in the role of the chief and makes it feel like it. You give the crews daily assignments, manage finances, and deal with morale issues in between running calls. The demo is in German, so I couldn't get really into the game, however, I will be buying it when its released in English.

  7. Its a situational where I'm at. Typically first due will pull a line and make entry. The second due is often right behind 1st due and starts ventilation ops. If all goes right, by the time 1st due is making entry, 2nd due will be performing horizontal or vertical ventilation.
  8. It weird because I know a lot of other people (including me) have never had a path problem with pedestrians.

  10. It varies greatly from area to area. Theoretically speaking saying Harbor City is a real city, a city of that size and type of staffing typically has two approaches. One is that the engine crew and medic crew respond to fire calls together and the medic crew have gear with them to work as fire fighters on scene. This gives them a crew of five while being able to provide EMS services, etc. between times of big calls. Another approach is the that they know the second due unit is close enough to allow operations. This is common in the City of Minneapolis, where engine companies have a crew of three (Engineer, Officer, and Fire Fighter). They make entry with the officer and fire fighter, while the engineer secures water supply and lines. Then the idea is that the second due should be there by the time they make entry.

  14. I'm working on a mod right now. I'm trying to get a unit in game, but I can't get it to work. The unit is Rescue 1. I've attached the mod file if someone could look through the unit, spec, etc. folders to double check why the unit won't appear in my freeplay menu that would be great. I've followed the tutorials and compared my files to a couple other mods, but I cant get my unit to appear in the in game menu. http://rapidshare.com/files/877740294/EastpointAFB-erfd.e4mod

  16. Are fire alarms a feature you are working on for future versions? New version looks excellent, one of my favorite mods.
  17. Another thing you can do is right click on your model and convert the triangle polys into quads. It usually lowers the poly count pretty good and makes UV-mapping easier down the road.
  18. I'm lucky enough to be able to play during daytime when the server load is much lower. However, I've never been able to play past 3:00 US Central Times. I really hope they fix this quick because it is a great game under all the BS.
  19. Does it happen with any particular mods? It seems like a decent system that should be able to handle this game in a simple format. But certain mods are more demanding and may cause lag. To my knowledge I don't know any fix to this other than checking your graphic settings and screen resolution to start.
  20. What are your computer specs? Its a pretty common problem for lag to occur when many unit are selected or on screen at one time, but it is usually just temporary and playable.
  21. Another option is opening the file in Zmodeler (If you have it). Every time you save the texture file attached to the model, Zmodeler automatically updates the texture on the model.
  22. It depends, what are you changing and where are you viewing it?
  23. The size of your texture in pixels must be divisible by 512. So it can be: 512x512 1024x1024 1536x1536 (I believe this is the max size)
