  1. Awesome mod, best version so far! The only issue I have is with pedestrians, they seems to freeze in place rather than move for responding emergency vehicles. They move after I'm able to move the vehicle away, but this can be tough in tight spaces, especially with ladders/ rescues/ etc. Is there anyway to make them run out of the way like in other mods?
  2. The color of the star of life varies, although traditionally/ originally blue it is often modified to fit the design scheme of units.
  3. No, five fire fighters. Typically we will only have one explorer on per shift. We have had two before though or an explorer and a civilian rider. Our staffed station isn't very big, so anymore people would be uncomfortable. However, our new station station is almost complete and it is massive.
  4. Ya, we have four fire fighters and a battalion chief on. Two on the EMS Vehicle (non-transport) and three on the Engine company.
  5. It is possibly that cards that aren't intel can still not be powerful enough to handle the mod. What model NVIDA do you have?
  6. FDNY wouldn't be all that great. Most explorers don't have gear and most of the posts aren't based out of stations but local community buildings. You are better of at a department that gets you involved in operations and training with fire personnel if you really want to be a fire fighter. That's like my department. We are on shift with crews and get to operate as part of the crew. We train, run calls, eat, sleep, workout, etc. everything with the crew. It really is awesome for upcoming recruits like myself. It really gives 99% taste of what it is about. Can do everything except go into a total IDLH or a similar situation (ie. Vertical Ventilation, etc.)
  7. Go into your mod folder and find Montana Mod. When you click on it there should be a few files and a folder. Open the folder and cut and paste the contents of that folder into the first folder Montana Mod folder. Using the setup.exe creates one too many folders. The easiest way to install it is to copy and paste the Montana Mod folder from the download into your mod folder.
  8. Awesome mod so far! There's a lot of new units and scenery to make it seem like a small town plus the awesome station. Good job bama! I do have one problem though that is not on the buglist that I see. E2 and Brush Truck don't park in the bay when returned to station. They park in front on the station facing the station. Also the gates aren't operational. (Not sure if intended or not. They are when the game starts initially.)
  9. When you move the VOs do you select all corners at the same time and drag it as one without moving individual corners?
  10. This might help you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N5et8LMYu8
  11. Explorers is an awesome program. Its where I started and now I've just been offered a job as a part-time FF/EMT and had all my ff1, ff2, EMT, haz-mat technician, and inspector training paid for before I turned 18. I was actually on two departments. One was a volunteer and we only trained and the other was a combination full-time/part-time department as a fire student. Being a fire student is more like being a probie fire fighter in terms of what we can do which allowed me in some IDLH environments such as car fires, CO Alarms, etc. I learned so much from awesome fire fighters and am proud to have been offered a position with them and hopefully am able to give another person the same opportunity. The biggest advice I can give to other explorers and students is get involved and ask questions. When on scene do what they ask and learn protocols. They will be very impressed and treat you more like a crew member if you work hard.
  12. The only thing I don't like is when there is a tiny fire and you have to use three fire fighters with hoses to extinguish it.
  13. Did you keep them about the same size and name?
  14. Are you playing any mods or just the base game?
  15. You need to be a member of emergency-forum.de to download. It can work with any mod, but requires you to add the correct info to the script, add VOs to the map, etc.
  16. Good to see progress. I check your site everyday for updates.
  17. Save it to the desktop as em4.cfg file and then drag/replace the em4.cfg in the game folder. Its an issue with permissions for the program to access the folders. I have the same problem.
  18. Very nice! Great to see progress and a good amount of supporters.
  19. I highly doubt it would. The the reviews on it arent very good. I googled the graphic card and it came back saying "Gaming performance is therefore similar to a Nvidia ION or Intel HD Graphics graphics card. In our tests, the almost identical 6310 was only able to run low end games like Fifa 11, Sims 3 and Star Craft 2 single player in lowest detail settings fluently. More demanding games like Risen or Call of Duty series were not playable. Detailed performance information can be found here."
  20. Probably not. I translated most of the tool-tips, etc for version 5, however the problem is that the menus that pop up are actually image files. I tried to edit them, however , the developer as locked them in some way I don't know how to unlock. So unless the developer releases unlocked images or does it on his own, we cant make a full translation. Although, to be honest you don't need to really know German to play. I learned to play knowing almost no German by just messing around and watching gameplay videos. erfd
  21. Basically to respond: -You receive a page for the fire alarm. -From 6am to 6pm a chief spawns in the station. -Put the chief in the white chief vehicle. -He will automatically open the gate and unplug the vehicle -Click the radio icon when you select the unit. -Select Status 3 -Press the red arrow to send the unit to the scene. Now: -Fire fighters will be responding to the station -They will automatically run in and put their gear on -Select one fire fighter and send him to the unit you want. -He will open the gate and unplug the unit. -Select more fire fighters and send them to the unit. -Select the unit and open the radio, go status 3. -Press the red arrow to start responding. -Up on the top right, click the globe to load the scene On scene: -Once on scene open the radio for the unit and go status 4. -Empty the vehicle. A fire fighter and the captain will get out. -The fire fighter will open all doors. Select the captain and rightclick on the truck to remove the rest of the crew. -If there is a fire, select the truck and click the pump start button on the bottom menu. Its a circle and will say "Pumpen Starten" (something like that). -The pump should now be running. -Select a fire fighter with a SCBA pack on. -On his menu, you will see a fire nozzle. -Click it and connect it to the fire truck. -He will now be able to put out fires. Water Supply: -Select a fire fighter to grab a standpipe hydrant. (Looks like: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ef/Standrohr_unterflurhydrant.jpg/220px-Standrohr_unterflurhydrant.jpg&imgrefurl=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_hydrant&h=454&w=220&sz=22&tbnid=h8a14BYRjXGoRM:&tbnh=93&tbnw=45&zoom=1&usg=__IlEiaqzSrEwR5wY16CLjFCrOQe0=&docid=2rPEt-OldYOJIM&sa=X&ei=63HIUaC5AqyayQGZjIG4DA&ved=0CFYQ9QEwAw&dur=1503 ) -This will also make another fire fighter grab a hose line. -Find a little water connection circle on the ground. -Select the fire fighter with the standpipe and click on the water connection. -Once installed, select the fire fighter with the hose. -Connect to the hydrant, and connect to the fire engine. That should basically get you through the basic call. I found the best way to learn the game was to watch gameplay videos. Ask questions if you need help!
  22. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/1-emergency-4-adding-vehicles/ Try following this tutorial starting from the unit id section. It looks like the units are setup and ready to go in the editor, you just need to get them in game. Ask for help if you need it!
