  1. As much as i like the idea getting too ambitious is how many mods fail, the Wyoming county submod is a great example. Though i know little about modding, one thing i know is that making a new map is really hard! I would advise that the map remains just a idea for a while and the focus is on new units and the like. But of course this is you mod. I remain at your disposal if you want any pics of NPS buildings for the map. And the banner looks great!

I totally agree, even the missions is just a brainstorm! We have the units under control, and regardless they'll be the thing that comes out first. The rest if just fantasy for the moment, and probably will remain that for a while! :xmas: It's totally true that having all these ideas is great without method, hence I like to post a lot of screens before announcing to show real progress! :D

  2. That sounds like a great idea! Perhaps something for a later release of the mod with a new map. For example the map could be divided up into 3 or 4 different jurisdictions, Burnettown, Jackson, some other town, each would have a small police station and a small fire station. There would also be a section that would be like a National Park, a ranger station for the police station, no fire station, this could have some wood and a campground or something.

Yeah exactly, also if there are already loads of mods with separate stations like that, we could simply increase the map size and make parts of it woodland so it maybe wouldn't lag as much due to lack of buildings!

  3. I think itd be cool if you made a huge map with a few small towns and set patrol jurisdictions for the PD. Then you could have more fun with say Jackson PD rolling into Burnettown to assist at a call.

Yeah I totally agree, however I wouldn't want to make people's PCs lag with the size of a map! :xmas: However, I agree that something like that would be really cool, especially with the assists and stuff. If we figured out how to make certain accidents localised, such as farming accidents etc., then we could really get somewhere!

By the way what do you think of the banner?

  4. Wires Down, Trees down in the road, Transformer Fires, Person missing in the woods.

Seeing as you have a National Park Service patrol car, how bout' a poaching mission? I know their are deer on the map for the "protect top informant mission" haven't tried to shoot them though.

    1. More water rescues
    2. Boat fire
    3. Fire alarms

This is all really useful information thanks guys, we'll definately consider these as they don't seem too far fetched.

    alright!

Here's what I would like to see:

    Illegal Demo at the Hospital

Bank Robbery (more of them than the La Mod)

Stolen Vehicles (same, more than the La Mod)

I like the Boat Fire Idea and the fire alarms.

Oh and on the Fire Alarms, make it to where an engine has to respond and then the alarm company has to shut it off or the fire fighters have to shut it off.

I really like the Animal Poaching Idea, so it would be like a attempted homicide but only the person is shooting a deer or bear.

I will think about more things and post them.

And thanks Zach, the more ideas the better; if some get rejected, more can take their place!

    I have got several ideas.

    1. Small plane or helicopter crash.

    2. Multiple barricaded subjects 2 or 3.

    3. Drug deal you would have to catch the dealer and the buyer.

    4. Warrant, you would have to enter a home and take someone into custody, they could fight, shoot or run.

    5. Kidnapping.

We're also looking in to the idea that we can create separate scenarios, maybe even singular missions, where a specific Police Department is required. I really like that idea, like the National Park thing, but with specific PDs like Burnettown or Jackson.

  5. Is there any fire units yet? Great job on the FCV's! :D

Hey! Thanks for your interest in our Submod.

At the moment, EmergencyFan97 has been working on some EMS and Fire Department skins. However, with the updating of all of our models, I'm not sure if we'll have to keep the standard LA Mod 2.1 models, which are re-skinned in part, or move on to other models. Indeed, any of the additional fire vehicles, such as the F250, will be on newer models created by NNICO. As far as the ambulances are concerned, and EMS in general, we'll try and get some updates out for you guys, but it could take quite a while :xmas:

Great JOB RLAST! :D Keep up the good work!

    Thanks as always Zach :)

  6. awesome looking skins! :D

Thank you for your compliments sir! Glad you enjoy them, hopefully more to come soon. :xmas:

Looks wonderful. I saw on your first post about adding national agencies. If you need any help finding pictures or info of the National Park Service give me a pm, I'll be happy to help. Also are you going to add any different light bars. The ones you have on their right now are my favorite but i am sure some other people might like some variation.

Also, perhaps for the Highway Patrol Crown Victoria unit we will use a different lightbar. I completely understand what you mean, and there should be some variation when we release more units, and show you guys more stuff!

  7. Hey Mindcore,

If you want you can come work with us on the Aiken County Submod, I'll mentor you on skinning and a couple of other things Emergency-specific. Secondly, regarding the light bars and such, we have a guy on our team who's an expert on that stuff, so could probably show you a few things, and he also has a huge interest in creating a San Francisco modification so we could definitely move on to that after the development of the Aiken County Submod, if not doing both at the same time.

Zach's also practising on his lighting and such so I'm sure he could give you a few tips! If you're interested, PM me and we'll get talking.

    Regards,

    Rlast.

It would also be great to have the help of a scripter, especially since I work on smaller prop models that you could possibly work with; I can show you the basics of modelling too.

  8. Hi All,

I am currently trying to add a number of the same model of car, namely the NNICO Crown Victoria model. I understand that I need to clone it in order to have a number of separate patrol cars, however I'm unsure as to how to do this and change the textures.

Basically, I want it so I don't need to edit all the children again, adding all the doors and wheels. Is there a way I can simply replicate it then get it to change the texture? I don't know how this would be done because I only know you link your car to a model file, not to a texture file.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Rlast.
