Yeah, different states have different laws on light colors. I think I see a little of the old Aiken color scheme in the pumper there too .  Have you all considered adding a older unit too for the sake of realism? Something say 1988ish...

To be honest, no, we haven't really considered that. As we're all very busy at the moment, there's only really a limited unit pool that we can draw from.

I didn't notice that likeness actually, I guess it must have been in my subconscious!

here in Australia we have red and blue lights on all emergency vehicles,front and back

I like that engine. It would be nice to get away from the traditional red truck. I know some of us volunteers like to be creative when it comes to truck colors haha.

UPDATE - STILLWATER RESCUE SERVICE ENGINE 1

Update on the Fire Department end of things; I've created anew theme for our engines which me and Marius are currently working very hard on to get in game. This is a heavy WIP, so is liable to change; a few texture bugs exist on the images below, though some are due to perspective. My first time designing a Fire Department instead of Law Enforcement so go easy on me! 

Looks good, the explorer could use a lightbar.

As stated all lightbars are more or less changing; we've got some new ones made by Cops that are truly awesome!

I will tell you that the Crown Victoria Mammoth Lake Sheriff's Department will have either Federal Signal Arjent S2s or Code 3 21 TRs, so don't fret  Not the biggest fan of slick-tops myself!

Apologies for the lack in updates, been very busy at college and will remain to be, but will try and show you guys updates when possible. These are still WIP, but as you can see, strongly based off the Philadelphia design; which I love. Lightbars will be changed in the final version.

Any word on this been pretty quite. Just wondering as it looks awesome.

Yes, Fred is right. They both exist mainly to have a variation in the units showing up on scene and such, and to give the player more control; say if they wanted realism, the SUV would be called to areas like the lakeside, whereas the Crown Victoria might be called to the inner-town suburbs. Other than that, there's no discernible difference in the type of personnel they carry; might change the equipment so the Explorer can carry some extra things. Also, there is a possibility the SUV could be a personal vehicle, or contain a higher-ranking Medical official than the general Paramedic car.

Regarding the Star Of Life, I think red fits more in the scheme, and as erfd said, from examples I looked at it fitted with the overall scheme. However, I'll try it with blue and see how it looks, though it might look a tad odd, especially since our logo contains blue, but not the kind of blue that the star would be. (It has to be a lighter colour, in my opinion, to show up nicely)

Speaking to firefighter23, none of the lightbars are finalised yet, and that one probably won't be the final for the Stillwater EMS Crown Victoria; I'll probably make it red edges. However, the light scheme will have LEDs in the central part of the bar, not just the exterior points!

When we've added all the lights to the EMS vehicles (not my area), we'll be able to actually showcase what things will look like; unfortunately I can't say at the moment!

Introducing you all to the Stillwater EMS skin for the ambulance and one of the two flight cars; apologies for the small texture bugs and the New York posters/plates etc.

I've got a Police Skin but it's not exactly SWAT; if you wanted some competition I could put that forward, it's almost finished I guess. I'd probably be instantly disqualified for failing to meet the criterion though of SWAT so you'd win anyway 

Okay. How do i make the pictures come out nicer? My pictures always seem very matte and not awesome-looking lol

Also the pitch of the camera, i can't seem to make it it so it's eye level. It's always kind of looking down on the car

Go in to the editor and spawn your vehicle. Then press Pause Break (next to Scroll Lock) and zoom in on to your vehicle, getting the camera in to a position that you'd like. After that, take your screens with fraps or print screen etc. and edit them accordingly in Photoshop. If you don't want to edit them, just upload those straight to Imageshack and embed the images here

Ah! Come on guys, that's not the spirit   I'd be very interested to see with what you guys have come up with.

Ford Crown Victoria Model by NNICO - UPDATE

A reveal of the new fictional town services of Mammoth Lake, the mutual aid town of Stillwater. This vehicle is the Mammoth Lake Rescue Service doctor car; these will be off-map units.

Model looks good Raf.  Is that a new 2012,  or old chevy Impala model?  Boston is going with the Chevy Caprice w federal Valor lightbars.  There is not a lot of seating room from what I heard.  Good speed, truing at high speeds little rough.

Model's made by NNICO! The Wisconsin State Patrol actually use a Chevrolet Caprice as well, but due to there being no model currently available (may get down to making one), I've just gone with the Impala due to the similarities in appearance; closest thing to a caprice you can probably find.

So has work slowed down over the summer or are you all working on some sort of project?

I was recently on a week-long hiking expedition so I was away from the team for a while. However, we've picked our pace back up and I should have some updates for you soon on the EMS units.

Is there going to be a way to do traffic stops like that or did you just use an undercover car as the car you pulled over?

That scene was simply set up for the screenshot and was just an undercover car, and real traffic stops won't be a feature. However, I think that in the LA mod the chase script operates like a sort of traffic stop, issuing an 'innocent' vehicle a ticket if you try to pull it over; don't hold me to that, I'm not 100% certain.
