  1. On the DNRC question: after some brief research it looks like they both provide engines to communities and volunteer departments AND run crews/engines comprised of full time and seasonal wildland firefighters. DNRC Twitter: Gifting two engines to two separate volunteer fire districts. Gallatin County Fire managers page with information on how they utilize engines from DNRC, mutual aid with the agency, and trainings offered by the agency. DNRC Twitter. They look like they have bases in state forests/lands where their engine companies originate. I'm guessing they are the primary emergency responders within their land and respond mutual aid to wildfire and natural emergencies outside of their land. It appears they are also tasked with getting local/volunteer structural fire departments up to snuff with fighting wildland fires and acting as effective responders on large wildfire incidents.
  2. I made these the first weekend I got to University because I don't want to be devoting myself to Em4 before I really know what my work load is going to be like. Because if I pick up work in my Em4 mod now, I'll start to worry about it over my school work and want to work on it. Luckily, I'll probably be able to start working on it on the weekends. But I need to reconfigure the files because it's abysmal.
  3. My mod is driving me up the walls so I am making my own Boston submod with cheap skins and sub-par lighting to keep me entertained. All vehicles are from itchboy's American Civil Car Mod. Lightbar is by EMC Unit. Rambar is by Terrow. I'm using the Boston Skin pack in the downloads section as a base. From left to right/top to bottom: Boston Police, Mass State Police Boston Police K-9, New Environmental Police Truck (black) Boston Municipal Police (Now called Boston Municipal Protective Service), Boston SWAT Gun Car Transit Police, Old Environmental Police Truck (Dark Green)
  4. I just finished a 2 hour game and, my lord, do I hate tow trucks. I lost two because they got stuck in the railway crossings. One held up traffic on the East side of the map for 10 minutes. I tell them where to go they go in the exact opposite direction. They just like to make trouble. TL;DR: I hate the Tow Truck IA. /rant
  5. Sorry, I was using "flashing" and not "freeze" in my search so I didn't find it.
  6. It's 1:80, so I wouldn't wanna cut into it
  7. www.imgur.com/XTdCDRzh.jpg I just got this fixer-upper on the Internet. I think I'm going to break of the mirror on the left side of the truck to match the broken one on the right side. I'll probably take clay and make little bulb mirrors. I've wanted this truck since I was little and I'm very glad to have it. Now the hard part is finding a good matching engine What do you guys got?
  8. Hey Guys, When I'm in freeplay, the traffic lights flash through a rotation, (green->yellow->red), really quickly. Vehicles cannot pass through and it just creates massive traffic jams on the map. Anybody have any solution to this issue? Thanks in advance
  9. Yea, they were the same as before. I've tried tinkering with it before and set my screen so big I couldn't see it. So I guess I'll try that. And it's LA Mod v2.1, with the Boston Mod Reskins in the download sections, personal edits from me and some stuff from the NY Submod. (Personal, sorry guys...)
  10. I installed Windows 10 this morning. So far, it's a pretty dank set up. Except, when I run 911:FR. Anybody have an resolution to this? Thanks in advanced
  11. No, actually it keep basically everything except my wallpaper. I'm just an extra careful person, unfortunately.
  12. Yea, they're not. I changed it back, but if it's not effecting multiplayer I'l put it back in, because I like it much better than the original.
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyAdhMVDhk4 I'm backing up my mod/photo files now and then I'm gonna start the download.
  14. I read somewhere if we don't have the EXACT same files multiplayer won't connect. We booth bought 911:FR off steam and are using that.
  15. You guys are all life savers, thank you so much
  16. Is there anyway I could make the camera controls W, A, S, D rather than the arrow keys? It just feels much more natural now that I play other PC games.
  17. Ever since I installed the Montana mod, I have been able to zoom in much further than usual. I can zoom in further in the editor and in ever single mod I have. I have since erased the Montana mod, (I needed space, it was a great mod though), and I am still able to zoom in further than usual. I think this modification is preventing me from getting onto multiplayer. Does anybody know what file controls this and what I need to do to replace it? Thanks
  18. I'd say Body Armor is more of a juice than like an energy drink
  19. Jesus, that was 5 years ago?? I actually just pulled your modified LA snow map version of the submod off of my family's old desktop and put it on my new laptop. I remember that was always my favorite map to play on. As for this topic. You all see me come back around every few months and pop into "Modding Related Support" with a dozen questions. I recently realized my setbacks on my old computer were because I never installed the fix for windows 7. I just bought 911:FR on steam, ($5, making all my irl friends buy it), and am getting back into modding. I have a couple of projects in my que now, and I'm just trying to get as well rounded as possible. But I get it. I personally like using MS Paint for skins because then I can edit them so easily. I love seeing my own creations in game. But after coming home from work, going for a run, trying to have a social life irl, it's difficult for me to just sit in and buckle down at my computer for hours on end. Maybe not even finishing one skin in one night. I don't model. I'm slowly, like snail slowly, am reading code and trying to figure some of the basics out. I hate lights. And I hate file managing. So I get it, it's easy to take this already out of this world modification of some sort and just adjust it to fit your fancy rather than starting from the ground up. I get it's a pain in the ass and nobody wants to do it. And I hate that. I hate seeing all these damn topics in the Mod section and see a new American city and click to see it's just another submod off of the LA mod, with the NYC mod's units and Nnico's Crown Victorias. It gets old real fast. I genuinely have more fun playing my random units mod more than LA mod, because I have just the lights and siren script and that's it. The game play is the original, it's difficult and that original freeplay map is honestly a breath of fresh air after years of the LA mod's map. I get it, it's easy and it's still pretty rewarding to create your own submod. But it's not fair to the original creators if you just do that, release it, and suddenly call that whole thing your own. One of my favorite things about modding is the readme. I love it when I finish a car or something and I get to go into notepad and write down what comprised what. I love putting things together and I love to see my name on the skin, lights, and hopefully sometime in the future, the models. I always ask for permission even if the readme says I'm free to use it, because I want the original creators to see where there models are going. It's a great feeling for them to see their work in use. So, like Bama said, take the time to create your own stuff. It's a great feeling looking a folder knowing you put everything in there together and knowing you didn't just add a few things to an already existing one. Ask permission to use things. It's just the right thing to do. Plus, how do you think the creator will feel when they get a PM saying "hey, your stuff is great, can i please use it?" it'll make them feel accomplished, as they should feel.
  20. Find Body Armor, shit's delicious http://drinkbodyarmor.com/stores/
  21. If I recall correctly, there was a tutorial for skinning people, but I can not locate it. All I've accomplished so far is that I've unpacked the male cop model from the editor and all I have is the v3o file with no template.
