  1. I don't really think you can compare the transition from Emergency 3 to Emergency 4, to 4 to 5. Think about the Jump from GTA San Andreas to GTA IV, it was a drastic improvement but it was also on an entirely new engine and optimized for newer more powerful consoles. Were we able to mod GTA IV?? Um heck yes! but it took time for modders to get accustomed to the new engine and game files in order to modify them. Now from what we have seen and been told******** that is what is happening here Emergency 5 has supposedly been built from the bottom up on a whole new engine. And while this is generally a good thing no one is familiar with it, so we have no idea if current models and files will be able to be imported into the new game. Additionally we have no idea how to modify the game files and create new models and such because we haven't been able to play around with the game as of yet. So i agree with MikeyPI, we should really just err on the side of caution here until we can get our hands on the game and see what its truly all about.
  2. This has been done on a smaller scale before, but a complete update will really bring new life to the mod. I really like the units you have done so far. Keep up the good work!
  3. WTH! They delayed the game for another two weeks! They could have just added the events in a patch post release. I'm so over delays.
  4. I don't know why everyone is complaining about the specs of the game its 2014 people! If you want to play the latest pc games decently you are going to have to have a decent computer thats just the way things work. If you want to use the same console for like 8 years then get a PS4 or XBOX one. And you don't have to break the bank to get a decent computer you just have to do your research my computer meets all the recommended specs and i only paid like $600 for it. And keep in mind these are just the recommended specs so im sure you will be able to play the game, but will it look and run well? Who knows only time will tell.....
  5. Although im disappointed, i understand that releasing a finished product takes time and is the top priority. And besides we will have plenty of other things to pass the time, keep up the good work!
  6. I know this is geared more towards the fire side but i would just like to see more police calls. I always get the same call a fight or if im a lucky a pickpocket.
  7. I see, well do you have any suggestions, im just having issues when there is a large incident such as an accident or the gas explosion the cars block the intersections so the lights wont change, and i basically have to start a new game because i cant do anything. Thanks
  8. I would just like to say that is the best you guys have done so far! The map looks awesome, the buildings are just amazing and you captured the vibe of the location. The units look great and i love the crime scene tape,that may not be new but i still love it. Great work guys! I also have a question about redirecting traffic, i know you guys never add that in but if i add the command to the cars and officers will the cars redirect correctly, or is it a pathing issue?

  16. The map is looking awesome! It has everything! Have you made the paths and all that yet? I would just suggest having alot of paths so there is more traffic and it makes the map more realistic. Traffic can be a real hassle in this game so you have to kind of balance realism with what the game can handle. Now you can always adjust the traffic to your desired level, but do so at your own risk. Posts merged. Please avoid double posting in future.
  17. The map is looking good! Im sure dyson will do a great job as always, but i have 2 questions/suggestions. Will there be any skyscrapers on the map? Id prefer it not to have them as they just dont work well with the game engine IMO. Also is there going to be a highway on the map?
  18. Exactly so even if you had a tanker you would still have the issue of water because it would likely be limited as well. But if you had a large fire out in the woods or at an isolated structure you would call for units off the map or just let it burn out. We don't really know what the map looks like so we can only speculate how and if a fire could spread.

Cool story bro, but this is a game and you can connect to the trucks anywhere you are unless he uses the limited water supply script which is just a pain in my opinion. and you will have a brush truck. And i was referring to having it spawned at the station. There is a town on the map which will have hydrants so your only going to use a tanker when you have a large brush/forest fire. But thank you for proving my point.
  20. You may have a point, in one of the videos they mentioned the fan community and i believe he said the Danish where there biggest fans, i was hoping he would mention us but no go . I just dont think the game is mainstream enough in the US or even in the world outside of Europe for them to justify making different versions of the game for every Country/City. I didnt see anything about this game on IGN or anywhere else the reason i even know about it is because of this community so that should tell you something.
  21. I honestly think this whole POV is just getting too complicated, i think the first version is fine what does it matter if they have to drive there or if they spawn there? I know everyone wants this mod to be 100% accurate to a small town/ rural area but thats not gonna happen. Every town/city is going to run their department and stations differently to there is no way to replicate what everyone wants into one mod. I honestly liked the old setup with an engine and an ambulance, that seems pretty consistent with what you would see in real life. I could care less about a brush truck or the BC I never these units, and the paramedic car wouldn't even be required. As for the tanker what purpose does that serve? If its a small town they aren't going to have that many resources only the bare necessities. Everyone plays the game their own way and wants something specific and thats fine but if you want a tanker or whatever unit you want just call it on to the map or you can spawn it yourself. And if a mod doesn't have a vehicle you want then make it! I just think that all these requests and changes just slow down the development time and in my opinion kills mods, but its a domino effect oh let me just add this or maybe i want this or this person wants that in the mod etc. I think you have to keep it simple so you can release your work and make it playable for a larger audience. Look at the LA mod it doesnt have all the crazy things that the Ny mod has or some other mods but its the best mod in my opinion because it was released and improved upon and had the average player in mind.
  22. The AI behavior really has nothing to do with gameplay, thats just an improvement of the game engine. All im saying is how is this game going to revolutionize the series and push it forward???
