  1. LACoFD is replacing all the in-service Fords with the the Dodges. The squads, patrols, and the utility trucks are being replaced with the dodges and the fords are going into reserve pool. I know this because I have spoken to a firefighter from Station 33 which has had all their vehicles replaced with newer ones even their helicopter.

Dang, some of those Fords are only a few years old. Most are no older than 5-6 years. Station 33 isn't the best place to be asking about replacement equipment since their one of the busiest stations in the County.

  2. You would have to combine the "call engine" script with the "call light force" script. It's possible but it'll take some doing. You would have to add the engine command after the light force command in the script. If you wanted to do it realisically you would have the tiller leave the station first followed by the engine and then the pump bringing up the rear.

I personally think there's no need for a TF button. I also think part of the reason there is no TF button to being with is that there's no more room in the BC's equpiment panel for any more commands.

  3. Lol Valve with good customer service. Aha, nice joke. Seriously, I get better customer service from Microsoft than Valve. They don't help you in any way, just BS you. And if you complain openly, they ban you.

I never said anything about customer service. I said they support their games after release unlike Activision.

What am I smoking? Nothing. I'm just looking at a timeline of all the games and their release dates. You sir, need to Golf Tango Foxtrot Oscar.

Well I don't know where you're looking then. There has been a major Call of Duty release every year starting in 2003.

  4. If the id Tech engine is outdated, then how come it is consistently rated highly and has a new version coming out containing extremely advanced technologies? Now you're just bashing id Software. Besides, IW uses a highly modified version of said engine.

They use an engine that is based on the same engine that the original Call of Duty used. Extremely advanced technologies my ass. Frostbite 2 is way more advanced than any outdated IW 4.0 engine.

Every game publisher eventually becomes a grabasstic money whore. Just look at EA, Valve, and pretty much every other major publisher.

The difference is that they actually support their customers instead of ignoring them. Valve is one of the best companies out there. Look how much support TF2 has gotten since it's release over three years ago. They also run Steam which gives you all sorts of excellent features for free. EA gives you free map packs and dedicated servers and an open beta for BF3. Activision? Paid map packs, "dedicated" servers that only can be bought from one company, half-assed patches, poor optimization.

And CoD isn't released every year, as you so blatantly stated. Every version of CoD was released with at least a two year interval, except for 3, WaW, and BlackOps, which were developed by Treyarch, and came out at most one year after an IW game.

I don't know what you're smoking but there has been a Call of Duty title released every year since 2005 when CoD 2 came out. Hell if you want to count United Offensive you can say there has been a CoD game released every year since the first game in 2003.

  5. Call of Duty has turned into a rushed game using outdated engines that comes out each year on the same day like clockwork. Activision is trying to milk the series for as much money as they can before CoD goes the way of Guitar Hero. First PC had to pay for the map packs, not they have this "elite" service. Activision would love to charge for MP (just like WoW) if they could get away with it. It's turned into one big racket out to make money.

That picture up in post #6 says it all.

  6. i would like the usar reskined in the LA Mod to look like usar five of LAFD and the medical helicopter to look like a BELL 412 Fire 2

Just so you know the USAR currently in the LA mod is not the same model as USAR 5.

USAR 3, 5, and 88 are in the 2005 Pierces, while USAR 27, 85, and 89 are in the 1999 Pierces like the one in the mod.

  7. Guys you need to remember all this stuff is a work in progress, I am going to remove the platform as soon as I figure out how to do it without crashing my game, as I am using Hoppah's ladder from the aerial. I know guys who work at 153's, and just about everywhere else, I know this departments equipment. Like I said before though I am taking some creative liberties with this mod, and no I am not going to have every engine an ALS rig, each battalion has 2 squads, and each battalion is about 6 stations large, so for 3 stations, only one has a squad. The quint I just made does not work at any of the stations I said I'd make, but like I said, creative liberties. Also, 127's does not run a light force, they have a tiller quint and an engine, so they can both work separate calls. 127's does not have a foam tender, that belongs to 10's.

I thought they both had foam tenders.
