  2. I recently found the Montana mod after watching many YouTube videos and trying to search for a link to download this mod. Perhaps I just got lucky finding it ^_____^. Anyways, I've seen some really awesome features that I've never seen in any other em4 mod which makes the Montanna mod stand out from the rest in my opinion. I thought of some features in other mods that you could implement in this mod to give it extra detail. keep up the awesome work! - Add an option to change into EMS reflective coat. - Have the option for fire fighters to take off turnout gear. - Take out the black and yellow fire fighters turnout gear. Most volunteer departments I've seen have a tan coat and a yellow helmet. - PASS device alarm for downed fire fighters. I've figured out how to implement this already but it seems like the fire fighters in this mod can't be killed. (Hopefully fixed in the next version) - Helicopter with working rotors. - Textures for the Air ambulance crew - Ability for Fire/Police dispatch to call more specialty units. - Ability to grab an assault rifle from the patrol cars (even though the shot gun is pretty bad ass). - Possibly make a bigger fire station so the ambulance can be stationed there. - Make a garage next to the Ranger Station for a USFS fire truck - Limit the Rangers patrol path to the forest areas. - Add in a Highschool with a football field for a small town American look. (Much needed. I'm sick of seeing soccer fields haha) - Add more fire hydrants near commercial and residential areas. ( These are only suggestions ) Feel free to leave input and your thoughts.

  3. The lightbars, by their very shape, are actually modelled by NNICO last I checked. RK1000 simply did the Freedom variant and the length variants of the lightbars, so both would need to be credited. The model itself is a bit too curvy compared to the real lightbar, which is why the shading on it makes colors look cartoonish to some people. The real ones look bulkier and squarer to my eyes at least. In Em4 at least, none of those internal model bits like the LED modules matter, nor should they be modelled due to how Em4's top down view does not really allow you to see stuff up close without sacrificing your ability to respond to calls. For the colors, the ones being used rn would be a bit too vibrant, especially given Em4's weird light system that makes everything brighter than what you would see in your image editor. A more realistic color IMO would be a darker, more maroon red, and a more dirty looking blue. FWIW, EmC and Flnn have gotten the module setup, layouts and lights correct. This little change may improve the appearance further, but will warrant the reworking of all existing lightbars.

  4. I don't think he's doing much more unit/map changes at the moment, just bug fixes. But since I'm bored I'll toss in a suggestion or two. -Keep the small number of units on-map. -Make the Park Ranger have a unique skin instead of the border patrol skin -A school would be a cool idea -IDK if its even possible but it would be really neat to have different units have different patrol paths (police in the city only, sheriff's department outside the city, park ranger in forest/wild only)

Summary:For those of you who enjoy playing this game and using all the mods created by many other cool people on this forum. People have asked for me to recreate the sirens adding more California realism to the wails, yelps, and so forth. There's even the ambient affect where the sirens sound like when you hear them in a downtown area. The sirens include horn blasts and reving engine sounds to make the sounds more believable therefore a more emersed experience. Each set of sirens are correctly matched with the agency that usually uses them in the state of California. How to install itThe files need to be copied into the Mod/Los Angeles Mod v2.0/Audio/Fx/sirens folder. It will overwrite the other files. Or you can simply just remove the original files, back them up and add the new ones. That's it.Note: The files are compressed using the standard Windows Compression program. You just need to unzip them.
