Those Firemen are doing crazy ****!

Recommended Posts

In the UK they would stay on the right side of the road and make everyone move closest to edge as possible therefore making a space wide enough for a fire truck to fit through in the middle. Although that would be a lot slower.

Or if they were on a dual carriageway or a motorway they could use the hard shoulder.

Depending on the situation and the danger, it's safe enough.. As you can see, traffic in the opposing lane isn't coming flat out to a green light, therefore it is somewhat safer, and ifit's safer, and they'll get to the scene on time, then I don't see a problem. It's nothing to see a cop car change sides of the roads to get through an intersection when the four lanes on the right side of the road are packed tight.

Not exactly, they can do whatever thing that is necessary. There is no such thing as ilegal. I've seen emergency vehicles using the pavement a couple of times already, because the road was blocked, and they couldn't get through.

Plus, I always see emergency vehicles driving on the wrong side of the road.

By the way, that driver is crazy dude!

Your video was a exceprt from the discovery channel show "Mythbusters" they had a letter sent to them reguarding fire hoses. and they thought it would be boring to just ask firefighters so instead they had a little "fun"...

Yes, and they found it was impossible to life a car like that with an engine in it (might've been interior and stuff...Can't be sure) which means that the video is kinda faked.

As for that video, it would take on hell of a lot of time to get through that traffic. Just imagine, though, seeing a fire engine blazing straight towards you :P
