Trafficlight script Firestations

Hello there!

Finally, after weeks, the first version of the TLS is done.

A list what i have changed after the beta:

- Now at firestation 2

- Some little improvements on the script

- Installer!

Still working on:

- When you call a unit, trafficlights goes on red automatic

- Some other idears.

Downloads:

- EXE Installer TLS v1.0

- EXE Installer TLS v1.0 Mirror (LA Modifications Center)

When you have 911:FR, you have to change the install directory manually!

Known Bugs:

- None

Compability:

This Submod is compatible with every other submod where the following files aren't edited:

- freeplay.e4m

- dfreeplay.e4m

And regular EM4 as well. Thats why i suggested using the installer like Hoppah did, as it would be quick and easy to write to write the install script for this submod, and automatically install in the proper directory making support much much easier.

I have modified mine to work at both firestations and trigger automatically with the alarm, but its a little on the buggy side.

Glad you did this though, we've been wanting it for a long time.

I haven't ever seen traffic lights for a fire station. I don't think it commonly used in the US.

What is the point having these traffic lights? Is traffic that bad on the map?

I would just script a code where a Engine exit the station. It triggers a switch that cars will stop for 5 secs in front of station.

Traffic laws states when a Engine is exiting and crossing the fire lane. The cars will have to stop.

I have, They are setup here in Australia for stations that have access to/from a main road. So when they receive a turnout, the station system triggers the lights to go red upon the opening of the bay doors.

But, as you said, they aren't commonly used in the US, but that doesnt mean it can't add to the game.

Well i have seen them plenty try living in a big city the station down the road has one we also have the red stobe on traffic lights at busy intersections when an engine/ambulance approches ALL lights turn red for 3 min.

Well my point is that... Is this traffic light thing is for fun or making it being a official add-on to another mod?

Also, I would do research on these lights for ant realism.
