I am considering making a new mod completly, I dont have zmodeler yet but I am quite good with those types of programs. I am looking to make a mod based on NYC or Atlanta. I would have to create new models aside from Hoppahs to make it look like the FDNY or Atlanta Fire. I could use some help making a map also. Let me know If you are intrested.

I think you should definately do a Atlanta mod, instead of NYC, seeing how there is already a NY mod underway, and it is looking quite promising. Plus I noticed Georgia, so, I think you would be better at that. Mods always fit better when someone from the team is from the state or even better, the city... Look at the LA mod, and MikesPhotos, very realistic, and very good, right?

That's my 2 cents, anyways, good luck, and if you get stuck, PM and I can try to help. I'll see what I can do :)

*EDIT* had to change it, got the wrong Mike in there!

^I some what agree with newfoundking. However if your interested in a NYC mod, then why not try to lend a hand to the person or persons involved, reducing work load for everyone involved and hopefully speeding up the process. Then perhaps some of the people involved with that will help when its all said and done and hopefully speed things up for your mod as well. ;)

Just my 2 cents.

Well actually, the problem is that Hoppah doesn't feel comfortable allowing Bama to release the NYC mod since it kind of piggybacks off of all his models, scripting, etc.

So if you were to make the models, and Bama adjusted his skins a bit... Then find someone who can do a little scripting and maybe try to stumble through a map, you'd be golden.

One idea I've had for a NYC mod, make many little fire stations with only an engine or an engine/truck, then you only need the "send nearest unit" command for the Batt Chief. And the trucks just automatically return to their own station, no confusing things where it returns to a closer station or something.

I've tossed together a bunch of ideas, I won't throw them out here. If you want, just PM me.

It actually is not that hard to make a fire engine model, really all you have to do is learn to play connect the dots, UV MAPPING is what most of us despise to no end... Z1 generally if you can get past the conversion problems (yes they are quite severe) has a relatively low learning curve and unlike cars/suvs and trucks fire engines tend to share the same basic "shape" overall for the cab, the back ends can usually be done using boxy designs, especially in america... I know there are not enough tutorials, but those of you that can reskin should be able to pick up models pretty quick since the hardest part is UV mapping, the modeling part is just patience and practice, if you don't have time to kill you really should not even try to build models. It is good that everyone shows interest but reskins are relatively fast, I can take the LA mod and reskin the thing to be NYC with alterations as necessary relatively fast, to build new models to fill the needs as necessary takes some time, which is what Hoppah wants people to do, he does not want ya'll to rebuild perfectly good models, that would be unreasonable, he just wants you to make models where they need be, if ya'll need to borrow a model or two that are common I am sure that would not be a problem but borrowing the whole mod and reskinning it is a bit much considering how much time goes into every model.

Squad 4 ( Atlanta's Heavy Rescue) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...d_4_18.jpg.html

Paramedic Engine 15 (One of Atlantas Busier Engines along with Engine 6) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...e_15_4.jpg.html

Divison 1 (A simple re-skin on hoppahs crown vic would work for this) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...on_1_2.jpg.html

Paramedic Supervisor 1 (PS1) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...or_1_4.jpg.html

Battalion 3 http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...on_3_1.jpg.html

If anyone ever finds out how to make a mid mount or tiller, I would ,make Truck 17 and Truck 29

T17 http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...k_17_2.jpg.html

T29 http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...k_29_2.jpg.html

(All of Atlanta's trucks are tillers, except t25, t26, and t29 which are all mid mounts.

Costomer Service 5(A rehad/victim support truck) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...ce_5_1.jpg.html

Air 7 http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...ir_7_6.jpg.html

GSAR 6 (1 of 6 metro atlanta Heavy Heavy Rescues) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...ta_6_2.jpg.html

Atlanta uses Grady EMS so here is an ambulance http://fulton.ga.scanamerica.us/modules.ph...;orderby=titleA

Most of Atlanta's Engines are Paramedic Engines and have an EMS logo on the side but The BLS ones look like this: http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...n_16_4.jpg.html

The Hartsfield Jackson Int. Airport Trucks

Yellow 9 (Bad Ass) Lol http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...ow_9_1.jpg.html

Oshkosh Striker http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...010040.jpg.html (1 of 10)

Atlanta's Hazmat is squad 4 pretty much but they have 2 other small hazmat trucks

Decon 1 (Ulgy) http://nycfire.net/gallery/Guest/sreilly/a...on_1_2.jpg.html (Rarley Used)

Deklab County is in the metro atlanta area, they are home to the busiest Hazmat in the united states in 2008, Hazmat 19, dekalb also has hazmat 20, if there is a large hazmat incident in the metro atlanta area, they are called.

I just listed fire for now but PD will be next.
