Maybe on the lowest settings(atleast for GTA IV, not to sure about the others). When it comes to EM4/911FR, the games 5+ years old. Just about anything you buy today should play it and the LA Mod fine, now when you had light packs, then it is another story. If you really need a PC, stick with something like a Dell or HP, and dont but into this iBUYPOWER crap. The video card in that build, not to mention the craptastic parts, is well craptastic. Thats video card is about as low end as you can get. The video card I bought when I built my first PC about 2 maybe 3 years ago, was like 5 times better, if not more.

If I were you I would try to squeeze out an extra $50, round it off to $700 and go for a custom built pc you put together your self. I am pretty sure GTA IV is the standard to go by here in terms of system deman, and a $700 build will play GTA IV, i would guess on medium settings. You nor going to get the highest settings possible on a $700 build but with a prebuilt, you could probably get by with upgrading to a video card latter this year that would be able to play GTA IV on high settings if that what your looking for. Dont get me wrong, a $700 build should play GTA IV smoothly, just not as detailed as it could be.

You'll have to run most games at the lowest settings. I couldn't even max out Mafia II with a GTX 460 1GB with PhysX on.

I can run maffia II with a Nvidia 9800GT-Top 512MB (times)X2(SLI mode) incb. with Intel©core2duo 3,0Ghz and 4GB DDR2-800 HyperX Memory(Kingston)

on medium/High details(DirectX11, Creative sound DirectX11 on a Fatality MB)

Lag can happen,..it is very depending on a lot of things.

Settings, Free memory, Free memory on your GFX card and so on.

If you are playing MP, the connection and speed of your internet will also matter is you have lag or not.

The free memory is depending on what is running on the background of windows while you play a game(Virus scanners, Fire-walls, Codexs, Drivers, toolbars, Spybot searches, Host's and so on...

So really no telling if your PC will lag any of those games.

The specs of the pc you shown are very close to be minimum, so yes there is a big change that a game will lag, or have a low frame rate, but this is not a given item, with tweak programs you can increase your speed and so on,..

But that is a bit more advanced...if you overclock you can also decrease lag, speed up your Frames Per Second(FPS)

About 30FPS is enough for smooth game play(as a video camera makes 30frames per second to make a movie).

For games specially shooter and first person shooters play better with 40 to 60 frames per second.

you could download a benchmark tool; Aquamark for example and see/test your specs and see your frame rates test at different settings(resolution, graphics).

higher scores will mean beter game performance, low scores will mean worser game performance.

you can see the site for the score levels, and what games will run nice at what score and so on.

Before you "Benchmark" your pc, be sure to have all your drivers up to date, DirectX up to date(and best for your card, don't use DirectX9 on a DirectX10 card (or even worse) DirectX10 on a DirectX9 card.

I don't know how you're running DX11 with 9800 GT SLI. None of the 9-series cards support DX11.

What operating system are you getting on that system. 2 GB is find if window XP. But for vista or windows 7. Well you be very short on memory.

Any time i spec a system I get 2gb for windows XP (it can not use more)

But for windows 7 I never go less then 3gb. If it 32bit os no point in going over 4gb as it can not use more then that.

Since when? It has nothing to do with your OS version. You pretty much said it your self, it is about what architecture your versions of windows uses, if its 32 bit or 64 bit.

Speaking of which, when buying/building a PC today, no reason not to go with a 64 bit OS.

Back in the day, 64 bit support was a selling point on many processors. Nowadays, any processor you buy is 64 bit. I believe W7 enterprise can support up to 128 GB of RAM. Theoretically, a 64 bit OS can support about 16 exabytes of RAM, but obviously that's impossible to do.

If you have Win7 directX11 is default directX on your system.

If you have a DirectX10 card, you will still run Direct11.

But the important specs that make DirectX11, DirectX11 will not be available to you.

I had the wrong amount list a 32bit system can not use more then 4gb of memory. That is an Operatiing system limit. Says who?
