I don't know if its possible, so don't yell.Hoppah, is there anyway of bringing back the EM3 missions into EM4? It looks like they are a bit more challenging then the ones in EM4. With all do respect, excellent job, but I never got to play EM3 and it would be cool if there is a way of bringing back the old missions in EM3 to EM4. Steve. Newfoundking Posted March 12, 2010 Report Share Posted March 12, 2010 Well most of the things can be recreated in Em4 missions, it's just a matter of remaking the maps, and rescripting the missions... Mind you it will be much easier than having nothing at all to work with and having to try and make everything up from scratch, however it will not be an easy task, and you would not be able to achieve a complete transfer.. Things do get lost.. One thing I wanted to start a while ago was remaking every mission from the three emergencies prior to the current one, as well as convert the Em3 missions to Em4. However it got pushed aside half because I was busy with life, half because it was a large task, and I didn't have the resources to do it. Guest Francis Posted March 12, 2010 Report Share Posted March 12, 2010 This will be harder than all of you think. Emergency 4 doesn't have the features Emergency 3 provided. EM3 provided separate doors and other such things that can be really useful game-play speaking. Emergency 3 missions had a lot of these small features to make it look good and actually work. Emergency 4, which has no way to reproduce this, will not work with that. It's sad but it's like that. I also miss the features that EM3 had, but what can we do. If I recall right... the first mission of whatever game I played it was a basic car wreck on a two lane highway in what looked to be the country. You'd have to just redirect traffic and save a few people. Then I remember there being something about a search and rescue where you had to chase a person down and find another. All very simple, but I was really young so it was difficult for me. I've since then lost the game... My point... were there any good missions on number 1 to even recreate? Hoppah Posted March 14, 2010 Report Share Posted March 14, 2010 It's not possible unless you rebuild each mission manually yourself. EM3 and EM4 are two seperate games and no add-ons of eachother. EM3 coding is different. For example, the map formats are .e3m while in EM4 they're .e4m. Same thing for the prototype files (.e3p and .e4p) and you cannot convert them. But I don't have next ideas...PS: in EM4 LA mod are two missions from EM3 La mod and that is "protect the president" but now is named "VIP Escort". And second is "Police chase ends in tragedy".
