Not through schools.... I mean through the law enforcment agencies. I don't care about that though, I want him to prove the blue on blue and being a cadet does not teach you about everything about 9/11.

You (according to your profile) are also 14. Do you know everything about 9/11? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he never said he knew EVERYTHING about 9/11 and the stuff he's put out (about 9/11) is accurate.

@Britisharmycadet- I am still irritated you threw out that the American military shoots its allies. If you're referring to the incident where the USAF pilot fired upon a British convoy, then get your facts straight. The convoy had not been announced to allied troops, so when the pilot radioed in, he was told that there were no friendly forces in the area. If you REALLY want to put blame on someone, put blame on whatever Brit dropped the ball in communicating their operations with everyone else.

Give me another instance when the Americans committed fratricide and I'll reply with an instance when the UK did the same thing

I know I don't know much about, but I don't act like I do either. But still I'm also pissed about the blue on blue. You say it like they try it on purpose.

I'm tempted to start taking sides, just to bring about a quicker end to this argument-which seems to have degraded into a profane 'battle' of sorts-but I won't, because that's not how I operate. Let's try to remain civil towards one another as much as possible-there's no need for name-calling, derogatory statements or remarks, or profane comments here.

I guess I'm confused about what you're pissed about. If by blue on blue, you mean fratricide, then yes. It did happen. It was the first fratricide we had in a long time and it has been for a while I think.

You say it like they try it on purpose.

I guess I'm also confused as to what you mean there

I think erfd started talked about BritishArmyCadets again and it wasn't directed at you. Anyway, anyone notice how whenever he triggers a debate of sorts he doesn't come back to respond like the freeplay map thread.

If you ever watch the news, it will say how they were killed, and sometimes its US GCAS Planes that cant drop there bombs on target

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8260060.stm if you look down the incident column youll see some USAF Blue on Blue incidents

Here is an Example of US GCAS stupidity

Name: Wigley, Jonathan

Rank:Marine

Age: 21

Home Town: Leics Melton Mowbray

Regiment:Royal Marines 45 Commando, Zulu Company

Cause Of Death: "Friendly fire"

Coroner ruled that human error was partly to blame, after Marine Wigley was hit by gunfire from a US F-18 jet

British troops killed two Danish soldiers by "friendly fire" during an operation against the Taliban in Afghanistan, British and Danish defence sources disclosed yesterday. They fired missiles over the heads of the Taliban hitting a small Danish compound more than a mile away

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2007/nov/27/military.world

How about that, not only did they miss the Taliban, but were so off target that they hit a friendly encampment over 1 MILE AWAY

It says that they were launched by Javelin AT Missile, they playup sometimes, they are heatseeking and f you dont hold the "Lock On" for long enough, if you fire it it will automatically change target to the other heat source, RPG-7's are better for not automatically going somewhere else but are not as effective as Javelins

Do you even know what you're talking about? Javelins are a very user friendly weapon.

Electronic arming and fusing, called Electronic Safe Arming and Fire (ESAF), is used. The ESAF system enables the firing and arming process to proceed, while imposing a series of safety checks on the missile. ESAF cues the launch motor after the trigger is pulled. When the missile reaches a key acceleration point (indicating that it has cleared the launch tube), the ESAF initiates a second arming signal to fire the flight motor. After another check on missile conditions (target lock check), ESAF initiates final arming to enable the warheads for detonation upon target impact

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FGM-148_Javelin

In 14 year old language, that means there is a rigorous safety checklist before the warhead actually detonates. That means YOU (not the weapon) have to screw up BIG TIME in order for it not to hit your target.

After engaging one enemy position, the Apache fired upon another position which the crew believed to be held by enemy forces. It would appear that the British forces were mistaken for the enemy and as a result three members of the patrol were seriously wounded and six more were classified as walking wounded

There's one where your Brits fired on themselves. How about that?

In an open front war, fratricide is inevitable. While we try to keep constant communication with one another, there are times where communication breaks down and people get confused. You sit there and say the Brits are better because the US commits fratricides. Well, guess what, your guys do too. As does any other country that has experienced war at one time or another. When fratricide happens, it can be whittled down to one of three things :

1. Human error

2. Intel error

3. Pure accident

So cut the punk routine and get back to topic that you started

IM NO PUNK, i case you did not know, im in the ACF, which is part of the British Army, and i do have an idea of what youre going on about. :1046276160_schildbacktotopic:

You're 14. I don't have much idea of what goes on in your country, but I'm almost positive that you're just in something similar to JROTC or Boy Scouts or something.

EDIT:

Although sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and being very similar in structure and activity, the ACF is not a branch of the British Armed Forces,

I'm gonna say this topic should be closed. All its doing is causing trouble. We've already established that a maw deuce will not be mounted on the HMMWV's in the game. End of discussion

The ACF is nothing like the Scouts, Scouts dont go to the desert hundreds of miles away and go on patrol with SA80's and get to Shoot them, and im NOT 14

And neither you do. All the ACF teaches you is how to safely handle, clean and shoot them. This is just like what JROTC and the scouts do

As to who I am, let's just say I'm a new member who's trying to work towards a friendlier and more respect-based forum. And no, I'm not trying to gain favor by doing this.

On a side note, I've noticed what you mean.

Did the National Guard Louisiana use weapon mounted vehicles during their past few hurricanes? I'd not assume they'd be loaded, but more as a sign of force to scare potential criminals? Also, was the Texas National Guard involved in Louisiana during all this?
