  1. Unfortunately no dice on my end, it just crashed to desktop when I copied the files. I tried deleting the map files in another for the same reason and it worked, but after several attempts with the Boston Mod still not luck, which is incredibly frustrating since someone finally released a mod representing my hometown.

  2. Hey guys, I hate to be that guy because I think this was answered already but I've been searching for a bit and couldn't find it. What exactly do you do to get the default freeplay map instead of the Manhattan-based map? I want to say it was the freeplay.eft but that hasn't worked for me so far, it just crashes to desktop.

  3. Thanks Gunswat, I've been playing EM4 for so long and I'm from the area, so when I saw that a mod finally came out for Boston but that it couldn't be downloaded, I was so annoyed

  4. I hate to be the one to do this, especially as someone who's been on the forums for so long but I haven't been able to download  FInn Rescue's Boston Mod from any of the links throughout and the topic is locked. If someone could just post a working link I'd be greatly appreciative.

  5. I love the updates so far, this was one of my favorite mods of the past few years and I'm glad to see it still alive and quite well. I have two really small suggestions for consideration, but overall it looks amazing so far. I remember someone saying a few pages back that the ladder looked a tiny bit off, and in my opinion I think it comes in part from having the "#" on the side as I don't recall ever seeing that on the side of a fire truck. My other suggestion would be to make the lights on the volunteer/auxiliary police units red and white as opposed to amber, as I know a few civilian police units both in the US and Canada use that and in my opinion it looks pretty cool.

  6. Hey all, I apologize if this question has been answered at least once before but I have one for our members in the UK. Does the fire service generally respond to accidents without entrapment but with injuries? It seems from all of the videos and TV shows that I've seen that if there are only minor injuries or if the police get there long before any other services do, that only the ambulance service responds. I suppose it's logical from a fiscal standpoint, it just seems quite different from here, where the fire department (with the exception of places in NY where the ESU handles some accidents and places such as NJ where rescue squads exist) respond to almost all accidents with injuries regardless of entrapment.

  7. Glad to see a Boston mod out there, it's definitely a solid mod all things considered. One note about the lights, for the police cars they would have to be all blue and white in the front, the only car I've ever seen with front reds was on Martha's Vineyard. Other than that, I agree with Flynn that the choice of map was a good one and I was especially pleased to see Massport represented with R1

  8. There were a few of these in Moscow, but as you can see they have a different livery from what you were planning on using. It looks like the E124 has a Hella lightbar just like the Latvia one, so you wouldn't even have to change that as long as you just changed the left hand color to red.

  9. What year are you planning on setting the mod in? I know that the GAI in the late 80's/early 90's used the BMW E34 and Mercedes W124 (both of which are featured in the Latvia Mod), I can find some photographs if you'd like

  10. I'm also quite a fan of the stop sign on the back of the GAI car, is it going to be used as directional lights? and do you plan on adding VAI to the game as well as GAI, seeing as you've added military vehicles?

  11. I know the ambulance in the district closest to me went over to the new International chassis, but I also have yet to see new explorers. BPD uses SUVS essentially only for the K-9s or special units, but I have seen more and more of the MBTA Explorers with federal signal valor bars like BPD is now using so I'd be interested to know whether they use fedsig sirens as well.
