  1. I would assume that they will either release a patch and/or a new version of the mod rather than try and add each new model to the first version of the mod, because then we'd never see a finished version of the mod.
  2. They have aesthetic differences (lights, general look of the cab, etc.), and this team has show time and time again that they are committed to realism, such as when they decided to put the segrave muauraders to the mod, and like I said, FFW Tut and the rest of the team can decide what they wanted to do, I was just sharing information. A) The lights on both rigs are led rotators from Federal Signal, as has been discussed many times in this thread. B) FFW Tut went to NYC, if I'm not mistaken, back when they first started the mod which was what, 3-4 years ago? Both the contracts for the Ferrara Ladders and Rescues are very recent, within the past year or two, and none of them have been delivered yet, they are still at the factory, so I don't know how FFW Tut could have talked to someone in NYC about them when they probably hadn't even put out the contract to bid yet.
  3. I am putting this up here because I feel that it is on-topic since the mod makers may want to include this into their mod, but at the same time, I'm not saying that they have to include this in this version or any other version of the mod, because they have already worked hard enough and created an amazing mod. For those of you that are interested in FDNY apparatus, the new Rescue 5 is basically set for delivery and the first of the new rear mount ladders is being painted and having the finishing touches put on it. You can see more pics of both rigs at http://www.ferrarafire.com/CustomerSupport/InProduction/InProduction.html
  4. The dispatch screen won't be, at least that was the way they described it the last time they talked about it, it might not be in the mod anymore.
  5. The FDNY calls them Halligan hooks, they've been branded NY Hooks by manufactures, ETC, to sell more so in the interest of realism I would say leave it Halligan hook. With all this extra stuff being added to the mod (i.e. mdt, pump panels, dispatch screen), will having a second computer monitor be helpful for the mod or not really?
  6. It's the metal panel between the cab and the body compartments on an engine where all the gauges and controls for the engine's pump are located.
  7. You won't be able to load another mod once you've loaded the mod, you'll have to restart the game and load which ever other mod you want to play, but that's how it been with every other mod.
  8. I'm not sure because I believe that em3 used e3p files for the model prototypes and em4 uses e4p files, but I don't know, maybe, the mod was also in German.
  9. he occasionally posts something every few months that hints he's working on a mod, or more specifically and Emergency! mod, but he hasn't posted since the summer and the most of the mod we've seen is a model of a squad and engine 110. He doesn't have a topic he's been updating or anything or officially announced he's making the mod. I also have no idea why this topic got restarted after almost 5 months of being dormant.
  10. Each Rescue Co carries an inflatable boat and the members are trained as divers.
  11. But not all departments operate that way though, for instance, FDNY runs a truck and engine on each MVA, no squad or rescue, and for tech rescues, it depends on what type of rescue it is as to what company responds. That why we need a tutorial.
  12. We just kinda gave up and accepted OCD's anwser as right since randomperson wasn't logging on and telling us if we were right or wrong.
  13. I believe they mean your tech emergencies, i.e. broken railroad crossings, broken traffic lights, ETC.
  14. Okay, this is getting kinda stupid and the game is dying out while were waiting for Randomperson139, since he hasn't been on the site in over a week. Can anyone else tell us if theocd is right?
  15. The NYPD stopped issuing revolvers around the mid 90s and switched to your standard pistols. Any officer who originally was certified on the revolver though can re certify on the revolver to use as their service weapon if they want though. In terms of service weapons the NYPD uses a combination of the Glock 19, SIG P226 DAO, and the Smith & Weston model 5946.
  16. No, not all NYPD ESU dectives are EMTs or medics, since the NYPD doesn't do anything with medical calls besides crowd control, taking reports ect.
  17. I've never seen or heard of that but if you could find pictures or something, it would be a great idea to add to the mod.
  18. Depends on where you go, FDNY doesn't but some departments do have pre-piped waterways on straight sticks.
  19. No FDNY trucks have pumps on them. The tower ladders are capable of receiving a supply line from an engine to supply their master stream, but don't have a pump and the straight sticks and tillers don't have any capabilities to pump or receive water at all.
  20. Are we assuming that Shadylasse is right, cause he did say where it's from, and if not, then can we have a hint.
  21. when did they show us an installer? they showed us the start up screen for the freeplay, but they showed us that a long time ago, so it doesn't mean they're anywhere near done, although they could be.
  22. I believe they just included it so you'll be able to hear it for realism, but other than that, I don't think it has any effect on the game.
  23. The mission choices were on the picture of the start up screen, you could only choose groups of emergencies, i.e police emergencies, fire emergencices, ect, rather than individual specific missions.
