thank you, this was my first time taking photos of planes while I was spotting them and also my second time I was really spotting planes

what do you mean? 

To make them flash you have to adjust the flash frequency to at least 3

open several mods and models to see how they made the flash lights

Sometimes I use CTRL to zoom more in (using also the middle mouse button to zoom in at the same time)

You have to uncheck the "fake light" in the editor

Polygons are pretty easy

choose (when you add a light) "Polygon" than you can click on "create new" and make a square on the vehicle now you have square points 1,2,3,4

you can edit the color with the R, Y, B and of course place the Polygon where you want it in on the unit

Hold SHIFT to move the all the points at 1

Hold CTRL to move all the points up or down

okay for the people that got a CTD everytime after loading the freeplay map remove your logfile.txt

well this works for me, 'cause I removed my logfile to see what causes the crash but now it accidentally works
