  1. This is a pretty good suggestion. I am currently working on the Dutch Emergency Services mod and I will attend to this. I won't promiss anything but I will take a look and see what I can come up with

  4. Hello everyone, I've got a few problems with creating a mod and I hope someone is able to help me out. So here are my issues: 1. I made some custom sirens. The file extension is .ogg so that should be fine and the name of the file and the folder it is in is correct. The game is using the sirens when I send out a (police) car which is supposed to do so but there is a problem. Normally you'd only be able to hear the sirens when your camera is focussing on the car using it but I can hear them all over the map of the game. So everytime I dispatch a police car and I am still focusing on the event I can hear the sirens clearly up untill the car arrives at the scene. It is also with the same loudness everywhere so the game is kinda using the siren as background audio. There was another member on the forum who had this issue and he resolved it but never stated how he came up with the solution. This member doesn't seem to be around here anymore so I created this new topic. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution: make sure the .ogg file is saved as a mono audiofile instead of sterio and you should be fine. Works like a charm now! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Currently I am busy with reskinnig some vehicles (Dutch Emergency Services). The problem is that the developer uses textures which get copied from one side of the car to the other side. I can only skin the right side of the car and this is automatically being copied to the left side of the vehicle. Because of this the text on the copied site is mirrored and the stripes I am using are incorrect. The Dutch police uses Blue stripes on bottom and Red stripes on top on one side and Red stripes on bottom and Blue stripes on top on the other side. Because it is being copied both sides use the same striping array at this time. Now my question is if there is something I can do in the editor to mirror the faulty side so the text is displayed correctly and if I can get the striping correct. If not (which I would fully understand) would it be possible to load the car model in Zmodeler (or some other 3D software) to re-map it and get skinnable textures for both sided independently? I hope you understand my problems and questions and someone knows the answers.

  7. @Multibullets, I will see what I can do for you I'll try to get my hands on those ambulance sirens (y) @Ruben Volcke, Thank you for your appreciation. Here is a little update on the progress: The police car is nearly done. As we speak it is completed for 90% but there is a small problem which isn't an easy solvable one. The texture which I use on the left side of the car is automatically being copied to the other side. This causes an issue because the word "politie" is spelled backwards because I am not able to mirror it. This is a problem which isn't solvable at this time I am afraid. Also the striping is incorrect on this faulty side as it's a copied one from the side with the blue stripes on the bottom and the red stripes on the top. The other side should have red stripes on the bottom and blue stripes on top so this is pretty annoying but I am trying to come up with a solution for it. I also started working on the outfit for the police officers which is coming along nicely. I'd say I am at about 50% with the outfit so it isn't done yet. That being said I'd like to show you the progress I made so far This screenshot was taken in the editor but it looks much better in-game. I'd be happy to hear what your first impressions are as release is coming closer.
  8. @Multibullets, Thanks for your question regarding this modification. As of now my original post has been updated stating all content you can expect in the near future. Dutch sirens are definitely on the list. The first police car that's coming will have the new soundfile attached to it and the siren will be used by every law enforcement vehicle once you activate the mod. New sirens for the fire department and for the ambulances are coming as soon as the first vehicle is released in the specific unit type. Would be cool if I can give you a firefighter vehicle and an ambulance in the next update to get you started with a Dutch unit of all three departments.
