  1. Itch, you wizard haha. That's incredible. Never thought I would see the day where this would be possible in an Emergency game
  2. Haha, that'd be really cool, but nah, I just now found out how to move objects vertically, so I thought i'd do that to make a pretty nice thumbnail.
  3. This is seriously one of the best mods out there. Map looks gorgeous. Movement system is fantastic. It's very well done. Only problem I've encountered is the traffic density may be just a tad too high. Easy fix, but I've found it to be quite difficult to deal with some calls due to traffic getting stuck in some areas or backing up naturally. Other than that, superb work. Watch me fanboy about it here:
  4. People, here's a 1.5 download link. https://www.mediafire.com/?wq0cw33uhxnfy51
  5. Hey guys, A lot of people on my channel have been asking me for download links to mods, which I almost always supply in the description. Lately, people have been saying they can't find a link to a lot of mods. From a quick look, the downloads people have found to be broken are all hosted on MEGA, so it looks like MEGA might have done something to promote people to buy their new desktop paid application bullcrap. So mod creators, if you hosted your mod on MEGA.NZ, you probably want to check on it. Thanks for reading and have a good day. -Mike
  6. Completely understandable. You did the right thing by asking. Nothing to be sorry about.
  7. I don't have anything against private mods, if you edit a mod for yourself - great. If you go and distribute it after that, then it becomes an issue. I've seen some of these reskins be "private" and they then give out copies via pm. That defeats the whole purpose of it being Private.
  8. First and foremost, I am by no means trying to start drama or anything like that. I'm simply trying to state MY OPINION. So, if you haven't noticed, a lot of people have recently tried to get their start on modding by reskinning the mayberry mod. And by a lot I mean A LOT. Oh, so they're just reskinning the mayberry mod? Whats so bad about that? The problem is, most of the time these people will try to call it a full mod. Reskinning is NOWHERE close to a full mod. I understand that reskinning takes time, but compared to other stuff like modelling, scripting, etc, it's a piece of cake. AND a lot of the time people want to be treated like they made a full mod. This is because a lot of people that play this game don't know how mods are made. I'm not here to say you can't reskin the mayberry mod, i'm here to ask 2 things: 1. Stop calling it a full mod. Most of the time what you are doing is a SUBmod. Call it accordingly. 2. Keep your reskins private. (Giving it to people via dm is NOT private) I've gone and done some looking, and i've found 4 released or finished private Mayberry Reskins that have been handed out in the past month or so. Also had a quick look at the mod development/concepts forum and theres a couple more being worked on. This is how modding communities die. After the bunch of stuff that happened earlier, and now we're getting the same mod over and over and over again. There are still people out there that are working hard on their work, and I thank those people very much. I get that a lot of the time people want to play a mod thats set in their hometown, so they reskin like this. Great. I get it, it feels really cool to play as your local fire/ems/police. But if everyone reskinned like this, the mod section would be flooded with tons and tons of Mayberry submods. It's been bugging me because people have been requesting me to play these submods on my channel, and I have refused because its literally just the mayberry mod. If I wanted to play the mayberry mod, i'd just play the actual mayberry mod. And at the end of the day, the credits on these reskins should be "Made by the Mayberry mod team w/ reskins by ______." ANYWAY, that's my 2 cents. I don't normally do stuff like this, but after thinking about it for a while i've decided I needed to get this off my chest. Thank you for reading.
  9. As a huge amount of people have already said, VERY nice job on the lighting.
  10. I do! I'm garbage and haven't even touched the online, but I do!
  11. Exceptional job so far. Everything looks GREAT!
  12. It's on life support. I wouldn't say it's dead completely, but there is some serious work needed to be done in order to keep it living. Like NFK said, we ask for simple things that 16tons ET should be more than capable of doing, and in EM5 they focused more on graphics than gameplay. Most games nowadays are starting to realize this, but gameplay > graphics always. They didn't add enough content to really say that it was completely different from the last game. Take GTA V as an example. GTA V did so well because not only are the graphics amazing, but they added a TON of new things and features. As an example, if GTA IV = EM4, What 16tons ET did was create a new ENB. A good ENB at that, but people aren't gonna pay $60 for an ENB. In EM5s defense, it did attempt to change the game up. However, it didn't add much, and what it did add was things that take away from the gameplay (Automation). While it is nice, it just means the player doesn't have to play the game nearly as much as in EM4. EM5 will die. I think it's a little too early though. Mostly up to 16tons ET or the german magicians modders (German because they're the only ones who were explained to how to use the editor..) to give EM5 an advantage over EM4. So for now.. Life support.
  13. I joined, I just haven't had the time to get on the TS. Apologies, will be on eventually!
  14. This just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work!
  15. Looks like you had nice headway. Like the look of the FD as well! Great job!
  16. 1. Open your file directory. You can do this by finding your desktop icon, right clicking, and selecting 'open file location'. 2. Find the 'mods' folder. You should have one. If you don't, seek further help in the technical support forum of this site. 3. Open the .zip you downloaded of the Montana mod 2.0.1. It should have a folder in the .zip. *NOTE: You need Winrar or 7zip to open a .zip file.* 3.5. Open the folder. Go to the mods folder of the zip. You should see a DIFFERENT folder called Montana 2.0.1. 4. Drag the folder in the .zip into the 'mods' folder in the EM4 directory. 5. Close and launch your game. If you did it right, it should show up. Don't panic if the game freezes after you try to load it in the modification menu of the game. It will eventually load. PM me if you have any more problems! You can install almost any mod this way.
  17. There are very few mods for EM5 so far, and the ones that are out modify the original game, and don't add new content. With that being said, the forum post should have instructions on how to install the mod. If it doesn't say on the forum, there is likely an installation guide, usually in a notepad file. You can find the list of mods for EM5 here: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/forum/128-mods/ It's very rare that a mod will be installed and not be able to be uninstalled, but I haven't looked at the EM5 mods and how they are set up, so it varies. Things that overwrite game files will be unable to be undone. If new files are added, it should be able to be undone by deleting those files. (Don't take my word on this though. ) Whenever there is a new topic posted or update, it will appear here. Since you are relatively new, Welcome to the forums!
  18. I believe this was meant to be posted in the EM4 section, but ended up here. A mod will probably move it to the correct location when they have a chance. We've seen a lot of LA mod reskins, but great things start as LA mod reskins. Good luck.
  19. Oh wow, I missed the release of the patch. Gotta stop playing so much Civ 5 ;-; EDIT: Played a little bit, and WOW is it good. I think I might play it more than I play Civ 5. And that's a lot.
  20. In chrome, go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Malware and phising protection and turn it off. Then download the file, and once it finishes downloading, you can turn it back on.
  21. It's good for pretty much anything EM4 can throw at you. Only thing I would recommend doing is getting a better Graphics Card eventually, but you should be good for a while. That's a heck of a deal compared to my PC. I've put about $900 into my rig, and that one has a little bit of a weaker GPU and a better processor. Wish I would have seen this. :/
  22. Take your time, personal life comes first. Good luck with progress!
  23. It's a good budget build, however I recommend spending a little extra money going with a GTX 760. It's not too much more expensive and it's a generation above the recommended for GTA V PC.
  24. Doesn't have to be in support. It relates to the mod so it belongs here. Greatly looking forward to the Beta, looks like you've done a great job so far.
  25. Dang, Intel HD graphics. Emergency 4 really doesn't like them. Sorry bro
