Just a quick question. When I'm playing this mod, I can't buy more units than the ones that I have when I start the game. Is it possible to buy more units? Is it necessary to edit some files?

EDIT: I also want to know if there is a problem with time between events edits. I have set a 6 minutes time between events, which works great when starting a game, but when I save that game and load later, the param doesn't work properly, because events hapen faster than 6 minutes, even together.

First off I'd like to thank you for using the apparently invisible edit button, it's much appreciated.

I haven't played the mod in a while but it most likely has a cap on the amount of units you can buy. I haven't done it for a while but I believe this can be changed in LondonModv1.3/specs/freeplaybase.xlm under the "Count" part.

Modded save games are absolutely dreadful and always like to go wrong, so unless you are playing in 'challenge' freeplay rather than normal freeplay it doesn't sound like something that can be fixed. Someone may have had the same issue and can offer more help.

I have a bug I think it might be my just my old and bad PC but I got a jumper, so I sent USAR and they couldn't install the jump pad, a few hours later I got the same call but around an hour earlier I found the brush patrol and then I had them install the pad, it worked. But when he jumped the game crashed :/

I get this glitch where sometimes when one of my FF/EMTs hook up a hose the hose disappears and they can't unplug the hose, when they do it crashes the game.

Please don't double post, this is against the ToS agreed to upon joining. Use the edit feature in future.

I just had a question and don't know if this is the right place, in Copenhagen mod how do you remove the roof on the fire station?

From what I remember, it cannot be hidden in-game. Because everything is automatic, there was no need to fully see into the station so the feature was not added.

I have modded textures on weak computers, and your time is spent with actually waiting for your edits to register within the program, than actually making new content. Every paint bucket, line drawn, section selected and even scrolling lags out in my case which is why its taken years for me to even get one single street, let alone a full city.

As a low-end PC user, I can 100% agree with this. You do need something that can handle it, otherwise, as Itch pointed out, most of your time will be spending waiting for the different processes to finish. This is extremely difficult if you plan to make a full/freeplay map.

Scrap this. All I'm getting from this is this and that from people I tried to do stuff and I cant. I'm terriable. I will keep the stuff I made for uJordy.

Well, when you want to use other people's content you have to be willing to follow their rules. After all, they took the time to create these things and sometimes they do not want other people using something that they put effort in to make. Of course there is content out there that people have made for others to use as well. There is some in our download center, and a huge library at www.emergency-forum.de. I believe that a large part of modding is about learning and creating, not copying and pasting. When making a mod you have to be willing to learn new things and get things done on your own. You'll always feel proud of the stuff you have managed to create knowing that it is in fact yours.

Over time you learn more and get a lot better at it, you just have to be patient. Here's an example of a unit I did in 2014 and my current WIP attempt at re-doing it:

Im pretty sure you dont need permission if it is private, right? and is this due to large volume of permission requests?

If it is private then no (though as Itchboy pointed out credits still need to be given in screenshots), however if test versions or similar are being given out then it'd no longer be private, which goes against the original author's terms.

A lot of authors don't like their content being edited or used for a large variety of reasons, and they have every right to say so. I do not know the reason for this Mod but at the end of the day I don't believe it matters. Hope this helps.

Soon we will have testing for this

If you are planning on using content from the London Mod such as the Atego above then please remember that no release of this mod can be given out (privately or publicly) so as to respect Mintcake's wishes highlighted below.

Please don’t PM me asking to use the London Mod (especially the map) as a starting point for ANY kind of submod…No permission will be given now…Or anytime in the future!

If you download it again its packed into .emp4 files not .v30 files

I'm looking for the unpacked as well

When a .v30 or .e4p file is compressed in the EM4 editor to encrypt it and make it smaller we call that packing/unpacking too, which is why I couldn't understand why mine would be unpacked but yours wouldn't as we would have downloaded the same file.

When the whole mod is compressed into an E4MOD file, simply run it through the Mod installer to release the contents.

I would say my only gripe with this mod and others like Kent mod is you have hazmat units but no hazmat calls it seems like they have removed the hazmat calls so what point is it having these units would add such a different dynamic to the mods if we actually had the very occasional hazmat call like not too many though as would not then be that realistic

I'd actually have to agree with this, despite the fact that I didn't follow it myself. Though things like HART are used for more than just chemical incidents there are units that are solely for those incidents included in some mods, and they have no use. They definitely make for interesting incidents too due to the amount of things you have to factor in and organize.
