  1. I agree, I don't think we need a mission where everyone lost that day.
  2. This isn't an LA Mod submod, this is a stand-alone mod. Use the Mod Installer to install it.
  3. Wow, that's great, why hasn't anyone ever done this before?
  4. ConEd is an electric company. That and their steam systems. That's all they do, no wrecks, no down traffic lights. They just supply electricity and steam to New York businesses and houses. Why not call it Tec? Sure it sounds generic but that's what it is. It's way better than calling it an electric company.
  5. You named the whole tec section ConEd?
  6. Uh, I don't live in New York (California actually) but I highly doubt that an electric company would have any cranes. Especially ones that would handle wrecked cars.
  7. Can we not use ConEd? That's what everybody expects...why not NY DoT? Or some generic electricion?
  8. I don't think this is a submod...
  9. I think you could incorporate it into a freeplay event or a mission if you guys do any. Maybe just somewhere on the map? In the shop maybe?
  10. I'd suggest WinRAR, but, just install that and the file you downloaded from me should now be a ".7zip" file or something like that. If it's not, right click on the file, select "open with" and choose 7Zip.
  11. If that happens, if you haven't already, download either WinRAR or 7Zip. I use WinRAR to package the files so they aren't so big.
  12. What's the problem? I just tested the download and it works perfectly fine.
  13. Wait, what? I thought this was featuring a 9/11 inspired mission due to all of pictures you've been showing of WTC models. So, you're supporting someone else's project, totally seperate obvously, by posting things of theirs in your topic? That's a really great idea isn't it... I also completely agree with the fact that the whole thing is a bunch of smoke and mirrors untill you see a finished product (insert WIP that never came to fruition here) but at least they had a previous version which is more than other mods can say. But, ultimatly, you can say what you want because that's what an open forum is about, sharing whatever you want with everyone, even those who could care less. So, don't be too surprised why they criticize you, becuase they have a right to think and say (to an extent) whatever they want.
  14. In my oppinion, the map is amazing. It feels like a real section of New York. Now, granted there aren't a lot of NYC models in it yet, but the layout is superb. I'm sure everyone will love the new map.
  15. Please don't ask for release dates or completion progress. It violates the ToS you agreed to and it's just plain rude. Dyson, or another member of our team, will let you know what progress we have made. There are alot of changes being made so please be patient.
  16. Have you seen their other videos? They're amazing, OC spray, climbing ladders, hydrant to engine connections, repelling down cliffs, lifting up cars with jacks, ect.
  17. I can't get highway bars to open in the light editer. If I knew how to, I would. On another note, you're right, it's not missing a prototype but it doesn't work like other similar systems I've encountered like this one. In others, the prototype had the movable peice in the upright position so you could edit the lights so I thought it was missing that. So, all in all, I'm most likely going to either not do them, or just wing it and try to place the in mid air.
  18. Firstly, I appologize for sparse updates and, frankly, this thread drying up pretty well. To remedy said situation for some time, I present to you some good news. So, secondly, you can find an update on the first post with a link to v1.2! Changelog: -NYPD Dodge Charger -NYPD Disorder Control Van -NYPD Disorder Control Transport -NYPD HWY RMP Dodge Charger *beta* -NYPD Rollback -NYPD Tow -NYPD Tow 2 And, by "beta", I mean that the highway bar's lights are non functional. You can raise/lower the bars but no lights will be on them. This is due to a missing prototype for them, this is a bug with the NYC Mod and something I cannnot fix.
  19. I'm pretty sure you're talking about the New York Modification. (They have pictures in their topic.) As far as I can remember, roof ventilations were never mentioned in this submod.
  20. I didn't mean the in-out pattern, I meant on the slick top on the rear adviser (The back and forth 1 blue and 3 amber pattern) but the same could go for the bar as well.
  21. I know I'm pretty late to the party but great job you guys. Best attempt to revitalize the LA Mod I've ever seen. I, unfortunately have a favor to ask of you CFD, if you're going to keep doing the CHP slick top's rear 3 amber, 1 blue and 1 red pattern in the rear, can you please leave the red out? Every time I see a CHP unit with that pattern, the red is never used. (And I see a lot of them, they've been really stepping up enforcement here in Santa Barbara County)
  22. @ LA K9 - try downloading again? I hope the file hasn't disappeared or anything but keep trying, hopefully it will work. @ StyphaX - Honestly, I don't fully understand what you are trying to say you dislike, first I thought the lights were out of place, but then it was the lights were white? Although, I think I know what you're saying...let me explain...As you can see the vehicle in the rear (Dodge Charger) has a black roof and the car in the middle (CVPI) has a white roof. The bright colors do not show up well on a bright roof. The colors are correct, as you stated they were at night, but they appear washed out due to the intense bright white roof. I hope I helped in explaining the visual issue you're experiencing.
