Anyway, this sucks. That guy has really poisoned this community beyond his mere presence. If you ever feel like working on your mod again, at least I can promise that bombeiro won't be back here.

Frankly, it's your call but judging by the unanimously good feedback you were getting in your mod topic here, I wonder who/what made you want to quit. The fact that you wrote your message in Portuguese makes me think the people who caused you problems are from some place else.

Haven't tried BF3's MP mode yet, and it does look promising. However I'd treat it and COD as two different concepts, not competing ones. MW3 is based on smaller maps and solely shooting, while BF has vehicular gameplay (which is a downside when you consider that most vehicles that require teamplay to operate properly are taken in a matter of seconds by an idiot kid who immediately crashes them).

From what I could see, the BF3 plot was pretty much headed the exact same way as the Modern Warfare storyline, except it was too short to even get there. False flag attacks on a country to trigger World War 3? Hmmm... "No Russian", anyone? Besides, the campaign took control away from you every 5 minutes or so for some kind of cutscene, you could almost feel like the game was playing itself.

James Bond's Aston Martin falling off a truck? Head-on train collision? Police chopper shot down by a jet fighter? My kind of game. Welcome back, true GTA spirit (not that IV was a bad game by any means)

Well the campaign was there to fill the gaps and close the loop of the MW1-2 storyline. I didn't find it particularly poor. On the other hand, BF3, which was praised left and right as a far better game than CoD, had a short and unappealing campaign that looked precisely like a ripoff of the MW and BO campaigns.

Thing is, MW3 wasn't bad at all. Very similar to MW2? Of course. But by all means, not bad.

That won't be necessary, I think we've got the situation under control. The only spambot activity I noticed today was from bots that had already registered before I set up the new email restrictions. Just a matter of catching those stragglers now...

Then again, a lot of them don't make it past the validation stage for some reason. Yet they're crafty enough to go through two layers of CAPTCHA.

It varies. When it's really bad, you can get a new bot every 1 to 5 minutes. On average I'd say it was one every 10 minutes.

Seems to have worked, no new bots have signed up for almost 3 hours.

I'd say he's the lesser of two evils. Surely not the best president the US has ever had, but you can't in all good conscience think that a millionnaire with a known history of outsourcing jobs,- who thinks that letting people lose their jobs and homes ("let Detroit go bankrupt") is a good way to fix the economy, and who went so far as to diss 47% of the population, is fit to be president.
