  1. The problem is still their.

    I have tried reinstalling, turning off firewall (+ adding exceptions)

    This seems to be the problem:


    *** EXCEPTION 1 at d:\emergency4deluxe\source\gameengineem4\baselib\array.h (103): Out of memory
    !WARNING: global listener object is still registered! Unregister listener before destroying object!

    But my memory is 4 GB so I don't understand.

    There is a bug in the mod if your are playing for about 20 minutes to mod will crash, I don't have this problem with other mods only with this one, is their an solution?

    Als ik de Egmond mod speel voor zo ongeveer 20 minuten crash hij op een gegeven moment, is hier een oplossing voor want het is op zich wel een leuke mod op te spelen ;)/

    Nederlands: Dit kan je bij elke mod krijgen en is gewoon een bug in Emergency 4 zelf. Sommige mensen krijgen dit bij de LA mod, andere niet en die krijgen het bij een andere mod. Er is geen fix voor.

    English: You can get the crash at every mod, it's just a bug in Emergency 4 itself. Some people get it with the LA mod, while others get it with an other mod. There is no fix.

    I've been working for quite a long time on a Dispatch Simulator.

    Basically it allows you to dispatch vehicles and talk to the 911 caller.

    You will have to talk to her/him and get information, like a street address.

    You will also need to help the person, if needed give instructions or calm the person down.

    Voice control will be added when the simulator is almost finished.

    A dutch version is already out, but of course it's dutch.

    That is because I am dutch ;)

    First of all, I haven't read all the topic (sorry if I say something which might already been said.)

    I voted for the MMORPG game.

    This because of there being quite a few dispatching simulations out there. (Making one myself actually. Source code is already out there. I started over.)

    Tho, a lot of these are German. So it might be fun to have an American version out there.

    But since I like MMORPG more, and I think most people do, (Call of Duty isn't form based is it^^) I think MMORPG would sell better and be more fun.

    Not making an MMORPG myself because I think it's harder.

  5. We only do one patch per version unless a major issue arises... The next update will be a full version release, not just a patch and I have no idea when we will be done it, although some if not most of your changes probrably will not be compatible with the next full version just so you're aware.

    I was just wondering, because I like the mod but I always like to go scripting and optimize it for myself, is there a patch coming anytime soon, if not I'm going to script some stuff to my wishes.

  7. Mod leaders should be able to model themselves.

    Tell me, what have you done for the mod?

    Not that much is it?

    It's not a surprise to me that the mod went dead.

    First try making a vehicle.

    If that goes, try skinning it, uv mapping etc...

    Then put it ingame.

    If you manage to do that, try some editor work.

    Then try again...

    Getting enough experience to create a mod atleasts takes a few months.

    Tho, I keep having this thought: A mod leader should atleast be possible to create models. Skin/UV-map them and put them ingame...

  9. Uhm, not to be irritating or something but...

    You say you have no experience at all with creating mods. So how are you going to make the most complicated thing EVER!

    It would be easier to create a whole new game! Think of it, you'll have to create: New vehicles (No problem), New buildings (No problem), New persons... Now that last one is a problem! Try to open a emergency 4 person in a modeling program... Good luck creating something similar... Other things; New map (Not a problem), New animations (Not a problem), New scripts... Now here you got a small problem! You can't use the standard move and get scripts. This because you got new animations. You'll have to change or recreate these scripts...

    Now a normal mod which is released in about 2 years contains only:

    -New vehicles

    -New map

    -New scripts

    -New buildings (Sometimes.)

    That is by very experienced people. You say you have no experience, so good luck creating this mod.

    For experienced people it would take years... For you... I think a decade or more.

  10. you might want to point that vo to another const char than vo_usar2. there is a vo named usar2 and it might confuse it maybe

    Hmm, I kinda solved the problem.

    Instead of DUMMY_CALLCREW, i mistyped and has DUMMY,CALLCREW

    Fixed.

    Lock this.

  11. could you post the whole script please(from rapidshare or something). from what i can see it seems like you are missing something but i cant get my fingers on it.

    Hmm, I edited the script on my other computer (just as I did with the map). So I don't got the file here now, but I will post it when I get on my other pc.

    I started editing the LA mod, and the first thing I did was add a VO called 'fsx_usar'.

    I added the following lines to the firestationstart.script:

    I get the error (don't know it exactly): "Undefined DUMMY in current scope" (or something like that.)

    When I press ignore, the vehicle is where I placed it, but no crew goes in it... This is obviously because of the error.

    Anybody?

  13. I'm at my 3rd mission (every week has a new mission)

    It's a nice game but it does get boring after a while.

    The fastest speed isn't that fast and it can take while till something happens.

    I still only got these 3 crimes: Stabbing, Robbery and Homicide.

    If I had to rate this game:

    Gameplay: 6

    Graphics: 6

    Variation: 4

    Overall: 5.3

  14. Wait, wait, wait, If I understood well, mod will be released by the end of this week? Maffegozer is so written in his post of 6. february.....

    Yeah it was said on the 6th of febuary on twitter.. The mod will come by the end of next week. There's hardly any bugs so it will come soon..

    I meant that I expected it to be released this week.

    This is not stated by the Berlin Mod Team.

    It is not said by them that it will be released this week.

    What is officially stated by them is that it will be released in Q1 of 2011.

    Nope it doesn't as i'm running it on my own pc (for now)

    initial catalog and integrated security or something xd

    Going well now.
