  1. I am just wanted to gauge feedback on just how real people want the fire stations to be in my submod. If I were to take a more realistic approach it would mean removing the ALS Engine from FS1, which I dont see as a big problem since you have ALS Ambulances there anyways. Unrealistic wise you would have for example, say I choose to base FS1 off Station 88. You would still have Tiller/Truck 88 but rather then using the LTI Tiller like in the mod and IRL, you would have an American La France Tiller with the LED Lightbars. (some what)Realistic wise, if Truck 88 is in a LTI Tiller, they stay in an LTI Tiller. If the station has a BLS RA rather then USAR, you would have a BLS RA rather then a USAR. Now there would be some additional units placed at each station that might not belong there IRL. However most likley it would be reduced to 1 BC and 1 EMS Supervisor stationed on the map. The Large Rescue ambulance would remain a rescue truck despite the fact is is used for the LAFD Cycle team IRL.
  2. @FF, thanks for finding the screen shot. Well I have a feeling it will be pretty stable. Im sure no matter what it will have its bugs, but for some reason I have faith in the guys. Which is why I dont like the term impossible I think just about anything can be accomplished in this game, it is simply a matter of knowing how to script it.

Not a recent call, but just came to mind for some reason...so the old man was driving and he ended up having a heart attack,stroke,seizure, something along that line...well I guess if you cant make it to the hospital..the next best thing would be the AMR office.   6. Actually, you can disable it in the freeplay_params and then probably script a command to turn it on and off. It would take a very complex script I imagine but I imagine its possible.

  10. The traffic issue - Make sure you have LA Mod 2.0 and patch 2. This should help. Fire station - no idea what you mean.

  12. The game doesnt allow alot of things but that hasnt stopped mods from accomplishing it. As for seasons, Winterberg has an option to turn snow on and off so I dont see why this wouldnt be possible.
  13. From the rules page: * Double posting, miss-usage of the font sizes and caps-lock writing is not tolerated and will result in a warning. You dont do anything with the v3o in notepad, v3o is a model file created by zmodeler. You do the UV Mapping in zmodeler. I think you need to stop and read some of the tutorials in the tutorials section and things will be more clear to you.
  14. Yes gimp needs a plug in but over all it works with more file types and is more advanced then paint.net.
  15. I dont think you can set them to throw them or not. The riots are controlled by a VO and maybe a trigger. I havent really looked in to it myself, but I think its hard coded to where if you dont arrest the protesters before a certain amount of time, they will start throwing Molotov cocktails.
  16. Im going to guess that the Mobile Command Post was Voodo's model and he wants credit it for it, but Id wait for Voodo to clarify to be sure.
  17. Read the tutorial posted in the last thread you made about building models. Its 3 steps. It doesnt get any easier.

  19. Sketch up models do not convert to EM4 models easily. In-fact I have yet to see a mod that has actually put skp models in to EM4. The polygon counts sky rockets when you convert. The axis gets screwed up. More things I cant recall. Everyone interested in modeling is better off learning to use zmodeler2. You can get a free version on there site that will allow you to create models. The learning curve is much steeper but in the long run it saves you a big headache.

Well Tim showed off a program they developed ages ago that would allow you to select various options in regards to the mod, such as play as fire only, ems only, police only, or even play fire and ems only, or police only. It also had the ability to select different maps and so forth. A few pages back they gave a some what detailed situation about how the maps would work but at the same time, left some unanswered questions.
  21. How can any one help if they dont know what the original file type it and what you wanted it converted to. It could mean covnert a rar to a zip, a txt to a doc, a bmp to jpg, png to jpg,etc.
